We stayed at this wonderful Resort for 11 nights and from the first moment we arrived at Male 'airport until our departure the experience was excellent. The main feature of the resort is privacy and exclusivity. A special mention for the cuisine of the highest level. The island is a jewel of the Indian Ocean. A special thanks to the service in the villa and the restaurant, to the excursions and to all the staff, masterfully led by the General Manager Vincent Durier.
Everything we were looking for and more... Location: The hotel is 35-40min boat ride from Male. Something to note is that one side of the island (closer to the main resort swimming pool) is facing the transfer boat path. The other side of the island (villas 1001-1005) are facing the quiet ocean side and therefore felt more private. The pick up and transfer: We were greeted by the hotel staff at the airport exit gate. The lady has guided as to the waiting area. It took about 10min for the captain to pick us up and walk us to the boat. The speedboat was clean and comfortable and we were offered cold face towels and some cold water bottles (glass & NOT plastic). Arrival: As we arrived to the island, we were met by the hotel staff (including our most amazing Butler Nazeem) and offered fresh coconut water. From the moment we got off the boat we were in the holiday mode and knew that we will be well taken care of. Villa: During the course of our holiday we stayed at two villas: 1001 (1 - bedroom overwater pool villa) and 831 (2 bedroom overwater pool villa). Villa 1001 - we absolutely loved this villa! It was facing the quiet ocean part with very few passing boats in the far horizon. It had the most beautiful shallow lagoon with occasional sightings of manta rays or baby sharks. The villa had open plan living room + bedroom. However, you have the option to curtain off the bedroom from the living room for more privacy in case more than two guests were staying together. The villa has big windows and we loved leaving the curtains open during the night so we could enjoy the sunrise and the morning View of the ocean. Villa 831 If you are looking to add a luxury feel to your holiday villa 831 is the one to book. The villa is very spacious, with huge bedrooms and a masive living space. It also has a large private swimming pool and spacious outdoor lounge area. Butler Nazeem Nazeem is a super star! Cannot recommend him enough. He is very pleasant and kind. He was able to anticipate our needs in advance and come up with amazing suggestions to improve our experience during the stay at Como coco. I worked in a service industry for many years myself and I can surely say that Nazeem is the man to keep in your team! Restaurant: Before our stay at Como Coco we read many great reviews about the resort's restaurant. And oh my goodness they were all right. The food is to die for. Every day we tried something new and never felt disappointed with our choice. My favourite breakfast choices were waffle and dosa. My lunch favourites were soups, salads and Indian Dhal. Dinner favorites: jumbo prawns, reef fish and murgh makhani. Beach Super clean, enough space for everyone sunbathing or snorkeling. The island has a long sandbank where we loved taking long early morning walks. Spa: Last but not least important part of our holiday - spa experience. We had 2 x 90min signature massages and 1 x 90min facial. Wow! We had many massages in our life time and I can say with a lot of confidence that we had the best massage experience at como coco!!!!! It was soo good! Worth every penny! I should have booked one more before leaving the island... 😭…
we had a fantastic stay at Como Cocoa and can only highly recommend it to all who would like to spend a dream holiday in a true maldivian resort on a very high standard. Foood, Drinks and Staff are exceptional! It is a very chilled place with a great vibe! Beach and Reef is very nice and many dive sites very close by. The rooms are chic and elegant. Very stylisch and you feel like home. We will be back again and will keep the great memories in our heart Thank you for a unforgettable stay!
My wife & I celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary & my 5oth birthday on the island last week ( 4days 7 3 nights package) and was really impressed with the welcome and friendliness of the hotel managers ( Vincent , Wissam, Cristian) and the nice restaurant and resort staff like Michael. The island is really good for travellers who are not looking for night life, extreme activities and are more happy with relaxed snorkelling, massages and quiet pool and beach time. They do offer island hopping or snorkelling or parasailing, kite surfing activities if you want to do more but otherwise this small island offers a really relaxed and peaceful vacation. The food was excellent and refined with the half board we got amazing healthy breakfast options and pastry , high quality & very tasteful full course dinners and Christian even gave us a free bottle of champagne and cake to celebrate my birthday & wedding anniversary, We stayed in a boat like cottage off shore which was really well designed and found the massage experience in the spa excellent with really good masseuse who gave a very relaxing 1 hour massage and also enjoyed their hydromassage pool facilities at the heated hydrotheraphy pool at the spa.…
First and foremost, Cocoa Island is stunning. And the best part - it's so easy to get to from Male - a quick jaunt on a speedboat and you are in paradise. Once there, every room is an over water bungalow - exactly how you'd picture the Maldives - crystal clear water in every direction. Sunsets were breathtaking here.
