Went with my family in ending Oct 2022. Got a great deal, and I was so excited. Then I read the reviews. Most of them were dreadful. So I went in expecting the worst. But I was pleasantly surprised. I reached in the evening and it was dark. We we quickly checked in by the pleasant gentleman at reception and shown our room which was good size and clean with comfortable beds and a balcony. Could not appreciate the location and the excellent sea views. But when we woke up in the morning, the views and the location was brilliant. I had hired a car from Ionion car rental which was excellent. Highly recommended. The rooms are arranged on different floors with reception on the top floor with lots of stairs and lifts. Our room was on 5th floor. The hotel is in an isolated location which we knew beforehand. There is an outdoor I finity pool which was too cold to be used although there were some people sitting in the sun but nobody dared to go in. There is a small indoor pool which is also not heated but we used it everyday. There is a small gym by its side which we used as well. We went on a half board basis. The restaurant is good in size and location but the food choice is quite limited especially for vegetarians and food runs out pretty quickly most days. You have to ask the waiters to refill it. There were selection of salads, 2 meat dishes and one veg dish which were mostly the same every night. Breakfast was OK with eggs, cold meats, and cheese n pancakes n breads n cereals n nuts. We used it as a base and saw some lovely beaches. Lefkda is so so beautiful. But overall, I would say, we had a great time and would happily return to this place. …

I was super excited to stay in this hotel. I travel a lot. I am very open minded outdoor person. I camp out regularly. But when I’m checked into a “luxury hotel” I’m not in the mindset for filth. Rather then write a long detailed story I will sum it up with….. it’s straight up filthy. The glass elevator Is so filthy you cannot see the sun through it. There’s a few turtles kept prisoner in the lobby. Their home was a tiny disgusting aquarium the size for goldfish. It was so rancid that you couldn’t even see them….It made me sick. The hotel room was gross and the beds were a dirty box spring with a 3 inch foam on top. I wore flip flops always because it was just a bad situation. I never complained because I knew there wasn’t a way to upgrade me out of the situation. Basically, it’s a motel 6 with an insane view and a dated “used to be amazing pool” The front desk service was the only bad service I experienced in my 3 weeks in Greece. The main guy at the front desk had a serious personality disorder. He couldn’t get the computer to pull up my reservation and when I asked what was going on he just started screaming. I have no idea. It was like an insane asylum. The pool has a beautiful view. The servers in the banquet area were kind and hard working. That’s the upside. …

Dear Alisiar, I think your review is exaggerating.First of all you wrote your review on 6th December but you do not say which dates you visited our hotel. If it is before Christmas the hotel doesn't work -apart from a specific level-and it is natural the elavator to be a liitle dirty. Also , the turtles that you keep saying they are dirty you have to know that they are dirty by nature and that we have them the last 10 years in our hotel and they have been fine.We clean them every three days and we are happy we look after them as the hotel is pet friendly!!!! Ionian Blue is my favorite place to stay on Lefkada. The view is breathtaking. Bar and restaurants are great. You can choose to swim and sun at the lovely infinity pool or crystal clear sea. Spa is wonderful, so I usually do one or two spa days with them.

Pool is dirty, lifts were not working, service from the first instance was non existent. We had to carry our own luggage. This is not a 5 star hotel 2.5 maybe As I am feeling generous today. Manager was a coward, sends other poor people to do his apologies.. After accepting his inadequacy he send a basket of fruit and a bottle of cheap wine… Please Mr D.Founda, go back to school and learn about hotel management.

Absolutely appalling.!!!! Lift doesn’t work so you have to climb 1,000 steps to get out and back down. Not good for elderly or those with kids. Staff are useless and condescending… Food is mass produced so you’d do better going out for breakfast. Don’t, what ever you do, have dinner there. Food is like what they serve in a shelter for the homeless. View was good so it gets 1 star from me.

We think that your review is the least we can say beyond reality.This can be proved by the thousands of people that stay in our hotel every year.Maybe the lift did not work -as it can happen everywhere -bur we have got three other lifts that can be used for access to the rooms.Our food is fresh and in a big variety and we do not think that the weddings and the conferences that take place every year as well as the clients that have breakfast and dinner and keep the hotel fully booked from April till October are HOMELESS!! Don’t go if you want to be able to sleep. Wedding party until 4am with super loud music. No way to get to sleep, even with earplugs. At 1am, the concierge told us to relax - they would usually turn down the music latest at 4am - why not just sit it out? The place itself has seen better times. The food is cantina quality. The ocean access is spectacular, and the location very beautiful.

We think that your review is exaggerating.Yes, there was a wedding at the hotel -for which you had been infiormed,as all our guests -and the music was turned down after midnight .We would like to remind you that the hotel was fully booked at that time and none of the other 300 guests complained about the same issue. We arrived at 1pm and our room was not ready. Check-in was at 2-3pm, they told us to wait at the bar and they would let us know when ready. Nobody came, we had to ask the reception again. We asked for a staff member to help us go to our room but it took ages and nobody came, so we decided to go by our own. Room was ok, but with no sea view and double bed as we booked. Lifts need maintenance and the common areas need refurbish. Breakfast is good, but the food in hotel bars/restaurants is not of high quality. Knives and forks didn’t seem very clean. It seems that hotel was in general understaffed. The corridors/inside verandas were dark and dirty. Watch out the wasps all over the island especially when eating outside.

To begin withb, the check in is after 14:00 pm and not between 14:00 to 15:00 as the rooms need 3 to four hours to be cleaned and sanitized because if you remember we live in a COVID season.The hotel is in the nature ,surrounded by the Ionian sea - which makes it special-so it is natural to have wasps .Though , we have found ways to prevent them from bothering our clients.Generally, we think your comments are exaggerating. Stayed with my husband and teenage son. Staff friendly and helpful. Room and facilities are a little tired and in need of refurbishment. Arrived late. No complimentary bottled water in room and air conditioning doesn’t work as it should, 28.5 degrees at 4am. Buffet is a bit boring, the same food for the entire week we were there. Pool bar/beach bar food service closes at 6pm, and the bar is expensive. But the cleaning staff do a stellar job and the beach area, although stoney, is beautiful. Don’t rely on taxis, as it is impossible to get one when you need one. Especially weekends when everyone is apparently going to the airport Limited with parking spaces.

Thank you for your review .The pool and beach bar close at 18:00pm because at 19:00pm opens the ala carte as well as the buffet restaurant for the dinners.All the area of Nikiana , where the hotel is ,has stoney beaches and sea.The closest sandy one to the hotel is 500 metres. Very nice location, sloping towards the sea, great view. Nice sun decks by the sea, decent service there, Nice big infinity pool.Hotel restaurant not worth the visit.Pool bar is ok. Cleaning so,so. Hard to make yourself understood in English if you need to explain.

The hotel has a great potential but it needs a serious renovation. Although it is situated at a great spot, all the furniture and rooms need to replaced. Also it does not feel like a clean place: destroyed towels, dirty sun-beds , etc. therefore the price does not reflect the service that you will finally receive.
