Visited as part of a day excursion from Lassi, arriving the best way - by boat. Didn't have long to explore after a tasty included lunch on the waterfront but it's very small. Had the vibe of a miniature ST Tropez, eager to boast about its celebrity clientele whilst being the prime attraction on Kefalonia for ordinary tourists like me. The promenade is a tight squeeze between restaurants and souvenir shops but veering 'off piste' is rewarded by some superb views of the harbour and mountains of Ithaki across the water. If travelling by coach, be aware that you need to tackle a steep hill between the harbour and car park

A sleepy fishing village when we visited at the end of the season but, judging by the number of restaurants, no doubt extremely busy in summer. The only village on the island to escape the earthquake, it does have some older buildings and the area around the port is delightful. Definitely worth making the scenic trip up the coast to get here. We would like to return for a longer stay one day. (if there is a Hotel Paradise we didn't see it!)

Visited this beautiful little village by the sea in Kefalonia in September. Situated at the northern area of the island it is a trip by road either over mountain roads or along the East or West coasts. Whatever route you take its breathtakingly beautiful.Fiskardo has many lovely waterside restaurants with super menus and food. Lit up at night it is just as pretty. There are many yachts alongside the restaurants but none spoil the views of dining at the waters edge. There are shops just behind the restaurant area down a quaint little path. This is a stunning little village that should be on every visiters list of places to visit.

Fiskardo is a great place to stop and people watch. There are some great boutiques and good restaurants on the front. If its boats you are into then there are always the most exquisite yaughts moored just in front. Well worth a visit.

As a land based visitor full marks. But as a visiting sailor it is pretty poor. Sailors must make up the mainstay of visitors throughout the year but; anchoring is difficult and crossed anchor lines aren't just a risk it's pretty definite, at least. The edges at the harbour are riddled with boulders so rudders are hitting.. Wouldn't it bee nice if a series of lazy lines ere installed and the edges cleared. As it is there are much nicer, easier places for the sailor to visit. Kioni, big Vathi, Sivota and many more

The drive to fiskardo was beautiful, lovely views of the sea and mountains. Parking was easy and free. After walking down some stairs we came to the shopping area. Walking through we came to the marina where bright yachts and boats were lined up. Sat down at a restaurant right on the marina. Sipped a cold drink and admired the two to three different species of fish that we could see in the water. The water was so clean.

Second time in Keffolonia. First stayed at Avithos Resort in Savoronta. Cancelled holiday in Sicily for this year and flew with Ryanair to Keffolonia. Hired car from Avis, no problem. Small Panda and drove to North of Island, Fiskardo. The drive is not for the faint hearted since the main road was blocked by earthquake 2 years ago and still undergoing repair. Diversion through mountains, let your passengers admire the view but you keep your eyes on the road. Twisting and turning you eventually get there. Forget Sat Nav, that would drive you made. Arriving in Fiskardo continue past road leading to port and drive until you come to a square full of cars. At the bottom and well signed are Anthis Apartments. We had ground floor room, restricted view but no matter. Was clean and comfortable. No mossies or biters but keep doors closed. The comments about cups are daft. Just refill them for seconds. Pleanty of cutlery and bedding. Owners very helpful, plunge pool is just that. A little difficulty getting in and out for old git like me due to strange steps down. Comfortable loungers on terrace. If you want to go to small bay in front of Apartments ask for loungers to take down there and bring back They will supply them for free, Little library in Reception. Be careful of biters under small trees in bay opposite apartment. A large hornet type got me before I got him. Antihistimine cream is useful to take. They only seem to strike as you come out of water and are under the trees. Fiskardo is a magical place with harbour full of yachts and yachties in clean water with no deisel smell like some harbours. You sit by the quayside in a restaurant or bar looking at the yachties and they look back at you sitting on their decks. Nothing prententious about them. Most of them are Brits and the yachts are hired. No discos, no heavily tattoed yobos. The bakery nearest the apartments is to be recommended. Try the pies, hot and fresh. Sun sets last near bars near apartments. Food is typical Greek seaside, OK but not fine dining. Meats are pre cooked as is chicken. Fish is good and fresh as are prawns. Beer is cheap. You MUST go the Lord Falcon Thai Restaurant a little set back from the quayside. Here is served the best Thai food ever tasted, better than UK restaurants at half the price. Generous portions, we ate there on three out of 6 dinners. Fantastic value. There is a small cafe under Apartments, great icecream and drinks. It is a great p[lace for a couple to stay.
