Chose this hotel to celebrate a milestone birthday and had a lovely experience. Arrived early and rooms all ready for us. Relaxed in bar with tea and sandwiches, staff absolutely lovely. We were able to have a private dining area at no extra cost which had a great ambiance. We took advantage of a dinner, bed and breakfast deal per couple and what good value it was. The food was excellent both at dinner and breakfast. Rooms were large and individual and I want to go again. Thanks to all the staff who helped my birthday feel special

We were visiting family, and decided to eat out. We have known this hotel for over forty years and have had many family celebrations here. Went for lunch and it was superb; both the quality of the food, and the efficiency of the staff. This hotel has never failed to deliver, and to emphasise the point, they are already fully booked for Christmas Day. Highly recommended.

This is what you expect when you book a traditional English country hotel, I suppose. The interior, the exterior, the somewhat stiff hospitality, the full English breakfast, it's all there amid a 1950 scenario. Gorgeous. You'll probably gladly take some disadvatages for granted, like the out of date bathroom, the tiny bedroom, a bit stuffy because no old window will open. And off you go, relaxed, to your next stay. Such a modern cube, in which everything works, And you burn'em to the ground for the least shortcoming you encounter. Modern traveler is often a masochist and sadist in one.

Went to a wedding reception here. The staff were brilliant - friendly and helpful. The food was excellent - great portion sizes and tasty. It’s a lovely setting with extensive grounds. We had a lovely day there and I would recommend to anyone for a meal or a wedding reception

I stayed on my own last night for work & was very well looked after by Tom. The hotel is very clean & a nice comfy bed but the highlight was dinner in the restaurant! The food was fabulous. I would definitely recommend this hotel & I look forward to staying again.

Lovely country house hotel, full of character and charm Family run and very welcoming Lovely restaurant with quality, local produce. Very handy for both Norwich (20 mins drive to city centre) Norwich airport ( 10 mins), and north Norfolk ( right on the doorstep, with Cromer only 30 mins).

We spent two nights here, and we’re spoilt rotten. It’s a beautiful old house in a very peaceful location. Yes some small elements are in need of maintenance, but it’s the charm of it all that means it doesn’t really matter. The staff, special mention to Hayley, are truly superb. Thank you again. The food is great as well, a little overpriced if I’m honest, but wonderful local produce.
