We are so glad that we stayed at Casa Anita! Ulrich and his wife were the most wonderful hosts and could not have been kinder. Their home is very comfortable and not too far from both the international and domestic airports.
We were so thankful to Ulrich for all his help during our stay. An example of their hospitality...We had to buy bus tickets, they brought us to the station in the morning and went up to the window with us to buy the tickets and then in the evening brought us back to the station and stayed with us as we waited for the bus. Thank you to Ulrich for everything, we highly recommend Casa Anita!

I stayed for 3 nights at Casa Anita. Ulrich picked me up at the bus station and we talked all the way back to the B & B. I had wonderful breakfasts and dinners each day and a private chauffeur to the Panama Canal and to Casco Viejo, the historic part of Panama City. Ulrich and Argelis were excellent hosts. Argelis made us fresh ceviche from the amazing seafood market. When it was time to head home the taxi called to say his car broke down and Ulrich raced me to the airport and waited with me to make sure I made my flight. Couldn't have asked for more.

My husband and I recently spent two nights at Casa Anita. The room was very comfortable, and the food was very good, but the service and care provided by Ulrich and Argelis are absolutely outstanding.
Ulrich helped us with planning and provided transportation. He and Argelis are good cooks and gracious hosts. They obviously enjoy providing their guests with the best possible experience.
The property is on a quiet residential street in the suburb of Las Cumbres. Our room was large and well-furnished, right next to the back terrace with its wonderful hammock. One morning after breakfast a couple of agoutis came to call in the yard by the breakfast table. We could hear toucans call from the park across the street. There is a lovely view of a mist-covered mountain from the front terrace.
We have also stayed in the City Center for a couple of nights and found the contrast with Las Cumbres interesting and educational,

We stayed at Casa Anita for eight nights and received great warmth and hospitality from Ulrich and Argelis. Ulrich drove us to things in and around Panama City or made taxi arrangements for us. Casa Anita attracts people from all over the world and we had great conversations. The down-side is its location. It is out of the way to easily travel to sights in the new or old city. So depending on the time of day, it can easily take 45-90 minutes to reach your destination. If you plan to do things in those areas, then you might want to book something at a hotel in the city. Also, there are no options for dinner near by (although Ulrich and Argelis realize this and will prepare a fairly simple dinner at a reasonable price). Otherwise our time there was enjoyable and pleasant.

Thank you for your review. We was just a little bit surprised about the words you find about our place, because you never spoke this with us. Two days after you left, you wrote a personal E-Mail to me and you told me, how nice was your staying with us. Casa Anita and others persons are glad that we are in this quiet and wonderful place, maybe because they know how noisy and chaotic is Panama City. In this days you stayed with us, you had all freedom to look for another Hotel or B&B, but you didn`t do this. You know that we always try that our guests feeling well with us and in Casa Anita, but I think adults can speak dircetly and honestly about the problems. We try that our guests find a family in our small home, but maybe you didn`t understand this. We wish you a good time, take care and greetings to your beautiful family.

My husband and I visited Casa Anita in Panama on March 2, 2015. This was our second stay at Casa Anita; we visited last March too and look forward to visiting again. We really enjoy everything Casa Anita has to offer, nice private bathroom, comfortable bed, delicious home cooked breakfasts and dinners, served family style on the front porch with the other guest from all over the world. On this visit we met people from Switzerland, Germany, Italy and Canada and had a lot of laughs. This B&B is truly special because of the wonderful owners Argelis and Ulrich who work very hard to make their guests happy and comfortable in their home. When we travel to Panama we could stay anywhere but we choose Casa Anita because of the genuine warmth and hospitality of the owners, you will not find this level of friendliness and quality of caring service anywhere. If you plan to visit Panama City then I highly recommend staying at Casa Anita, it is an experience you won't forget.

We were travelling as a couple and stayed two nights in Casa Anita. Our stay at Casa Anita was simply perfect. From the very first communication with the owners, Ulrich and Ahilles, till the very end - we just enjoyed every minute. The B&B is located around half an hour with traffic from Panama City Centre. The neighbourhood is green, lovely and allows you to get some proper sleep. The room was spacious, very clean, with AC and everything we could have asked for. Achilles and Ulrich went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. Apart from providing a great breakfast with delicious coffee they also offer a home-cooked dinner which was both times we had it delicious. Ulrich helped us organise our trip to Panama City and gave us lifts to the city and to the airport when we left (and in doing so he had to get up at 4:30 am - we are forever grateful). The prices for rooms and food are very reasonable and we were more than happy to join the beautiful dinner they provided to all guests in the evening. It was lovely to meet other people and to learn from Ulrich and Achilles about their and Panama's history. There is simply nothing we can complain about - it was the perfect stay and I totally recommend this place to anyone seeking to stay in Panama City.

This is a bed and breakfast. I stayed one night after being in travel for 1-1/2 days. Bed comfortable, room nice, all the facilities one could ask for. I opted to have dinner with the owners and it was delicious and plentiful, held on their patio. Ulrich had picked me up at Tocumen, helped me buy a cell phone and SIM card, and assisted in learning to use the phone. My bus ride to David the next morning caused us to get up at 4 a.m., nice breakfast, and again Ulrich assisted me in getting bus ticket and luggage to the waiting area of the bus terminal. Location is away from the noise of the city and located in a secured residential area. Very nice one night stay and I'd have no hesitation in staying there again should circumstances warrant.

My wife and I usually like staying at smaller inns and we added an addition this year and brought our one year old son with us for our first trip to Panama. Everything about Casa Anita and our wonderful hosts felt like being at home! We were made welcome from the start. Our arrangements from pickup at the airport, transportation, tour suggestions and arrangements, as well as meals were dealt with with and every detail addressed. Ulrich, one of the owners responded promptly to e-mails prior to our arrival and offered services above and beyond for an Inn. Argelis, his wife attended to our needs while we stayed at Casa Anita and single-handedly took care of our family and made sure to let us feel at home since Ulrich was unfortunately away. She arranged a tour of the canal locks with a driver, transfers to/from Albrook Airport, Flamenco Marina, and Gamboa, as well as assisted in tour arrangements. Argelis offered a local cell phone to use, called ahead for tours while we were away, and catered to several early morning transfers with breakfast at the ready. The meals provided were plentiful and well prepared with considerations for our son and our tastes as well as providing delicious local fare. The room was comfortable and more than adequate and Argelis had a crib at the ready for us to use. The home is situated in a quiet and safe residential neighborhood just outside the city, but close to attractions. Overall I can't give enough praise for Argelis, Ulrich, and the accommodations that they have lovingly provided. They truly made us feel at home during our stay and went above and beyond to provide a wonderful experience at Casa Anita and in Panama! Highly recommended and if we're back in the area, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

As retired airline employees and frequent global travelers, we just happened upon one of the neatest B&B's we've ever experienced. Everything said in previous reviews echo exactly how we feel. The rooms are fine. The location is nice. The relaxing pool was a bonus, along with the nice grounds. But the hospitality and kindness expressed by the owners, Ulrich and Argelis, cannot be matched. They are both really good chefs and will make meals, breakfast and dinner, to your liking. Accomodating different dietary needs is no problem. I had wonderful gluten-free meals. All the meals were so delicious and we stayed 4 days and ate all meals there! Ulrich will be happy to perform airport transports and play tour guide to all the local sites. He really tries so hard to make sure all of his guests are taken care of. We enjoyed our conversations with both of them. Ask him about Blues music. He is the man!! And Argelis is so sweet. As we're planning on moving to Panama in the near future, Ulrich was a wealth of knowledge. Plus, we just made two new special friends! You'll enjoy your stay with them. We promise!

We ended our first trip to Panama at Casa Anita with Ulrich and Argelis. Ulrich takes his guests under his wing to assure them of the most attentive stay. We were picked up at the airport and given a positively lovely tour of old Panama City which included a perfect lunch and a visit to the most delightful ice cream shop ever! All the while, Ulrich engaged us in historical facts, answered our myriad questions and was most concerned for our comfort. At Casa Anita, we met Argelis who couldn't have been more lovely. We enjoyed a delicious dinner with wine and retired to an immaculate room and a peaceful rest before our morning flight. Ulrich and Argelis are very professional host and hostess and we thank them for their hospitality.
