Our inn is a 17th-century building belonging to the Barons of Pernia, a region in which our hotel is located. Endowed with the best comforts and maintaining the essence of its architecture, they make our inn a luxury rural hotel. Located in the Natural Park of Fuentes Carrionas and Fuente del Cobre, it situates us in an environment totally surrounded by nature from where you can enjoy routes with or without a guide as there are a thousand possibilities. Palencia and more specifically the mountain of Palencia is possibly the area with the highest concentration of Romanesque art in Spain. Our rooms are cozy and kept to the smallest detail will make you feel at home. The gastronomy of the hotel is typical of Castile and Leon and more specifically of the mountain, that is to say, traditional cuisine and of mountain flavor so that our visitors can perceive the flavor of our lands. A wonderful garden to enjoy its views and enclave surrounded by nature.

This is a typical country inn up in the mountains of Palencia. It seems to be run by a family. You get a warm welcome and there is a lift up to the higher floor, which is welcome when you are an over-packer like me, speaking of which, hiking clothes are the order of the day here. Leave your tiara at home! Everything is spotless, plenty of COVID measures. Rooms are perfectly clean and nicely appointed. Bathroom spotless. Beds comfy. The restaurant serves massive plates of hearty mountain food. They are proud of their local food and you will come out of the restaurant stuffed. They are also dog friendly, although we didn't have a dog with us. One poor guest took his pooch out for a wee at 5 am and couldn't get back in so he had to sleep in his car! Quite a chilly area, although it's warm inside. It was roasting everywhere else in Spain and it was pretty cold there in Camasobres. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.

Had 2 nights not far from Potes. Welcoming, comfortable, excellent wine and homemade food. Excellent stay. Superb scenery. Begoña and husband David were so friendly and helpful, advising us on places to visit.

Didn't realise this place was a hotel as well as a restaurant!
We stopped here for a drink and lunch on the way to the Parador in Cervera. There is ample parking with a pond area in the garden at the back.
The eating area was very clean and tidy and seemed popular at lunch time. It is just off the road with mountain scenery in the background.
We had some tortilla which was very nice. Service was good.

Thanks to all the team at the Posada for making our stay so special (specially Eddie- by the way, amazing musician too! (Check Eddie nomada)). Lovely building, comfortable rooms (the suite is perfect for a family of 4) and the best atmosphere. Tones of activities to do and places to visit within half an hour from the hotel. If you stay in a group, most definitely ask them to organize a barbecue for you! Breakfast seemed a bit dull until we asked for tomatoes, olive oil, fruit, yogurt.... then it became just perfect

Very nice hotel and restaurant in a little farmers village. Surrounded by nature and mountains with the possibility of walking short and long routes. The room is very nice with a good bed. Waking up with the sound of birds and cow bells. We had a nice dinner with asparagus and a steak from this area, very tasty! They have a simple breakfast with little choice, but very good. The staff is nice and helpful. The signal of your phone is low and the wifi also is not available in the room, but you don't need it here.

For me Hotel Posada Fuentes in Camasobres is an absolute no-go. The two rooms I have been sleeping in are absolutely fabulous: no complaints at all. The crowd in the garden were very noisy, but come on: this is Spain and I can enjoy the relaxed attitude of Spanish people. What really upsets me were two aspects. The very crude treatment in the dining room when I wanted to sit at an empty table and missing any written menu for clients. I was expecting to eat a menu del dia, but when leaving I had to pay for two dinners much, much more than I expected (my idea: overpriced). At checkout of the hotel, I asked for the bill, but I did not get it, I was simply expected to pay the given amount: "We will send you the bill by email". Well, I gave my two email addresses, but I have never seen or received the bill for my stay at Hotel Posada Fuentes. In short: I have never seen and I do not know what I paid for at dinner. I have read that other guests had a different impression of the hospitality of Hotel Posada Fuentes, but these are mine. This might be due to the understaffed service during my stay (this holds for the hotel desk as well). Other, minor issues: the WiFi is poor (no WiFi in the room (am I too hard to please ?), the WiFi is interrupted too often) and I found the breakfast far below standards for this kind of hotel. I feel sorry to write this.

Estimado cliente, Sentimos mucho la impresión que se ha llevado de nuestro hotel. Las facturas de Hotel y de, en su caso, las dos cenas estan siempre a disposición de los clientes en el check-out. Ya le han sido enviadas por correo electrónico. En las cenas no disponemos de menú, si en las comidas. La carne, que usted cenó uno de los días, tiene minimo 45 días de maduración, tenemos otros tipos de carne siempre a disposición de nuestros clientes. En cuanto a la WIFI lo maravilloso de estar entre montañas y en un Palacio del siglo XVII es que en ocasiones no es como en una ciudad, sentimos mucho que esto le haya ocasionado problemas.
