Trojan was one of the best 2-star hotels I have stayed in. Fully renovated in 2015, it’s very clean and well run hotel. We spent two weeks there on full board and found our stay great value for money. The location is very nice. 5minute uphill walk from center of spa area in Ladek-Zdroj. This is the last hotel along this street – beyond it there are forested mountains with nice walking path. The hotel has about 70 rooms on three floors. It also has small indoor pool, fitness area and ground floor with wellness therapies. Free wifi works well. Small but new flat-screen TVs in the rooms have surprisingly good choice of Polish and international channels. On the negative side – rooms are nicely renovated but small and basic. Its budget two-star hotel after all. You can choose between rooms with nice sunny side view on the valley and hills and those facing immediately the hill behind the hotel. The rooms with better view have a disadvantage though particularly in the summer– they are noisier and hotter, which is a bit of an issue as noise insulation and air ventilation is poor. In front of the hotel there is small sitting area where guests smoke and chat also in late hours. With open windows in the summer you can smell the cigarette smoke from the area in your room. I think that rooms facing northern no view side are quitter and cooler in the summer. Breakfast is repetitive but good choice and tasty. We had full board which also includes small one-meal lunch served to the table as well as dinner buffet. Dinner buffet has two option (warm meal + cold buffet) or cheaper cold buffet only. Overall the food was not bad although on some particular days composition of food for lunch and dinner was not very fortunate - eg. pork-knuckle for lunch followed by another pork meal for dinner. Great location not far away from Czarna Gora skiing resort, very nice and friendly staff, great breakfasts and suppers, lovely swimming pool, great for kids, we had a lovely holiday. The only problem if you want to book some massages you have to do it a bit earlier otherwise nice quiet place.
