The village is located just beside the beach and made of very comfortable bungalows lined up in a pine wood. Each one is provided with a pretty veranda, table, chairs, and accessible by disabled ramp. Peaceful sleep is assured. All one may need for vacation is available in there. Personnel are kindly ready to satisfy any request. Cooking is unique and delicious. The chef is usually inspired by the local tradition to arrange the daily menu. Dishes are mainly made by Km 0 food. It's hard to follow a diet! Anyway, opportunities to practice physical activities are very many. The village is about all a sailing school. Every day guests sail in the deep blue of Jonio Sea. An expert technical team monitors constantly what happens to boats, ready to quickly intervene on necessity. Canoe and wind surf are available but also tennis, soccer, biking, and horse riding as for terrestrial activities. I spent 1 week in September with my wife and friends. One of the best holidays of ever. Italy is great. Castroboleto is great. Thanks.

Two weeks in the middle of august 2016 with good and bad things....In other words an holiday with lights an shadows...Good the animation ... not at the same level the accomodation...mobilhouse of the C series are old and non suitable for a family og 4 people...

Castorboleto was a great experience while visiting the region Basilicata. The bungalows are perfectly suited for families with smaller or bigger children, the restaurant is simply amazing and the staff is truly polite and happy in their job. The sea is only 5 minutes walk through a private gate and the private beach has everything one desires. Very sympathic, that chairs and umbrellas are included, no hidden extra fees. This vacation was a 10/10.

We stayed one week at Castroboleto in mid June 2015, just when their season had started. We loved the bungalow, it was cozy, new, clean, everything worked well. Nice shower with good pressure etc. The 2 bedrooms were opposite each other, which allows for more privacy. The pine forest in which the bungalows stand, was also very pretty. We liked the fact that we were the only non-Italians on the entire holiday village, and we could immerse ourselves into the Italian holiday way of life. The on-site restaurant was spectacular in terms of quality and low price levels. It lacked maybe a bit in atmosphere (feels more like a school canteen). The staff was super friendly, especially Valentino, who spoke excellent English and went out of his way to help us with all our questions. We liked that the village had both a pool and the beach, although the pool looks more like a school swimming pool than a holiday resort swimming pool, but I guess it is better for real swimming. The beach was very clean and we never had large waves, which was good for the kids. The beach as such is maybe not the most stunningly beautiful, but it is nice enough. We did not take part too much in the animazione program, it was of course all in Italian. Some shows in the evening were fun to watch even without understanding much, and some aqua aerobics during daytime is nice to have when enjoying so much good italian food. Baby dance in the evening for the kids was also nice. One thing we did not love so much was the noise from the neighbouring holiday villages, which all have a show in the evening with music and some talking into the microphone. One Saturday it did not finish until past midnight. Our kids managed to fall asleep nevertheless somehow. But I am quite sure that the evening entertainment is a very common thing all over Italy in all holiday resorts, and one better is prepared for this when planning a trip to this country. Final comment: Do double-check with any accommodation of this type what is included in the price and what not: Linen, cleaning, deckchairs at the beach (if yes, how many)
