Very disappointed from the treatment here and the misleading and dis-information here. We’ve booked a room in the morning and the price dropped down by 40$ (!!) after only a few hours. Secondly - it said FITNESS ROOM in all the publicity but actually there isn’t any fitness room in this hotel. There’s a completely separate fitness center about 10 min walking distance and it actually extra charge !! I’ve never in my life was asked to pay extra charge for a fitness room - which is supposed to be included in the hotel. That’s is - if it is actually INSIDE the hotel. This is a complete fraud and misleading the clients d The answer I got was - we never said it’s free… this is ridicules answer and not respecting to the costumer. It’s like saying - oh yes we have a pool in the hotel. Or towels. But we never said it’s free. A fitness center is an obvious free service if it’s in the hotel. Or at least should be, it’s not like a spa treatment or food that you can normally asume they cost extra and not included. Anyway very disappointing - also because it was one of the reasons we chose this hotel over others, and there are many options. Thirdly - I was very offended and disappointed from the way the manger handled the situation. In stead of recognising the problematic of it or trying to offer some sort of compensation - he actually offered to give me my money back for the room so I will look for another place to stay. Is this a serious way to make an angry client happy??? More little details they don’t tell you - yes there is free parking, but only 4 spaces. So unless you catch them - you need to look for other parking. Yes there is a pool. With screaming kids and smoking non stop. Also the bed is very small for 2 people. Very small. And this is supposed to be the swite?! So finally I feel very cheated paying so much money for what is supposed to be a high class hotel, and getting such a bad treatment. The least they could have offered was a free breakfast or extra check out time. That’s so easy to make a customer happy.…
The hotel is looking very tired and neglected, it’s in desperate need of a refurbishment. The room and in particular the bathroom was poorly decorated, it looked like it had been done by amateurs with rough wood surfaces poorly painted. To be honest I could have done better and I’m no professional. In out room there was exposed telephone wiring, broken cable ducts, poor Wi-Fi and a lack of accessible power points to charge electronic devices. Hard to see how the hotel gets a 3* rating. On the plus side it is in an excellent location, provides car parking and has a cheerful and dedicated staff.
We stayed for two nights to celebrate our 51st wedding anniversary. We have stayed in many hotels, all around the world, but we have never had such excellent staff. Every single member was helpful and cheerful. They had good Covid measures in place and we felt very safe. The view from our balcony was one of the best in Portugal. We looked out over the river to the Atlantic and there was always some activity to watch. The position of the hotel is good for both the beach and the town. We had good Wi-Fi in our bedroom. The buffet meals were tasty and there was good selection. We recommend it without hesitation.
I had the opportunity to stay in this hotel and I highly recommend it. Let’s start with the low points: Receptionist Alexandra - Lacks coaching amd not very friendly. Furniture - outdated Bathroom - lacks shower gel and shampoo, they put like 2 units per day Wi-Fi - not good most of the time Let’s go for the high points: Location: on top of the beach and a 2 mins walk from center Breakfast and Dinner: what a fantastic place to enjoy both meals, a good variety if your stay is for 3-4 days. I recommend the Champagne Sangria. Staff from Breakfast and dinner: They are the best, from the lady that sit you to the guys that serve you, they are all absolutely wonderful and friendly, specially Bitó and another guy with a Spanish accent. Thank you
Booked at the Blue Bamboo hotel in Milfontes we discovered that everything is managed by the Mbeach hotel. Services are really poor or not exist. They want money for nothing. We asked for delivery beeing at the Blue Bamboo and they make it worst. All this is part of a big chain Duna Park Hotel which owns most place in Milfontes. And even when other restaurants were forced to close they were still able to operate. Not go there and choose an alternative accomodation.
The only thing that was good was the quantity and variety of the food. The restaurant is open to the public. It is not cheap to stay there comparing to Algarve and if you stay at a pool view room, theres no balcony so you cant hang your wet cloths after beach. Noisy at night. Staff at the private beach was rude. We wont go back.
We arrived on the Saturday as everything started to lock down with the Coronavirus the hotel staff where leaving but the skeleton staff worked so hard to keep everything going for the 3 days we were there. Can not speak highly enough of the commitment of the hotel to keep us safe. Thanks so much for what is a tough time for everyone in Portugal.
We had a larger room with balcony which had a lovely view of the water. The room was clean and had all we needed. However there was general feel that it needed some upgrading. For example the head board which was a large leather affair and which would have looked good in its day was worn right through the red colour to the material below. The air conditioning unit on the balcony was mounted on a heavily rusted frame. As I say th room was clean and tidy and the wear and tear issues I raise my not worry many people.
We ate here on the buffet for lunch at €10.97 each. We explained that it was our first time there but no information was given. We did not know you could have burgers, sausage, fish and seafood cooked to order down a corridor or that there was other food available namely oriental and sushi. The waiter came to order our drinks but neglected to tell use water, ice tea and coke etc we free on the buffet at the serve yourself pumps. We were not happy about this at all. Suggest a little more staff training is required. The lady who takes the payments who was English was very cheerful and helpful.
We spent a week there over New Years. They charged us about double of the price then they do in January (stupid enough we hadn ´t checked that). Great view, not doubt. Clean room. Convienient located. But the athmosphere is more like in a hostel than in a 4stars place. Rooms are not sound proofed very well. The facilities passed their time. An espresso machine is provided in the room, but pads only on the first day (instead of a bottle of water). After that they want you to buy them. All of this is not a big problem, if the room charge is fair. But it wasnˋt. Asking for a boat trip along the river we got the answer that the company is not operating at this time of the year. It turned out that the information was wrong. This is no good service, no matter if a room is cheap or expensive! We were very disappointed of this place!…
