Detailed Reviews
We stayed here for just one night. Lovely spot with even lovelier hosts. We were the only people staying, and were made very welcome by the husband and wife team. Lovely family operation, with very comfortable, clean and spacious rooms. The property is out of town and very relaxing. Breakfast was lovely. I can see how brilliant a spot it would be for a family or family groups to enjoy the grounds and the pool etc. The garden/ grounds themselves need a bit of care to neaten things up but the setting itself is lovely and a good distance to/away from town. I would recommend this stay to others.

If you look for a quiet place to stay in, this is the perfect spot. This great little gem with its accommodation cabins are great solution for families or those who want to look for a chill spot. Lillian's hospitality was superb, from the reception, all the info regarding the place, and the breakfast as well.
Highly recommended!

Must say we have mixed feelings about writing this review. On the one hand, we sincerely wish to congratulate the owners on their amazing job. On the other hand… we don’t want this hidden gem to be found by others. 😌
MCN is the definition of country luxury.
The property is both close and far enough from the center of Mil Fontes, if you know what I mean. You can go from a cheerful Happy Hour back to secluded silence in a 10-minute car ride.
The decoration has a globetrotter feel that makes you want to wander around the property in a narrative journey through that family’s life. Tender minimalism would be a way to put it as a concept.
No wish of yours is left unattended, be it a sunny side up fried egg at breakfast or a clean towel at 10pm. “Just scan this QR Code and WhatsApp me at any time”, says António with a smile.
And then there’s breakfast. Oh what a perfect start to a day in warm breezy coastal Alentejo. Under a white-washed ceiling, fans scattered doing their lazy dance at the sound of music that bashfully brightens the room, your eyes are first caught by the local cheeses and ham, sided by a fruit salad, carefully displayed by color tones. But then you find the homemade waffles, the freshly squeezed watermelon juice, the slices of local bread, the crispy bacon and its scrambled egg… and if you’re lucky, you’ll still be able to grab a slice of that cottage-cheese-lemon-cinammon cake which is simply a moist piece of heaven.
It’s only been three days since we left and we’re missing it already. We can only hope that Antonio’s family will have enough patience to put up with us tourists for many years more.
Thank you 🧡

This B&B was one of the most peaceful stays I have had on my travels. Something about the setting - located deeper in the hills, and the owners of the hotel - a lovely, quiet and welcoming Portuguese couple, made for immediate sense of calm. We only stayed one night, but had one of the most peaceful sleeps ever; it’s just too bad we didn’t have more time to stay longer. The town was only a short drive away, where we found some of the tastiest fish and seafood. If you’re travelling the coast, a stop in Vila Nova de Milfontes is highly recommended as it adds a nice calm and quiet break in between all the busy beach stops - and this place will definitely give you that sense of peace.

We stayed here for 5 nights and enjoyed every minute. From the moment we arrived Bia, who speaks as little English as I speak Portuguese, made us feel very welcome. She gave us a welcome drink and some home made cake and biscuits then proceeded to show us around the property and settle us in our room. Our room, no1, was spacious, spotlessly clean and very quiet as it is on the edge of the site. The gardens are very well kept as is the pool area. Vasco, who speaks good English, met us every breakfast time and was on hand to chat and answer questions about the area. The breakfast was very good - a superb range of cereals, hot food, home made cakes, home made egg dishes, fresh sliced fruit, yoghurts, sliced meats, breads and rolls - everything you could want and plenty of it. We had absolutely no complaints. It's not far out of Vila Nova De Milfontes but was in a lovely quiet spot. When we visit this part of the world again we will definitely stay here once more and recommend to all of our friends.

This family operated place will make you feel like you're at home. The owners are very friendly and have a good knowledge of the area, which can be quite helpful if you need some guidance. Rooms are new, comfortable and nicely decorated. Breakfast is rich and delicious.

Monte da Corça Nova is a lovely lodging just outside the seaside town of Vila Nova de Milfontes. It's located up a hill, in a wonderful setting with beautiful views.
There are two buildings, with a small variety of rooms and apartments. We stayed in the "King Room", which was a mini-apartment, with separate bedroom, bathroom, and sitting room with kitchenette.
The style is what I'd called "modern rustic". It's a new-build property, but done in a very Alentejo style. I think this is very fitting for the locale. Being thick whitewashed walls, the place remains cool in the heat of the day. The garden is beautiful, with some old olive trees.
Everything was spotlessly clean. The kitchenette was fully equipped. The bathroom had a good shower. The bed was huge and very comfortable.
Breakfast was included in our package. There was a good range of high quality (and local) items, especially when you consider it's a small place!
The hosts, Vasco and Bia, were really friendly. They were delighted at our attempts to speak Portuguese with them. They really did all they could to make our stay as nice as possible.
The only negative is that the place would be even nicer with a small swimming pool - to cool down in those hot Alentejo summers! They did mention that they were considering building one, if they can get the necessary building machinery up the hill. Still, you have the wonderful coast only minutes away in the car.
Thank you for your kind hospitality and a wonderful stay! We'd love to return.

Absolutely loved our stay here! Great location (5 min drive to the town and beaches), the rooms are very clean and nicely furnished. Everything is in perfect condition and the breakfast was the best we had in Portugal (homemade bread and cake, fresh fruits and orange juice!). The owners are so lovely and helpful.
