Northcourt House (Manor), a large Jacobean Manor House, was a fantastic place to hold a 60th birthday celebration! We had circa 40 guests staying overnight and their comments on the House and location were “stunning, fabulous, well appointed, wonderful gardens and surroundings etc”. The House has fabulous bedrooms, most with en-suites, plus large amounts of communal space in the form of well appointed and equipped kitchens, dining areas and a large entertainment hall (ballroom). The House was very clean, is tastefully furnished (in a comfortable, large country house style) and all the bathroom/kitchen facilities work very well. James, whose family own the property, was very helpful and on- hand if necessary; we would thoroughly recommend it as a great place to stay, celebrate something significant. Can’t really think of any negatives!

Recently stayed in Northcourt House and Little Northcourt combined with a group of 28 people and we all had a wonderful time. All the rooms are beautifully furnished and decorated and most have stunning views of the grounds and surroundings. There was plenty of space for our whole group to gather for meals and socializing, as well as areas for smaller groups to sit and chat.

Northcourt is run by a family who take great pride in their houses and grounds. They made us feel most welcome and we were able to relax in comfortable, clean and homely surroundings.

Everything is exactly as described on the website and detailed in the visitors advance information.

This was our second year and we have already booked for next year.

Highly recommended

We had a large family gathering of 27 at Northcourt House and Little Northcourt. These two properties can be rented separately or together (which is enabled because there are lockable internal double doors between the two properties).

Northcourt Manor is a truly wonderful location. We have been holding annual family gatherings for over twenty years and this is the best property at which we have stayed. The buildings are beautiful. The rooms are large, well-maintained, and comfortable. The facilities (kitchens, games, two pianos etc.) are terrific. The equipment is comprehensive. Outside the grounds are extensive and the gardens are more beautiful than the botanical gardens in nearby Ventnor (which have a hefty entrance fee).

The property is in a beautiful part of the Isle of Wight with easy access to an excellent beach. There is a welcoming pub and a terrific farm shop within walking distance. Finally, the Harrison family were relaxed, charming, and ever helpful hosts.

We hope to stay here again.

The Isle of Wight is a wonderful place to visit and Northcourt House is without doubt the ideal place to stay if you want self catering or bed and breakfast. We have just completed our fifth visit. The house can self cater for around 36 people or two wings can be rented separately for 20 and 16 people respectively. Yet another part of the house can provide bed and breakfast.
The house itself is a gorgeous Jacobean mansion with fabulous gardens wonderfully maintained by the Harrison family. The facilities within the house are the best we have experienced. Kitchens, sitting rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms are all outstanding and very well equipped.
The family live on site so can easily deal with any questions or issues.
We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Northcourt Manor is a delightful place to stay. There is ample kitchen space for those who like to cook and a choice of dining tables. The lounge is a lovely room for relaxing and having fun without being too formal. The bedrooms are all really good and almost all en-suite, and the bedding of good quality with comfortable mattresses. There is lots of parking space, with car charging in place, and the grounds are delightful in a rustic kind of setting, with seating areas for sunny days. We loved our stay here.

What a wonderful place to stay - all 19 of us (aged 1 to 68) had a fantastic time. We cannot fault the accommodation and the facilities provided. The hall made a wonderful location for our extra-large Scalextric track and the outside space was just what the dog needed. In addition, the Isle of Wight is a great place to visit for a family.

Little Northcourt was a wonderful house for a big family holiday, so spacious, well equipped and with beautiful outdoor space for everyone in our family group of 8 adults and 9 children. The location was perfect for many of our favourite Island beaches, walks and attractions. Our hosts were friendly and quick to resolve any issues or answer questions and shared their beautiful gardens with us. We all loved it!

We stayed at Northcourt for the first time this year and were really impressed with the place. We were a group of families that have been away together many times over the years and this is the nicest place that we've stayed in. The gardens are beautiful, the house is wonderfully comfortable and characterful and its in a quiet part of the Island which suited us. The local pub and farm shop were great, and its easy to go out walking from here. The house is really well equipped for a big group, and we had a lot of fun playing table tennis in the big banqueting room.

I cant remember where I heard it said, that you dont own a house, but look after if for future generations. This is true of Northcourt. It was such a privlidge to stay in this lovely house which has all the quirks you associate with an old house, but with modern comforts. The owners have done a lot of research and renovations, but this does not distract from the character of the house. The room we stayed in was warm, the bed comfortable the shower hot (eventually). Cant fault it at all. Breakfast was perfect, with a cooked breakfast, orange juice, cereals and soda bread. Some people might find the lack of choice not what they are used to, but for us it more than we usually eat. If you want all the facilities of a hotel, then this is not for you, it is someones home and you are a guest in it. However if you have, like us, driven past these gorgeous houses and wondered what it looks like inside, this is your chance. We will definitely be back, to explore it even further.

A beautiful house and surrounding gardens. The house was absolutely spotless and well equipped with everything one would require for a short, or longer stay.

The hosts were available if anything was required - including In our case a late night sellotape delivery to wrap our sons birthday gifts for the following day!

A lovely welcome basket full of locally sourced produce and fresh cut flowers. We would happily return and recommend to others wanting a relaxed and comfortable stay on the beautiful island.

Thank you James and family.

I am not sure - the owners have a dog so I would imagine they may be ok with them . But I would ask them directly .

Do they do this as a wedding venue?

Not as far as I am aware, although phoning them to ask would confirm. Not certain that they and the venue could cope with the numbers. It is more a place to 'get away from it all'.
