Arnessysla Heritage Museum - The House at Eyrarbakki. One of Iceland's oldest houses, built by Danish traders in 1765. At the Arnessysla Heritage Museum's varied exhibitions, visitors can experience past times and learn about the remarkable history of the area. Opening hours: 1th May - 30th Sept. Daily: 10-17. The Women´s Book Lounge is an educational museum dedicated to the preservation of the writings of Icelandic female writers. The goal of the woman book lounge is to find and preserve writings from Icelandic women through the ages and present the authors and their work in our country and abroad. Icelanders and foreigners interested in Icelandic literature are welcome to visit the site at Eyrarbakki and to browse through the collection and read books during opening hours. Arrangements may be made for off-hour visitations by groups.

Solvangur in South Iceland is a family run horse breeding farm where people can meet the Icelandic horse by visiting the stable, the farms Stable Cafe, horse souvenir shop and/or take riding lessons.
