Treated my Friend to a Spa Day with Afternoon Tea for her 60th Birthday. We both enjoyed our day very much! All the Staff were Lovely! Thankyou Claire, for my Full Body Massage it was Amazing!! A Great Place to Relax and Unwind. Thankyou😊
My sister and I stayed for a spa break before Christmas. The staff were so friendly, food excellent and facilities good. our room was spacious, warm and clean. We missed breakfast unfortunately but were able to take some pastries and a coffee away with us. On leaving the hotel I spotted a puncture on my car, the maintenance staff at the hotel were able to help us out with changing it which I meant I didn't miss my appointment, so helpful 10/10 customer service - thank you to Andy and Adam working at the hotel!
Stayed here for two nights for my birthday! Very well organised and staff very friendly at front desk. Room was delightful and very spacious. Unfortunately we had bad weather when we stayed so only down side was room was quite chilly at some points but nothing too severe. Breakfast was hot and a nice size. Would recommend… but wouldn’t say it screamed luxury!
Had a smashing afternoon tea here, (with a difference) A range of afternoon teas are provided here and we didn’t want the usual cream tea option, so we opted for the savoury afternoon tea, which was most interesting and delicious. We kicked off with a glass of very acceptable champagne. Tea consisted of mini croque monsieurs, savoury croquettes, leek and cheese tartlets, smoked salmon tartlets and mini burgers en brioche with tomato chutney, (all home-made I might add) A plate of savoury sandwiches accompanied this repast - lunch and tea in one, all washed down with pots of strong, robust Assam. The staff here are lovely, very friendly without being obtrusive and most efficient. The dining room is very pleasant indeed and we felt relaxed and unhurried. The cost for all this is very reasonable - in short, a great afternoon. Highly recommended.…
More details and family-friendly reviews on my blog 'The Frenchie Mummy' and on Instagram @thefrenchiemummy. So Google it and have a look there too. Merci We stayed at the hotel with my family last week and I came home happy and rested. Our room was lovely, and everything was there to make us feel comfortable. The service was impeccable at every stage, and we really loved the spa too. Lovely country house with great staff. The hotel might look more like a romantic spot for couples, but it is super family-friendly too. My son certainly enjoyed exploring the grounds as well as the pool.
We had a wonderful afternoon tea and thoroughly enjoyed it with a glass of bubbly that was very enjoyable. Staff was so helpful and friendly 10/10 Well done to all the staff on duty, Would definitely recommend.
Really delicious Afternoon Tea - even with some hungry teenagers we needed a doggy bag! The service was genuinely excellent; the teas really a feature of the whole experience - the chance to try unusual ones was a bonus. We had pre-booked for a birthday, and had a mixture of standard and savoury teas - this made it much more interesting than most places. The lovely staff and the beautiful but relaxed surroundings made for a really memorable birthday.
We visited here for a night away for my wife’s birthday. This hotel is a hidden gem, intimate whilst being classy. Set in some lovely grounds with games to play outside, and a lovely bar and terrace for eating and drinking outside. We also made use of the spa which was relaxing. The room we had was fantastic, along with the all the staff who were great from start to finish. Definitely one on our list for a return visit in the future.
We went to a family wedding and had an excellent time. Service was exceptional as well as the food and drinks. Room was good too. I forgot a couple of items in the cupboard and only realised when I got home. The hotel staff (special mention to Gabriela) for kindly arranging for my items to be delivered to my home. Thank you so much for a memorable time there and the faultless service.
The hotel is simply far too expensive for what it provides. Pros are that the grounds are lovely and staff reasonably friendly. Cons: poorly staffed ( not enough people), lacklustre service, horrid dining experience at lunch, very salty sandwich ( declined dinner and went to bed hungry ), average room with tired decor and a stained carpet. All for over £200 a night for an executive room. The spa was ok but too many kids on arrival. Massage ok but, again, overpriced. I wish I’d paid a bit more at a different hotel and got a better experience.
