Some improvement needed in Room Cleaning, stickers on shower wall left by previous guests still seen in Room 206. The Television has no reception and toilet seat cover is faulty in Room 206. Shower pressure is low and inconsistent in Room 201.
Breakfast did not offer much varieties. Had lunch at the HornBill, food was delicious though !!
Many swimmers in the pool are not with proper attire but in their home clothes..maybe its the local trend??
Beringgis Beach Resort & Spa is a beautiful resort fronting the South China Sea full of activities along the beach.
However we find it very hectic to carry our baggages down two flights of stairs followed by dragging them along the pathway to our room. Surely be great help if there is a trolley ramp or Porters to assist !!!

Beringgis Beach Resort Sabah Maylaysia

we arrived on saturday night the staff were friendly and aknowledge our arrival. The driver toke our bags to the room while we signed in. The room is a standard hotel room you would expect. In the morning we toke our time in looking around our resort and found it well above the star rating the resort is on. Breakfast is cooked for you at the Cabana Cafe with a beautiful veiw of the south china sea. The Cafe caters for all. The staff are very friendly and warm welcome is always offered. But be sure of what you order as you can recieve double your breakfast. The Swimming pool is a great way to start your holiday or you can enjoy a stoll along the beach while watching the horses been trained. The Beringgis is 27km from KK and while it is a bit out of the way it makes the resort more personal and you get to meet people from all over the world. The resort offers transport there but it leaves at 10.00am and returns from KK at 2.45pm but if this does not suit your needs just walk down to the road and catch a bus for $4rgt. This way you get to meet the locals who like to talk and let you know about their world. We enjoyed our meals at the beringgis especially the sweet and sour prawns. Kieth and the his staff looked after us for the whole time we were there and we recommend this reort as a great choice for anyone who likes to have a quiet and relaxing time while in Sabah.

Enjoyed our 10 day stay....yes it is 25km out of KK, but we hired a car at very reasonable rates and were able to see everyting we had researched and more.We were in a Dinawan room and the amenities were good. We had issues with the A/C most days, but the maintenance man fixed the problem...each day....The staff are very friendly and helpful, with the exception of Jeffrey....We dined in the Cabana Cafe and were thrilled to be greeted by name by Severina and Ida...they are real gems to this place...the breakfast is varied each morning and if you are prepared to try some different food, is also quite good....not so the coffee.....The surroundings are spacious and the beach clean ....the pools are also very clean and inviting.....The main focus of the resort seems to be on the conventions that are obviously an integral part of their business......we didn't feel at all left out, but little info is available on tourism, which we thought should have been Jeffrey's responsibility...but he was uninterested. If we were ever to venture back to Borneo we would definitely stay here again..for a peaceful and tranquil holiday.

Stayed at this hotel for the final 2 days of a Malaysia/Borneo trekking holiday & have told the tour company to stop using this hotel in their itinerary. Whole stay very poor. There was a large conference going on while we were there and all other guests were basically an inconvenience. We arrived in eve after long journey to be told there was only 1 restaurant open & no capacity in that restaurant for dinner for us, spa & gym were also both closed. The location of hotel means there is nowhere else to eat (esp on a Sunday) so only option was mediocre room service option. We waited over an hour for breakfast both mornings & the food was atrocious. Ordered lunch on 2nd day & most people’s was inedible. Front of house manager tried to help but it was beyond help unfortunately. Bedrooms were fairly clean & comfortable but that’s only positive. Its also a ‘beach resort’ but we were warned not to go in the beach or in the water as it wasn’t clean, great advert! Needs to do some serious improvements to its food offerings & customer service, would not recommend at all

Receptionist Nabilah was not accomodating, check in time was 3pm so we thought nothing of it, but Everyone wants to be checked in at the same time, could have let us fill up the forms and make the deposits way before that so that the crowd is smaller, going into the room can wait. FYI, You haul your own bags.

Beachfront is closed but accessible from the side of the hotel defeating the warning sign, pool has no attendant and no towels, slide is made of concrete that is not smooth and is starting to crumble, speaking of towels, there wasn't enough of it to go around, requested for an extra bed but there is none available for us. Breakfast refill was slow and food is mediocre at best.

The drive home is much more pleasant.

Food - awful.. paying RM100 per person for their New Year Celebration countdown. Not worth of the money you pay. Tasteless food..

Room - no towels provided, have to call the reception and asked for it

I have to wait almost 3 hour to get in to the room. Time to check in is on 2pm but i only can check in around 4.30pm. After that, when i went to check out i have to wait again because they want to ensure everything in that room is still there. I WILL NEVER GO STAY HERE ANYMORE.

My family stayed at standard room of Beringgis for 7 nights to enjoy a lovely summer holiday. With the offer of US$80 per night, Beringgis is really an affordable beachside resort. Not just for the room rate, the restaurant also offers great Malaysian and international cuisine at a very good price.

We love the huge garden right outside your room, the swimming pool with a slide for the kids, and the peaceful beach with small crabs running around during the low-tide. If you live in a crowded city everyday, Beringgis can give you a few days of escape from the concrete and let you enjoy the nature.

Two downsides for this resort. First, the room is quite dusty because the housekeeping does not use vacuum cleaner. The other disadvantage is that it is 45 mins away from downtown. You definitely need to arrange transportation.

40+ kilometers from Kota Kinabalu.
The beach is large but looks like a country side beach with the cows walking around. The sand is very fine and thus the water is dirty. Altough there are signs all around warning the swimmers about the jelly fish, I never found any in the water.
Out of two rooms I stayed there in one toilet flush was not working in the other there was no hot water in the shower. Besides in both of them air-conditioner were not working. The front desk proposed me the third room, but the air-conditioner in it was not working either.

Hi Suzanne, this hotel is situated in a quiet area. There is one restaurant on the other side of the street. But the Beringgis kitchen and menu is better. And you can eat always near the beach. Ideal if you want a few relaxing days after your roundtrip. Enjoy your Borneo holidays. Kind regards Miranda & Rinie😎

It's a restaurant in the Resort and you can also buy a water and some stuff at the reception. The cheapest way to Kota Kinabalu is to take a transfer from the Resort.
