This area does not offer a large choice of hotels. So you take what you get. In this respect Marie's motel is not bad at all. Simple, reasonably comfortable establishment provides the required facility for a good night's rest. It has a simple chinise restaurant, as is the lovely young chinese couple that run the place. We had a decent dinner and sum up the stay as pleasent.

The only motel in Springdale and on our specific tour route and good enough for one night. The village is well kept with nice houses and trees. The booking area was in the restaurant . The staff were pleasant and anxious to please It was comfortable and with more room than another we stayed in and the bathroom larger than some, quite typical of small country towns. We did get a seniors rate for the room and for dinner. There is a Chinese buffet every night, rather mediocre but there are few other places in this village to go to. It is popular enough.

Marie's is a tired property that is fair value. It has seen better days but is not charging 3 star prices. It is well located on the main street and easily accessible to what Springdale has to offer. We did not try the restaurant which is attached. Staff are friendly and helpful. Not a great business motel as it is short on electrical outlets and in room lighting is poor.

I booked this Motel in December 2022 for arrival on June 19, 2023. My husband and I were traveling to Newfoundland from Ontario. We drove there from the Gander Airport to find it closed. We could see they had a fire in the motel. I had to call them and left a message thanking them for not me know! They called back and said their records showed they had contacted me. This was a lie. I only have a cell, so if they couldn’t reach me, I would of had a voice mail, and no such message occurred. So now we had to start looking for a place to stay. I see their web site is still up, and nothing pops up says closed.

Room was clean and the bed was comphy. But Metal bed frames stick into walk ways very cramped space. No air-conditioning. Fan in the bathroom didn't work. Staff no where to be found at checkout time. No one around for breakfast service.

Stayed here for a couple nights while in the area for business, very uncomfortable stay due to having no air conditioning , carpets were very dirty and outdated, paint peeling off walls , just all around gross. Do not stay here !!! And if you stay more than one night your room will not be cleaned.

Really clean, down to the steri-strip on the toilet. A little expensive for what is essentially a one star hotel room, but again, it's clean. The wifi works well. No AC, but the room came with a fan. All we needed was a bed to sleep in and a hot shower before we got back on the road, so it worked out fine for us.

What a disappointment for this motel! The only good thing that I could say is that the people were pleasant and helpful with the wifi. This place is very, very old and it looks like they are trying to update the place, but you could tell that financially they can't do it all at once. The toilet was brand new, however, the faucet was leaking, walls were peeling, no place to hang towels, and the beds were squeaky. They had no bath mats, (my friend slipped in the tub while trying to adjust the water since it was randomly hot and cold) which can be a hazard. When using the TV, one remote is for sound, and the other remote is for the channels. We stayed here because this was the only thing available at the time. I would not stay here again! I would spend a little more money and look at nearby King's Point.

We had a good time to stay there, the host are very friendly and helpful, room is clean and bed is comfortable. Good food in the restaurant,the cost is lower than average. there are gas/food supplies nearby, it's a great stop during the long drive.

A great place for small town Newfoundland.
Fantastic people working here, motel style rooms, and a dinner that was amazing.
One of our family members has celiac disease, so we asked for something gluten free and it was delivered. Just fantastic.
The honey garlic short ribs were fantastic. A must try for anyone who loves ribs.
