Excellent cleanliness.. Great service and hospitality. Nice Indian food. Beautiful location. Would like to appreciate the services especially of Madhulakshmi ji in Masala Hut restaurant. Overall very good experience.
The occasion was our 15 wedding Anniversary. We booked this hotel via Agoda after comparing rates in few resorts. One significant advantage of this resort is its proximity to Velana International airport in Male. A complimentary speed boat drive takes you to the island in just 15 to 20 minutes. For the rest of the resorts, we have to shell out dollars for speed boat/seaplane transfers. You save around 500 dollars in transfers for booking this resort. Amazing traits of all staff members irrespective of their job - they smile and greet you as you explore the island. Many are working here for more than a decade and treat all guests as part of their extended family. Their dedication to their jobs is inspiring. They all have "happiness" and "calmness" within which glows and stands out in their personality/behaviors. For teetotallers - Opt for the Full board option to save some dollars on the a la carte menu. 7 restaurants serve brilliant mouth-watering cuisine all day. Activities for kids are planned at the Beach facing Kakuni hut. This will keep them occupied and the best part - help them make friends with kids all around the world. Their innocence in smiling and building instant friendships rubs onto the parents as well. Vida from Mizoram in India can handle the tantrums of kids from all over the world as she guides them in play activities. All Staff here at Sheraton are brilliant in what they do daily but few who made us feel special with their conversations are as under After arrival at the Airport Resort pick-up counter -28 - Representative - Wasiu - his smile is infectious. Patient and down-to-earth - handles all queries/doubts on the speed boat drive to resort. The team at Hotel Lobby & Reception - Brilliant team of Russel; Ahmeem; Remelyn; Hassan; Shurufa and Nikki - Check-in formalities are smooth - one signature is all that is needed. They know all entry and exit points on the island. If ever pirates launch an attack on this island - these 6 will save you from them :) Buggy driver - Abul - looks very handsome like a Formula 1 driver. He drives all his guests explaining locations to Island restaurants and bars on way to your room. Masala hut - You have to meet Muthulakshmi and Hassan who serve sumptuous Indian dishes to all guests in this restaurant. They explain Indian dishes served like a professor explaining a complex subject to his students :) If you are lucky and there is no rain you get to enjoy candlelight dinner by the beach just outside this restaurant. At Feast - Buffet restaurant - You are greeted with a warm smile by Eka / Panadda as you enter it. You will lose the count of dishes midway if you ever try to count them - just enjoy the variety of cuisine served here daily for Breakfast and Dinner. Moideen manages the Dosa counter - makes real tasty south Indian dosas faster than a robot :) He is been there for around 20 years. Sanjay is the Egg specialist - who flips eggs and turns them into tasty dishes. Serving team of Ahil; Birendra; Ahmed Saleem; Shamhaaz always ensure you have your meals in a relaxed manner. Mohammed Saleem is the Head of the Food and Beverage section - he charms us with his diverse knowledge of ingredients used in various food items. He knows all the "secrets" behind the taste of dishes prepared. Kakuni Hut - delivers lip-smacking Mexican dishes all day. Chef Pankaj works like a magician to prepare his magic dishes. Su-Jon & Shahmooz serve them with love to all guests ordering with them. Chopstix - Salinda from Thailand; Fakih from the Maldives - serve you delicious food with chopsticks on the table. Both won't charge you extra if you don't know how to use chopsticks. Fakih is working there for the past 14 years. Anchorage bar - Nurul's smile is visible from a mile as you enter it. Samooh's real quick taking multiple orders. Sea Salt & Ban Thai - Missed dining at these 2 restaurants as these were not included in my package. As you near the end of your visit - the only to capture those beautiful memories is with Photos. Sharoof is the Manager of the photo studio behind reception. Sharoof and Azeem are expert photographers in the Maldives. They can make you look like Mr and Miss Universe with their photography skills. Never doubt them for a second and do what they ask you to pose for the complimentary photo shoot. The Album is worth every penny for the sheer creative brilliance of this studio team. Don't miss walking to Spa on a small island away from the main island connecting with a beautiful pathway - a perfect spot for Sunrise and Sunset. Anand from India and his team at the spa will help you relax and unwind in the scenic spa. The entire Water sports center team ensure you don't miss the adventure of water sports during your stay. Kayaking; Snorkelling lessons; Jet skis are some activities you can experiment with with a life jacket On. Mango's attitude and happiness as he teaches guest snorkeling is Inspiring. He is a brilliant photographer as well. As you leave this resort bidding goodbye - you will feel in the corner of your heart - if you can extend your stay by a few days more. People working here with passion and dedication - serving only Love and Warmth will ensure you leave with a wish to revisit them again sometime very soon. I can't wait to get back and enjoy their hospitality. Wishing the entire team Working at Sheraton Maldives the very best in their life and career ahead.…
Excellent service Excellent food by masala hut Thanks Mrs Lakshmi best service The best place and the best resort in Maldives with excellent and superb hospitality and the rooms and food just fantabulous
We came here for a week with the family , knowing Maldives very well , we were skeptic as we usually travel to northern atolls . The island is pretty big with several restaurants and both water villa and beach room accommodation . The rooms are very well appointed and well maintained considering the age of the hotel. The mai lagoon is beautiful as well different snorkelling spots , well look after by some marine biologists. Every island in Maldives should have that …. Public areas are spotless and vegetation is lush and super tidy. The overall food quality around the resorts with 6/7 dining options to choose from is TOP CLASS … nothing to envy to the super chic expensive Hotels in Maldives. Service though is very average … the Spa is beautifully nestled in a private island and Balinese therapists are very good..gym is big but with very old machinery and never attended . Water sports centre is excellent and very well equipped. The only negative point is the lack that of information of activities in the island …. and the kids club is a ghost venue. If there would be more managers and guests relation around the public areas trust it wouldn’t be a struggle to get to know things as we did. P.S. book in advance Sea Salt Restaurant as they have a small terrace .. but experience is a Michelin star one. Overall a wonderful Resort , will be back for sure without any doubt Mark…
Had an amazing experience with Sheraton Maldives. Staff is supportive and helpful. 5 days stay in Sheraton was relaxing and fun. Specially Hasan from Masala Hutt restaurant really helped us a lot while selecting Indian cuisine. Best part of Hasan was he was really helpful and always came and sorted our issues if we had any with a smile. Thank you Hasan for amazing help and a great host for our trip.
The Masala hut restaurant was just amazing;we couldn’t have survived without this restaurant. We had delicious food everyday with different vegetarian options. This restaurant is the only restaurant which had variety of vegetarian options with good taste . The staff and chef at the masala hut were very homely that we enjoyed going to have our meals there. The hospitality was wonderful . The manager (mrs Lakshmi) is a very great manager with good professional nature , she made sure we taste all the good options. Hasan and Asif were great at the service ,they were so positive around, which felt good . The chef Rafi ( magician) : the chef had magic in his hands ;he made super delicious dishes for us everyday with the perfect taste we preferred. Masala hut is the best restaurant in the resort for vegetarians. All the staff and the chef are so sweet . Thank you for having us Sheraton full moon resort and spa . We couldn’t have made it without MASALA HUT.…
Masala hut was one of our favourite restaurants at Sheraton resort in maldives. Everyone in staff were very considerate to our special Swaminarayan meal request without onions and garlic! Thank you Laksmi and Chef for your service!
Fantastic! The GM Muhammad And RM Sergio have built a wonderful team. The food was exquisite! EChef Ricardo along with his team - Yerlan Chaminda and Kalum made our stay a gastronomic adventure. Quality ingredients crafted ingeniously to give you an experience you will not forget! Special mention of Bilendra from Assam who served us before we asked for it! Thank you! NYE A 50s themed night was mind blowing….. The decor made us go back in time. Food from all continents, 50s music with the latest lighting with a DJ too👍 The fireworks at 12 was something else. Never experienced this type . Very impressed! The Ocean Villa was well maintained with our own plunge pool. Privacy 👍 Kalinin Hut and the beach surrounding makes you feel like paradise! Need I saw more….. If you haven’t been to the Maldives you are missing out and my first experience at the Sheraton was Fantastic! Don’t think twice….…
Masala Hut was the best part of our trip. Kid you not, we were starving when we landed in Maldives and we went to Masala Hut directly before checking our villa and true to that choice, they got us the best food, freshly made and even accommodated our additional asks with a smile always. We couldn’t have left w/o coming back after that type of hospitality and true to our word, we came back after a whole of fasting and yet again they maintained the standard and went the extra mile to make us and our tummies happy! Kudos! Keep up the good work Lakshmi & Mr. Mondal! Comment from my day who is not easy to please as a customer- 4 Star food & 5 Star service. Special appreciation for the chef for the perfect customized tandoori rotis. Spa staff is excellent at their craft Mango was excellent with his patience as a snorkeling teacher and companion in the Ocean. 5 stars through and through to him and his staff. The only comment/complaint I have is about the Feast buffet. Eventhough feedback was received immediately, the Buffet seemed grossly overpriced for the quality of Asian food. That said, the service at feast during dinner and breakfast was 5 star and the hostess/service manager went the extra mile to please us. We hope to see Improvement in the food at buffet dinners being temperature hot certainly not cold. The resort staff get 5 stars as well for their customer service. Lastly, the service at the photo studio can be improved including the price point. The photographer did not put us at ease which made all the smiles go missing from my parents face in the pictures which is why I could not spend $250 for all the pictures. Also, as a customer that spent $6,000 for 3 nights at the resort, the studio was absolutely inflexible and borderline rude about sending the courtesy picture and 2 additional pics via email and insisted on only being able to print 1 copy which as we know is not as relavent in this digital world. With the above feedback being addressed, please be assured of us recommending Sheraton Half Moon to friends and family.…
Reason for choosing Sheraton: 20 mins from airport by Speed boat and we didn't want to risk flying in smaller planes due to bad weather etc when they don't fly. Right from our welcome to our Ocean floor villa, everything was just perfect. The real asset of Sheraton are the staff members: Eka and Ali at Feast were a delight. So was Muthulakshmi at Masala Hut.So cordial, hospitable and understanding all the time. Feast is a good place for breakfast only. Avoid lunch or dinner. We spent most of our evenings at Anchorage which is where they had live music etc. Kakuni Hut has stunning views. Very quiet yet on the beach. Lovely cocktails. The only things we didn't like was The massage services at Spa. They were just very very average. For the price they charge (approx 200 USD) for a full body treatment, the service and quality was just not right. Anchorage can surely do with some better music since it's a common place for everyone to chill and relax. A little upbeat music will be good for bar too. Avoid hookah at Anchorage. It's not good. We were in the Over Water villas which was very spacious and the bathroom was gorgeous. Since we were celebrating a special milestone, they made extra arrangements of champagne etc in room. Very sweet of them. Our special occasion was made more special by Sheraton team. Regarding packages, pls choose All Inclusive if you like to drink because otherwise it's just very expensive. A bottle of sparkling water is USD 15 so you can guess alcohol pricing.…
