We've were looking for a quiet hotel to spend Christmas and we found the perfect place here. All the staff are great, the hotel is beautiful, in a great location with just a short boat trip to Venice. The star however is Maria in the spa. We had treatments booked for when we arrived and my massage was exactly what I needed after the flight! We've visited the spa every day and it's always been perfectly relaxing. Well recommended.
Of the only two hotels on Murano, this one is the better deal. Still new when we visited, this renovated glass factory felt – oddly enough – a bit too clean, design-wise. Since it was the end of June, the hotel seemed fully staffed, although the 100 or so rooms were far from fully occupied, yet. This led to amusing scenes of the staff chatting among themselves, in an animated Italian way. Anyway, we lacked nothing and the service was very friendly. We first stayed in a room with park view. We were a bit worried that youngsters in the park would keep us awake, but that turned out to be unfounded as the park closes at night. On the other hand, the park view added little extra, as it turned out to be just a play park for young children. The Navagero vaporetto stop is just around the corner. In fact, the distance you could potentially walk across the hotel grounds is the same as the distance alongside the canal to the vaporetto. The longitudinal layout of the hotel makes it easy to miss the lobby bar, and we did. The terrace, on the other hand, is not to be missed, as it offers a free and unobstructed view of an uninhabited lagoon. It makes you wonder what the fuss is all about of Venice being overcrawled with tourists. NH Collection Murano definitely feels a bit off the beaten track, quiet, relaxing, la vita e bella-vibe, yet at the same time up to standards with what you can expect from a four-star modern hotel – yet it is much better priced than lesser hotels on Venice island.…
I havent been able to book due to the hotel team and their central reservatons team not able to understand basic English and comprend what i was requesting of them I saw a good deal on Secret Escapes and contacted the hotel direct ot see if they could match the deal. and the hotel offted me a rate over £150 above it and as i work in the trade i know that they have to pay 20% commision so its in their interest to take my booking direct I have contacted central reservaitons on 3 calls first call the agent managed to cut me off Second call then transfered me to the hotel directly without telling me Hotel did not comprend what i was asking Third call the agent was not able to help and told me I had provide evicence of the price and I told him he could look on the net himself to see it What a shambles just tryijg to make a reservaiton Based on poor customer service why should I stay at this hotel Maybe the company needs to focus a little on staff training I am trying to organise a supprise for our wedding annivesary at the end of January 2023 and now recall actully haveing poor service from this company at the same time in January 2020 at their hotel in Brussells I will not be using or recommending this company or hotel …
Stayed at this hotel immediately after a cruise. The hotel is in a great location on Murano island, much quieter and less crowded than Venice. A short water taxi ride takes you to St. Marks. Buy your water taxi tickets from the tobacco shop a short walk from the hotel. The rooms are very modern and clean. I was on the bottom floor a short walk from the lobby and restaurant. The breakfast was plentiful and the staff throughout the property were helpful and knowledgeable. My only complaint was the shower. There was no way to keep the water in the shower and it went all over the floor. Everything else was perfect and I will send other travelers to the NH Murano.
Modern, tastefully decorated and clean hotel on the 'glass island' Murano with a lovely terrace overlooking the lagoon, nice lounges and friendly staff. Ideal as a base for easily accessible Venice, away from the crowds and yet so close. Ideal to relax after a hectic day. Excellent breakfast and a restaurant where price/quality/originality is of paramount importance. We moved into a room with a view of the lagoon and imagined ourselves on a ship: the window was + - one and a half meters above the water level! As fervent and regular visitors to Venice, we always stayed in hotels along the Grand Canal. but this year we wanted 'something different', so we chose Murano Villa and what a surprise! We will come back here next time with 100% certainty.
This is my home away from home. I come to Murano twice a year and always stay at NH, it feels like home. The staff is very helpful, the rooms and common space is clean, tastefully design and comfortable. One of the best parts of this hotel is their spa. I love coming back after a day of extensive walking and jumping into a steam bath and having a massage. Elizabeth, the masseuse, was exceptional. I will return in March and hope to find my lovely room with the terrace and the spa open more days (right now only open 3 days per week). Thank you!!
We prefer staying in Murano when in the Venice area and decided to book a room at this hotel. So far it is the best hotel in Murano that we've stayed in. We were able to book the room below the usual price quoted in some of the reviews and we were happy with the room, the staff and the amenities. The room was very well appointed, very clean and spacious with firm bed and fluffy pillows, and we even had our own terrace, perfect for a relaxing evening with a glass of wine or two under the stars. The only thing missing from the room or the bathroom are vanity kits, shower caps and sewing kits. We did not need them so I did not even bother to ask if they supply them if we asked, but to have them on hand would have been a nice touch The staff at the front desk have been very helpful and lovely. The room service was just a tad bit lacking. I left a note asking if we can have extra coffee creamer/milk and sugar packets but my request was ignored. Perhaps, language barrier? But it did not take from how much we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was good with all essentials -- bacon, eggs, sausages, pastries, bread, cheese, fruit, cereal, coffee, tea and juices. Perhaps, breakfast can be better if there is the option of made to order eggs or omelets. I like that coffee is made to order instead of getting it from a machine yourself. On our last night, I booked some me time at the spa and had a massage with their therapist Elisabetta who got out all the kinks, the pain spots and stress knots accumulated from the week of travelling and walking we've done. I wish I had more time than the available 50 minutes before the Spa closed for the night. If you want peace and quiet away from the busyness of Venice, NH Hotel is a good place to stay. I find that the restaurants in Murano are way better than those in Venice -- fresh seafood and tasty Venetian recipes, not the tourist traps in Venice main islands. Murano is a vaporetto ride away from Venice and getting on the vaporetto is part of the experience of being in the area. It is also a couple of stops away from Burano, another charming island half an hour away. Thank you, NH Hotel for a great stay. …
It's a really nice hotel but the staff is not very attentional to your needs. Like my AC didn't seam to be working but they also didn't seam to care. It was extremely hot!! Breafast nice but expensive
£200 per night including breakfast. I expect better. Reception were always lovely and helpful. BUT, our safe didn’t work and we reported in on the night we got there. Four days later and despite a visit from a technical man it still wasn’t working. People DO USE THESE things to keep their property safe (passports and so on) and its particularly important when the door to the room doesn’t shut properly either. We came back to our room on two different days to find the door was open. After a while, we realised we needed to pull the door too when leaving the room to ensure it kept shut properly - shouldn’t need to happen. Breakfast only OK but please put a bit of thought into the buffet. For example, put the butter and bread near the toaster, not at the other end of the spread. Finally, please ALWAYS ask the guests if they want coffee or tea - we shouldn’t have to wait and to catch the eye of someone to ask.…
We have stayed here 3 times in the last 12 months and love the place. Murano is very well connected with Venice and even the outer islands. Closest boat stop is Navagero or alternatively Museo. We enjoyed a room with view to the laguna. Breakfast and meal service in the restaurant is first class. Thank you Tommasina for the incredible attention!
