Receptionist couldn’t be more helpful and pleasant. They even gave us an upgrade to a sea view room. The room was small, but clean, quiet and comfortable with a small covered balcony. Part of the Duna Parque Beach Group, the property also has a pool and restaurant. We weren’t thrilled with the food selection at the restaurant but there were plenty of options near the hotel. A short walk to the beach and some landmarks with free parking available. They could not accommodate us for an extra night but recommended one of their sister hotels nearby.

We had a larger room with balcony which had a lovely view of the water. The room was clean and had all we needed. However there was general feel that it needed some upgrading. For example the head board which was a large leather affair and which would have looked good in its day was worn right through the red colour to the material below. The air conditioning unit on the balcony was mounted on a heavily rusted frame. As I say th room was clean and tidy and the wear and tear issues I raise my not worry many people.

Nice hotel with a fun interior. Elevator in the middle and a ramp around it to take you upp to the next level, like in a parking garage. Nice decor, art everywhere and clean and quiet. Though if we hade chosen ourselves, a room facing the sea would be nice. This one was booked by our tour manager.
Nice restaurant with buffé, best variation I've ever seen. Affordable price with drinks included. Food cooked on demand and excellent breakfast too. Nice view from the restaurant.
Storage space for our bicycles in back room. Also nice staff.

We spent a week there over New Years. They charged us about double of the price then they do in January (stupid enough we hadn ´t checked that). Great view, not doubt. Clean room. Convienient located. But the athmosphere is more like in a hostel than in a 4stars place. Rooms are not sound proofed very well. The facilities passed their time. An espresso machine is provided in the room, but pads only on the first day (instead of a bottle of water). After that they want you to buy them. All of this is not a big problem, if the room charge is fair. But it wasnˋt.
Asking for a boat trip along the river we got the answer that the company is not operating at this time of the year. It turned out that the information was wrong. This is no good service, no matter if a room is cheap or expensive!
We were very disappointed of this place!

The only thing that was good was the quantity and variety of the food. The restaurant is open to the public. It is not cheap to stay there comparing to Algarve and if you stay at a pool view room, theres no balcony so you cant hang your wet cloths after beach. Noisy at night. Staff at the private beach was rude. We wont go back.

This was a great find - not only was it near the beach but also quiet and friendly. We had a gorgeous room with outside hot tub and patio chairs. The lounge was great and welcoming and we opted for (the BEST value) half board so ate dinner there - wonderful buffet everything from sushi to steak and upon arrival huge gin and tonic !!

The hotel is looking very tired and neglected, it’s in desperate need of a refurbishment.
The room and in particular the bathroom was poorly decorated, it looked like it had been done by amateurs with rough wood surfaces poorly painted. To be honest I could have done better and I’m no professional.
In out room there was exposed telephone wiring, broken cable ducts, poor Wi-Fi and a lack of accessible power points to charge electronic devices. Hard to see how the hotel gets a 3* rating.
On the plus side it is in an excellent location, provides car parking and has a cheerful and dedicated staff.

At any decent quality hotel we expect to have a good night's rest. Certainly in a 4-star (****) hotel. Unfortunately, this was not the case in this hotel. We have gotten a room at the very east side of the building (opposite side from the reception) and got 'entertained' by a loudly, noisy air-condition type of sound, all night long. It was even not from any neighbouring room, it definitely came from the far east side of the building.
Not to mention the overall quality of the room and the furniture, which couldn't pass the 3-star bar.

Old furnitures.
Small rooms.
Bathtub water exit clogged.
The 4 stars is only in terms of price.
The infrastructure is fare away from a 4 stars hotel.
It is a pity because the location of the hotel is very central, in front of the river.
We wouldn’t recommend it.

We arrived on the Saturday as everything started to lock down with the Coronavirus the hotel staff where leaving but the skeleton staff worked so hard to keep everything going for the 3 days we were there.

Can not speak highly enough of the commitment of the hotel to keep us safe. Thanks so much for what is a tough time for everyone in Portugal.
