Well-known for its charming environment and proximity to great restaurants and attractions, Hotel Palas makes it easy to enjoy the best of Petrovac. Due to the hotel's location and offer, it is ideal for family vacations, MICE tourism, wedding ceremonies, cocktails and many other events. The outside of the hotel is surrounded by a lot of green areas of the cultivated garden and an open terrace which becomes the most popular place for various entertainment activities during the summer: from folklore to salsa evenings, ethno-Mediterranean music concerts, theatres for children, street entertainers, as well as many other entertainment facilities. Our guests have the advantage of attending all these events free of charge. One of the main focuses of our hotel is the entertainment of our younger guests, which is why we also offer a playground for children with modern equipment and a professional team of animators, as well as a games room, all within the hotel premises. The hotel features a 24-hour front desk, room service, and a gift shop. Furthermore, guests can enjoy a pool and free breakfast, which have made Palas a popular choice among travelers visiting Petrovac. Condition: Rooms and balconies are spacious. Bathroom was ok. A lot of stairs with no ramp for strollers or wheelchair.

Parking: Not enough parking spots and terrible organization. Cars are parked everywhere and even if you manage to park your car somewhere, it is very stressfull. Even more frustrating was when the parkin guy came and said that he can "save" this terrible place for us if we leave, but this will cost 10 euros. He doesn't even look like he is working there and there is no garantee that he can save the spot, because the whole place is totally chaotic. I reccommend other parking places where you can pay regularly and avoid this stress.

Beach/Pool:
Indoor and outdoor pools have seawater. Big enough and ok. There is also a small indoor pool (0.5 m) for children/infants. I didn't like that there the pools were not observed by the staff and it took me some time to find the guy responisble for pools when 4-5 young people (around 16-19) entered this small pool claiming they are children.
Do not reccommend the beach, because it smells like waste water.

Food:
We stayed here for 7 days. The food was mostly very tastefull and had god variety. Still, I reccomend not to show up late, but at least 30 min before end of the breakfast/dinner.

Cleaning/service:
The room and the bathroom were clean, but there were some small things that I find a little bit annoying:
1.There was still toothbrush package from the previous guests, in one of the drawers.
2. Bed sheets for sofa-bed were not there and we had to contact reception for this.
3. The safety box was defective. We found out that it needed new batteries and had to be cleaned, because the previous battery leaked. We contacted the reception and gave us new batteries and said that it looks like it doesn't work and they will call someone to repair it another day. We had to fix this issue and then called them again to restart/activate the box.
4. The room next to ours had some meals in the room and they placed plates with rests and glasses in front of the door, on the little table in the corridor. Nobody cleaned it for 4 days! It looks like maids think that is not their job and someone from the restaurant should take it.
Overall impression is that staff doesn't have a proper communication between each other. Reception can't help with parking, maids don't communicate with restaurant...

The positives from this hotel is the stunning full sea view from the balcony of our room, it was a wonderful sight especially watching the sunsets. We have a king size bed at home and the bed in the hotel room was even bigger and very comfortable. There was also complimentary bath robes, slippers, beach towels, free safe deposit box & upon arrival there was a plate of fruit and bottles of water left out for us.
I also liked the comfy sun loungers with sun visors there was plenty of availability for them.
The downside to the hotel are the fact you get kicked out of the main restaurant on Saturday's so that wedding receptions can take place. It might be a savvy business idea to have weddings, conferences and seminars at regular intervals but it isn't great from the hotel guests point of view. Having to endure the heavy beat of the live wedding band, screaming kids running around & messing with both the lifts - not great!
I have to say that on the whole I personally enjoyed the food & found plenty of variety although I have to agree with others that it was lukewarm at best. On a couple of ocassions even the fresh hot food that came out was in fact stone cold.
Entertainment for hotel guests was live entertainment on Saturday, Tuesday & Thursday and was good, it was a young man playing keyboard, backing tracks and songing. It was unfortunate that on the second Saturday the young man was ill and there was no alternative entertainment provided which was a great shame.
Would I return - no

We had a 3 night stay at this hotel on a half board basis. The hotel is situated on the sea front with lovely grounds and no steep hills to climb! We were a group of three couples and were given adjacent sea view rooms as requested. The rooms were adequate both in size and furnishing with a modern bathroom with excellent shower and a mini bar but was lacking a kettle for tea and coffee. Each balcony was actually big enough for all six of us to sit together. The beach was close enough to run down for a pre breakfast swim and the pool was very cool and welcoming in the afternoon, The food was as you'd expect for a large buffet break fast and dinner but above average from some places we have stayed around the world. The staff were excellent with reception staff particularly helpful and a special shout out to.the morning receptionist who helped us sort out our airport transfer when no-one turned up to collect us. We will book this hotel again!

The staff is not friendly, they did not ask us how our trip was, felt sorry for our rebooking, did not explain anything about the hotel, keep speaking German & French to us even if we're talking English back, don't serve us when outside while sitting inside on their mobile with 5 people, they never say hi (even not during dinner), they did not help us with booking trips because they said they don't know anything and ask us if we cannot ask the French hotel guests for advice. There is really just no service at all...
The gym is paid even for hotel guests. We did not know so we walked in without saying it to the woman and men behind the counter. They shouted: what are you doing and we explained we want to have a short gym session. They again shouted: 5 euro's for gym and 5 euro's for spa entrance. So I just asked in a friendly manner if also hotel guests should pay? Again the only answer was: 5 euro's for gym and 5 euro's for spa entrance. Again the website is suggesting it is free but it isn't.
Our room is outdated. We got see sight but also sight on a rooftop. The sliding door to the balcony is falling out of it's frame and is not closing. Everyone can enter our room by the balcony. We even got a situation that the door would not open up and they send someone to fix it. It was fixed but the next time we opened it again it felt out.
The airconditioning is off during the day when it is most hot outside. So when you're spending some time in your room during daytime the temperature is around 26 degrees inside.. even at night our airconditioning is not working and they won’t fix it. Asked for the manager but was not around.
The food is horrible. Even breakfast.. We decided to go out eating the rest of the days we are here because it is that bad. We are lucky food is not that expensive in Montenegro. The meat is dry, potatoes are drenched in fat and during breakfast there is not even some fresh bread that you can cut yourself.
There is no private beach and you even need to pay to lie on the beds.
A lot in this hotel is written in the language of the country. We even translated the whole snackmenu ourselves because there is no English version.

From my room I had a really amazing view, after that disappointment after disappointment. Cold food served on first dinner, same “hot vegetables” served for breakfast the next day. Most of the food was recycled from dinner, breakfast, and lunch.
The dining room was a good place to watch other non English guests over load their plates as if there was going to be no chance of going back for more.
Did not have a good nights sleep for the whole 2 weeks stayed there, as could hear noise from the bar below the room and the lift going up and down all night.
All inclusive drinks where very limited to either sprite, cola, squash, and spirits. The coffee was very poor quality and un drinkable.
Room service was unpredictable, some days they went to the room in the morning, some days it was early afternoon.
Mosquitoes are everywhere in the hotel.
Uncomfortable seating in every area of the hotel.
Would not go to this hotel again ever

Took my mother in law for her first massage and they made the experience a lovely one. She had the full body massage (60min) which was quite affordable. I had the back and neck massage and must say my masseuse was great, adjusted the pressure to my preference. I’d highly recommend as there’s limited options in Petrovac. If you’re after a couples massage do note that it won’t be in the same exact room. It’s easy access to the beach and also has a beach view, pool side restaurant. You can book quite flexibly and they even offer walk-ins. Most importantly access to the spa facilities is included in the price, jacuzzi, Turkish hammam and sauna. The experiential shower didn’t really live up to it as water pressure was pretty low. Besides that, you can enjoy a range of teas and coffee if you ask nicely. My only suggestion is that the hotel provide more options of body oils, shower gels and perhaps disposable exfoliating gloves to enjoy the self-hammam experience. I had to purchase some products from the local cosmetics store which wasn’t that costly but would be great if it could be included or offered as an add-on.

This is my third stay and I had a lot of previous visits to this hotel in different time periods.
Once upon a time it was the best hotel in Petrovac and that was the reason I have chosen it again.
Well this season is different than all others and therefore cannot compare. All I can say a medal to the staff. Really did their best to keep up with the standards. Everybody is polite and helpful.
Everything is great apart from the parking (I know that the hotel was built in early eighties when there were not so many cars) and sun beds (I am on vacation I don’t want to wake up at six o’clock to get one at the beach ore eight the latest to get one at the pool).
Breakfast food was great but dinner could be better in my opinion. Missing the french fries or some other food (like e.g. pasticada).
One more thing I didn’t like was that the new Palas Lux was using the amenities of our hotel and perhaps that made the crowd even bigger.
All in all good hotel, would recommend it but not for the full price (I made the booking in April with the discount).
Once again praise for the stuff (sometimes I even missed the old Montenegrin “hospitality” like once the guy told me and my mother if we wanted water with dinner to take it from the swimming pool 😂,now they provide you with plenty of water)
All the best guys for the remaining of the season.
Hopefully will visit again

why can't zero be the rating for this hotel? the price is very high, and you don't even get the basics. neither shampoo nor bath, the air conditioning in the rooms is very weak. breakfast and dinner tasteless, coffee very very very bad, juice for breakfast is almost water, and for dinner you don't even get juice. parking €15 per day, umbrella and sunbed set €15.
