Such a beautiful place! The room was very nice and also the staff was incredibly nice and kind. We really had a wonderful time and we hope to come back soon. You can also park just in front of the hotel.
The room was filthy and with cheap bedclothes. But the worst of all was the bathroom: the door did not close (you could put your finger in-between), the bathtub was rusted(!!!!!!), The trash can did not have his cover any more (seriously, what does it cost to change this?).... I think the pictures speak for themselves, this is not a three star hotel but a cheap motel. The only positive thing was the environment which was nice.
This is not only a very pleasant historic hotel (no lift!) but also an excellent restaurant open to the public which is incredible value for money. 12 euros for a complete lunch! Worth a visit, but may be closed on some summer Saturdays for weddings, etc.
It was difficult to pick a score because the thing that were good were very good, but the things that were bad ruined the day. The pro photos make it look like it is a countryside inn....it is in the center of town surrounded by buildings. We passed it twice because it didn't look like the photos! Look for the blue signs instead. We requested a king bed, but got 2 twins pushed together. This is common in Europe, but this hotel doesn't have the mattress joiners or larger blankets to make it feel like a king. Our room (10) had one small window and a skylight. No AC. It was a bit rainy and humid so we opened the window (noisy) but not the skylight (rain). The restaurant is the saving grace. Excellent service, value, and quality. They have a 19E fixed price dinner and you can order all you want! Wine offerings were good. We tried some soups, salads, and entrees. Breakfast was also very good.…
We've been there for 3 nights in august 2014, they gave us the suite room (two floors, jacuzzi at the second floor...) at the same price. The hotel is very nice, the staff is professional and its restaurant is very good and cheap. thank you for all! great experience. the only thing not good is that the wi-fi connection doesn't work in that room, only in the hall
My BF took me here as part of my bday gift, it was a lovely rustic hotel, we had the Jacuzzi suite and we loved it ...went in the Jacuzzi every night. Perfect if you like a quiet location. We hired a car , which I think is a MUST because there is not really anything to do in the area itself , apart from a few restaurants and a pub. We drove into Santander and spent the day there, and then visited another other cities and beaches. I definitely recommend eating in the restaurant next door called Casino , amazing fresh food , very cheap. Hotel dinner was nice, however a bit expensive so only worth doing for one night if you want to try it. My only negative for this hotel is that I found the room slightly dusty, which made my allergies play up a bit, although not too much of a problem as we were hardly in the room during day. Also worth bringing a Spanish dictionary, as very few people speak English in the hotel and also in the surrounding areas.…
Would definitely recommend this hotel as a base to explore location. Excellent service, friendly helpful staff, delicious breakfasts and evening meals Lovely rooms in traditional style Located in a small village so best to have some mode of transport to get about Lots to do in area, beautiful beaches, plenty of hiking and lovely old villages
Stumbled on this place and was very pleased. The building itself was amazing built in 1482. Our room was large and spacious, very clean. The en suite was excellent too. We had the evening set menu which was lovely and delicious. Didn't have room for coffee - absolutely stuffed. Home made bread was fabulous. Treceno is tiny it doesn't take long to walk through it, but it's delightful. We sat and had a drink in the hotel before dinner, but there was also a very nice little bar across the road and we sat in the sun until it disappeared. Spanish staff on duty at night, did not speak any english, but we managed with our small amount of spanish and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The morning receptionist speaks a little english and he too was incredibly helpful. Even phoning the pharmacy for us and our medicines were waiting for us. We had the buffet breakfast which was lovely too. All in all a brilliant place to stay, the food was fab and the staff were lovely. It's only 30 km from Santander so very easy for the UK ferry and when we do that trip again will definitely use this place.…
We flew into Santander and stayed in this hotel on Friday and Sunday night. On the Saturday we drove inland for a wedding. The hotel is a lovely little gem - in a very quiet area - great bar/restaurant just next door. We liked our room on the Friday. Didn't have breakfast as we slept in! When we were checking out on the Saturday morning we mentioned about an odour of vermin in the bathroom, it was actually rather bad and we had to keep the door closed. But we were guaranteed the best room on the Sunday which is what we got - the only suite in the place with jacuzzi in the bedroom. Very impressed. They really wanted to look after us and it was well noted. Very convenient for Santander airport - just remember to put Treceno in the SatNav!!! Few lovely beach areas close by also.
It was my 40th, I couldn´t have asked for any more, it was great value for money, even put a birthday cake and candle in my room - perfect
