Detailed Reviews
Basically it's a number of converted shipping containers next to the beach. I thought it was expensive for the room quality, food and drinks. The service we received on arrival was laughably bad and got worse. The idiot girl behind the bar had to be begged to wash a glass so dirty it looked like she had found it on the beach. No Wifi, no customer service, no chance I will ever go back.

Once again as an air crew member I overnight. I guess one could say that all hotels blur into one when you are living out of a suitcase. However, this one certainly stands out for two very good reasons. The first being the rooms are very tastefully converted shipping containers that are really quite novel and also very comfortable. I loved it. The second is, the food in the restaurant. The catch of the day is simply Devine.

Had lunch on 2 occasions at Talio Lodge Restaurant during recent stay in Wewak. Good food choices on the menu. The burger choices and chips are generous servings along with other selections on the menu. Restaurant is on the beach front, so one can go for a swim while waiting for their meal or relax and have a drink. Relaxing venue.

+1
This is our 2nd time in Talio, first in 2015 and 2nd is Dec 2017. We rented out 2 rooms which are located at the beachfront area, the view is always awesome, the breeze is relaxing and the staff headed by Krenzin is accommodating and friendly.
We often come to have dinner or eat Pizza at Turtle Bar to unwind on a weekday.

The Talio is located right on the beach almost directly across the road from the airport, with white sand and palm trees stretching off in either direction. A tall fence and security guards ensure those who enter and leave have valid business and are departing with their own vehicle, but we had zero problems walking around on our own, anyway. The outside bar serves excellent food! Very reasonably priced, we are there several times and enjoyed every one of them. Decor is very Sepik and awesome to see. The rooms are actually shipping containers but comfortable and air conditioned, plus nice and quiet. The only down side for us is that it’s located a very long way from Wewak town. You’ll definitely need a ride or rental vehicle to do anything more than go swimming.

While staying at the Wewak Boutique Hotel a group of nine of us went to the Lodge to have dinner. We sat outside right at the water's edge and had an excellent dinner. The beer was cold, the evening balmy and there was no complaints, only compliments, from everyone that was there. The service was good and the prices were extremely reasonable for the large servings provided. I had fish of the day, which I was told had been caught that afternoon, and while being initially sceptical of that claim, it was the most freshest fish (mackerel fillet) I've ever eaten in a restaurant. As such, I would highly recommend it to anybody who has a couple of nights in Wewak.

A quiet laid back lodge 5 minutes walk across from the Boram Airport.
Owner has converted shipping containers into comfy live in rooms all kitted with showers and toilets.
The sea front has million dollar view of the famous Boram Bay; east towards Boram Hospital with Kairuru Island as its background. You can see the lights of Wewak Hill at nights. West is Moem Army Barrack.
The restaurant/bar is simple but elegant. The prices are reasonable. If you going as a group please be sure to call in your order in advance to avoid the long wait.
There's a public bar next to the Lodge under the same management. If you wish to mingle with the locals do so at your own risk.
