The hotel is situated near the Lake Toya. It is an onsen hotel (hotel which offer the traditional Japanese hot bath). It is set in a traditional Japanese peaceful and relaxing atmosphere and the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a large foyer where free-flow of sake (Japanese rice wine) are offer for free for its guests. It is also near to some of Toyako-chu’a popular tourist spots, ie Hokkaido Toyako Summit Memorial Museum etc as well as restaurants.

This hotel was an absolute waste of money. I travelled with a group of 20 to this hotel to tour the surroundings. When I got to the hotel I was instantly unimpressed by the lift. There was one and it was tiny. Seriously, the rooms were not much better. The beds were mattresses lying in the floor. The cleaners wouldn’t even make the beds for you in the morning. All they did was give you two towels nothing else. The room was tiny and service poor. Pillows were as hard as rocks. They even felt like rocks. This hotel was horrible. Never coming back.

We stayed here on May 15th. This hotel really needs to be renovated,it’s very old. Compare with the price, it’s so expensive ,really not worth, the facilities are really poor quality. The room is so smelly with many dusts. Luckily we stayed here only 1 night. Receptionist cant speak English. The only good thing abt this hotel is location, opposite Toya lake then you can walk there and enjoy firework at night. But you can choose many other hotels, even have both better location and facility We are so disappointed.

Hotel is old and is in needs of major renovation. Rare staff seems to have given-up. I stayed there for two nights with family and we had a tatami room, which was okay, but staff didn't bother on packing up the futon beds in order for us to have more space. Food was below average

Booked this hotel as it’s the most inexpensive during a peak season it seems in Hokkaido. Still expensive but comparing with other hotel rates it’s what I can afford for a hotel which has onsen. Am ok to stay in a simple hotel but what really irritated me is the attitude of some of the staff and some facilities are really of poor quality. The aircon is very poor, we had to resort to using a fan. When I mentioned to seems to be the manager, he reacted like he can’t be bothered with my concern because he said the AC is working then looked at His watch like am wasting his time. The room is very smelly when we first entered. The lift from street floor to reception is very smelly. The room is old. The front desk person didn’t smile when we checked in. You’re in hospitality business! So if you don’t like what you’re doing get out of it!

Stayed here for a night so we can watch the fireworks around Lake Toya at night. The hotel in general is quite dated. The room is quite old and doesn't have any air-conditioning. It got quite hot in the room with the afternoon sun. The hotspring area was ok but not spectacular. To our surprise the dinner was quite good. The quality of our food is high and plentiful. We enjoyed our dinner very much. The hotel is also centrally located so we could just walk to the lake for the fireworks which was great. I'm not sure whether I'll stay at this hotel again though.

My family and I had a relaxing stay here recently and I recommend this hotel as a great mid-range option. The onsen facilities were clean and the wash products were great, our room had a lake-facing view (partial obstructed by other buildings) but the room was clean and spacious, breakfast was also good. The lake, bars, and restaurants were super close

Stayed here with our almost 2-yr old son for a wedding in the area. We had a room on the 5th fl facing the lake-side - you can't fully see the lake due to other hotels blocking the view, but you got plenty of light and breeze from the lake which was nice. Location-wise, its very close to the center of town - within walking distance to restaurants/ cafes/ convenience stores + lake. Overall, it seemed like a middle-of-the-road onsen ryokan, but rooms / facilities were clean & good service... I would recommend staying here if you plan to head to Toyako!
