Many things to say, all good.
Our flight down was delayed, they held off insisting on the check-in process so we could still eat dinner if we chose to.
The resort is small and was very quiet. Just what we wanted. The food is better than in other Cuban destinations. Pasta and grill options were delicious. The staff are all exceptional. Rozmir, the concierge was so helpful and kind. Albeierto and the charming lady doing the entertainment did a fantastic job at balancing the wants of whoever was around the pool area. The bar tenders and butler staff were honestly fantastic as well… lots of laughs.
Oscar was great company and explained things to us about the island that we did not know. Even the maintenance Silvio was chatty and helpful.
There was no hairdryer in the room when we arrived but within 1 hour of asking, one was installed. Also asked the desk for access to more tv channels and as above, the request was taken care of in about an hour (however, there was no ability to watch English news-stations).
Be careful if you go to playa Serena, we thought we were getting in a hotel transportation van but it turned out to be a taxi (almost indistinguishable by looking) and he would only accept credit card. Luckily we did not leave it locked in the room or we would have had an angry driver after his money (we heard from a couple of other tourists that they had that happen to them.
The room is modest, but very clean.
There were some biting bugs, but we had bug spray if we wanted to use it.
All in all we will probably return.
I will add some photos of the room and bathroom in case, like me, you have been looking.

I stayed at Villa Lindamar from Nov. 25 to Dec. 2. Arrived in the evening on a Sunwing flight from Toronto. Quick (10 min) transfer to hotel on a Transtur taxi as there were only about 10 of us (about 20 guests during my entire stay (Canadians from Toronto and Montreal).
There is only one restaurant which serves breakfast and dinner. Lunch is every day at Ranchon with a spectacular beach view. Food at the restaurant is ok, my only complaint is there was not enough fresh fruit. Cold salads and choice of fish, chicken or beef at the Ranchon. There were also 2 a la carte dinners during my stay and a guest appreciation dinner by the pool. All were delicious. Very good wine, cappuccinos and Spanish Coffee. As I'm writing this, I already miss my morning cappuccino by the pool.
Little train (very bumpy ride!) which stops at Lindamar, Starfish and Memories takes guests every day to Playa Sirena and Paraiso. Lunch is included, but only at Sirena. Alcohol drinks are extra. The train returns in the afternoon. The beach in front of hotel is non existent. There is a small stretch in front of Ranchon, but no umbrellas. You have to ask the concierge and the person working at the beach can set up a portable umbrella for you for the day.
Entertainment is great, starts every evening about 8:30-9 pm. Cuban shows, Karaoke, quizzes, etc. During the day, the entertainers have stretching exercises, dance lessons, etc. Definitely available if you want to get involved, but not pushy like at other resorts I've been to. Afterwards, people sit by the pool and talk, drink, play cards. On Wednesdays, there is White Party at the Marina (guests from all hotels), it starts at 11 pm (drinks and food not included). Bus takes you there.
The cabins are comfortable, but the pillows aren't. Also, there was no hair dryer when I arrived, but this was remedied quickly. Everyone I met was super friendly, helpful and if any issues, your concierge is quick to address and fix.
I had a great time and look forward to returning soon to this resort!

This was my 4th time to Cayo Largo but first time to this resort. All I have to say is wow. My buddy and I had such a great week of relaxation and fun.
Although I will admit there are a few things that could be maintained better, the amazing staff will always do what they can to make your stay as good as it can be.
Veteran Cuba travellers are aware of the shortages that can occur but during our stay they were minimal. Rooms are clean with great views. I was in 7044 and by buddy was in 7045. Both rooms had great views of the ocean. It would however be nice if there were screens on the windows to be able to enjoy the sounds of the surf during the night and during a daytime nap.
Pool area is fantastic and the entertainment staff are always there to sit and chat with you or get you involved with several of the activities that they offer.
Bar staff do their best to make sure you are well hydrated and they will hold a conversation with you with no issues. If I could make one suggestion would be to make sure they are supplied with proper cleaning supplies to clean glassware.
Cooking and serving staff do a wonderful job of providing you meals. No you won’t get what North Americans would consider a gourmet meal but you will never go hungry. Saying that, however, they’re are days that once supplies come in the meals are spectacular! Same goes for the staff at the Oceanside snack bar. Lunch - burgers or pizza is available and is delicious .
Front desk staff and the butlers are amazing and will make sure you get information you need and or make sure you are well taken care of.
All in all this resort is a quiet one with the ability to create a bit of a bit of a party atmosphere .
I totally recommend this resort for couples or solo travellers.

We had a beautiful week in Cayo Largo at Villa Lindamar. The Beach is absolutely pristine and for late January, almost always felt like we had the beach to ourselves. A quaint and cozy small resort where each "room" is it's own bungalow with easy access to beach, main resort pool/bar/dining area, and a great beach restaurant at the edge of the resort where lunch and afternoon sun are glorious. Easy access to all the other resorts of Cayo Largo, as well. We loved all the staff especially Yash, the Butler who did an incredible job in making sure we were taken care of, the entertainment staff Oscar and Ivette, Julima who celebrated a birthday with us. It's truly a little gem that I want to keep secret because of it's small/quaint and relaxing vibe. We had a great time and would highly recommend and we will definitely go back again!

Heavenly place! The weather was good. Warm welcome. The team was very professional. The rooms are made up every day, it's clean. There are plenty of choices for food. I only have good things to say. It was my first stay in this city. A special note to the supervisor who has always been attentive to my WiFi connection problems given my incompetence in this area.
I'm thinking of coming back next year, because I really have good memories of it. Salah
A proposal to management: Install fans in the dining rooms and lobby to chase away flies from the refectory :)
I recommend this place for the period

Hello, We had a great week at Linda Mar from July 28 to August 4, 2023, vila 7035. It's the first time but surely not the last after our experience. The service is impeccable, the staff very attentive, kind and helpful. Rosmil and his team are fantastic, we were like family. The hotel manager is always present and attentive to all details. The food is good and quite diverse. The beach is rocky, but we went to Sirenas beach by microbus which leaves in the morning at 10am. There are activities,,, even there disco Sunday evening, Tuesday evening and Thursday evening, and there is a bus which takes you at 10 o'clock in the evening, thanks to Russo he is the entertainer who takes care of YOU. Room side: very clean, there is air conditioning, Wi-Fi (free), television, the cleaning lady comes every day, she cleans the bed, changes the towels and she leaves a large bottle of 'water. Beach towels are in the room. In the end I would like to thank the entire Linda Mar team for their effort, friendliness, helpfulness and for their kindness 💝🫶 👌See you next time 💖

Wow...I swore I would never go back to Cuba but was convinced by my sister to go one last time. And wow...what a nice hidden gem! From the arrival where we had a wonderful welcome to the staff who were treating us like family. Everything was absolutely perfect. Rosmil (the butler) takes care of each and everyone from the arrival to the departure. He was totally wonderful and even found someone to repair our little coffee maker. So professional and helpful. We have never seen a service like this. The staff - Oscar, Randi, Joel, Milly, the nice waitress (which I forgot her name but is always smiling) were so, so amazing. The food was good and they really try to vary but they do with was they have. Only negative thing concerning the food is that it was not often hot. In a nutshell, this place feels like you are visiting a great group of friends. The Sirena Beach is a must. SO beautiful. The beach in front of the hotel is not really nice as there are huge rocks, but you can walk for a long time along it. The weather was beautiful. Our little cottage (hut) was confortable and we were close to everything. Other clients were so relaxed because of the way the staff was treating each and everyone that after a few days from the arrival, almost everybody was talking to each other. Honestly, I have been travelling south for years and have never experienced such a great group of employees!!! Bravo to you all! It is not news that Cubans don't have much so if you go there, bring a few teddy bears, tools, kitchen knives, etc. They appreciate these gifts immensely. Have fun!! :)

We just got back from a trip to Villa Lindamar, Cayo Largo, Cuba (January 2023). This was a first time to Cayo Largo, but will not be our last. This is a great island with some very unique and interesting resorts. Lindamar is a small resort, 53 separate cabins. One pool, on buffet restaurant, one bar and one beach restaurant that doubles as an a la carte in the evenings. Food was quite good. I had read of some horror stories about limited food in some Cuban hotels, not an issue at Lindamar. Beef, chicken, pork and fish were available pretty much every day. Staff were excellent, some of the best I have encountered anywhere. Courtious and professional at all time. The cabins were quite cute, though some showed the effects of age and something to storm damage. All were recently painted and clean. Beds were comfortable, pillows OK. Staff that took care of the rooms were great, efficient and very pleasant to chat with.
I think the majority of the hotels in Cayo Largo are managed by the same company, as there seemed to be no issue in going from one resort to another (and having drinks etc. The beach in front of the hotels is not the best as it can be quite narrow. Beach lovers do not despair, you can take a free shuttle to Serena Beach, about a 10 minute ride away.
In summary, Lindamar is a great, small resort, and as such, is somewhat limited in services. It does have a great location, great staff and is incredibly relaxed, safe place to visit. Yes, we will go back!

My partner and I travelled to Cayo Largo and decided on Villa Lindamar. Thank goodness we did! I have previously travelled to Cayo Largo, but this was my first experience staying at Lindamar. From arriving at the airport, it was great because our hotel was such a short distance away. When we arrived at the resort, we were welcomed immediately from the concierge Ronaldo. This was unlike any other hotel I have stayed in. At the front desk, Julio was so kind, extremely personable and down to earth! When we walked to the first bar, we were greeted by the bartender Randy. He was a great time, made the best drinks, and made sure we had fun! We ended up spending the majority of the night at the bar/pool area because we were surrounded by such amazing staff. We honestly became friends with them after only a few hours of arriving. The security was present and very professional, Ronaldo was very kind and made us feel comfortable.
Later on that evening, they had entertainment. Russo and Oscar did an incredible job with the music and all sorts of entertainment. (Remember this is only the first night).
When we decided to go to bed, we were guided by concierge Ronaldo, who brought us to our room and was extremely courteous. Our cabin was absolutely beautiful. We were surrounded by well maintained plants/flowers/walk ways. Our bed was comfortable, the bathroom was recently updated, and our view from the front window was of the beach.
The next day, concierge Ronaldo yet again made me feel extremely comfortable. He told me about all the places I should visit, the restaurants on the resort, and really just showed me how to have the best time on my trip.
Very long story short, the beach was beautiful, the sun was shining, the food was very good. What I take away most from this trip is the incredibly genuine people that I met there. Julio, Randy, Ronaldo, Russo, Oscar, and concierge Ronaldo.. along with many other wonderful staff. But they showed us a great time, took us out of our comfort zone, and most importantly cared about us and genuinely wanted us to have an amazing time.
I will always be grateful for concierge Ronaldo, as he was there for me the whole time. I know how staff can make or break your stay- and let me tell you that I have made a life long friendships. We have already planned to return to this beautiful resort and cannot wait.

We were quite happy with our week at Linda Mar. The accomodations were great - furniture was new, everything worked! lots of hot water at any time of the day. Food also surpassed our expectations (for Cuba). Some hit and misses but in general, food was good. Problems getting beer and wine at times. We understand that the ferry between Cayo Largo and main land broke down...and that provisionning was tricky.
Staff was very friendly and attentive; manager always on the premises. He was able to solve our room keys issue in very short time. Beach was rocky due to erosion and previous hurricanes. Pool isquite small and water is very smelly of chlore. Swimming in the ocean was for good swimmers as waves broke on the beach at all times of the day. Snorkeling in front of Linda Mar was not good:corals are dead. No shade umbrellas on the beach: there are loungers, however. As for the free shuttle to the beaches:also a hit and miss story. Unreliable service. If you pay for a taxi ($2.00 US p.p. for one way trip), that service was reliable. We liked that it was a quiet resort, with not too loud music.

Update on the shuttle from Linda Mar to beaches Paraiso and Sirena. It is a hit and miss thing: we got a shuttle to the beaches but nobody showed up to pick us (6 people from Linda Mar) up at the arranged time. Instead, we were lucky to get 2 seats on the little train (which had broken down a day earlier). The rest of Linda Mar guests had to pay for a taxi. As well for the rest of the week, the free shuttle was unreliable. The taxis (2 US per person per trip) were reliable. We were there from Jan.13 to Jan.20, 2024.
Yes all but one which is Sanctuary hotel.but Lindamar food is hard to béat .go ahead and let me know.happy vacay!!
