This review is based on staying here as part of the compulsory 7 Day Alternate Quarantine.

The booking was made through Agoda and the required documents for Thailand Pass were supplied swiftly. This included a change of booking due to a flight cancelation. All changes were handled swiftly and easily via the Line Chat from the hotel/Agoda.

At the airport we easily located our pick up and had the airport van to ourselves, not shared with any other travelers.

On arrival we were immediately taken for our first PCR test, this was very fast and easy as the test centre is at the Hotel.

Check in was a little slow as the hotel needs to process all the relevant government documents and so forth. During that time selected food for the first few days of our stay. The menu (included with the booking) is three choices for each mean – When Vegetarian, One Asian, One Western. Once done we were shown to our room and requested to stay in the room until the results of the first PCR test came in.

PCR results arrived the next day and then we were free to use the facilities of the hotel as we desired, this included the pool, gym, roof top area and coffee shop. There is also free internet as well as English TV. Internet was fine for running Netflix etc.

The rest of the stay was pretty routine. Food was pleasantly fine. Nothing to shout about but having spent time in another Quarantine hotel, this was far better than I expected. In the evening a trolley comes around offer extra drinks, beer and wine. Room service is available , and you can have outside deliveries dropped off. Anything you run short of, such as water or coffee capsules, you can request more from the staff.

The staff were very polite and friendly, no issues there.

My only complaint would be the noise from the road. If you can get a room on the back of the hotel then do so. The road noise is constant and if you are a light sleeper you will be constantly woken up.

That said, all in all, I had no issues during the stay.

Located in a working class light industrial neighbourhood the hotel seems a bit misplaced in such an area, it is however convenient for the airport either on the shuttle or a quick taxi ride away and a good place to stay.
Dont make my rookie mistake and stand outside looking for a minivan with the hotel name, you need to find the 'register/check in point' as you come through arrivals with paper sign covered railings and different reps working the list of companies.

Had a really good 3 night stay here, all staff very friendly and smiling, checked in easily and allocated a very clean, spacious room on the top floor with fantastic views over the airfield. Actually quieter on this side of the hotel than rooms facing what is a busy and constantly noisy main road opposite the entrance.
Plenty of space, comfy bed and a useful writing desk with chair.
Coffee, water tea and a kettle all provided.
The aircon was effective throughout and I maintained a good signal on the wifi for the 3 nights only logging in once to start.
Bathroom ok with some toiletries, the over bath shower was just about adequate!!

If not included the breakfast price is a little pricy by local standards but is fresh and plentiful with Asian or euro style hot food, cereals fruit etc. You wont go hungry.
Evening options were surprisingly good - Thai based curries or stirfry tasty and filling. You may well be serenaded by local musicians covering classic pop tunes as you feast!

I enjoyed my stay here and it met all my expectations - and some.

Firstly excellent staff, cannot talk of the management as never seen despite issues raised like the safe not working.
The hotel will be for some reminiscent of a 1970 hotel, velour and looking dated even upon its opening, it desperately in need of a make over as bathroom tiles are cracked and metalwork stained, the use of white mastic as a sealant to fill chips and gaps is widespread.
If you are staying for one night it is bearable any longer and you may wish you had not.
The food is an odd mix of possibly Asian and definatly not western, the delights of receiving a breakfast tray of a few salad leafs, an odd grape, butter, jam and cold baked beans is a novelty that quickly evaporates when you get it the following and every day.
The idea of roast chicken and roast potatoes easily gets lost when the reality of what looks like some slimy KFC rejects appear and lack flavor, crispness … you get the picture.
I must give credit where it’s due and that is the small mini rolls that accompany breakfast are very good, but one cannot live on small offerings of bread.
Again I repeat that the staff are very helpful but seem to lack the power to action complaints about the food and promises that the manager will turn up to fix the safe are now taken with a smile and the knowledge it will never happen.
I must say I deeply resent paying for what is poor quality, imitation western food, especially when a large A4 folder full of glossy photos of well presented and substantial food offering that look far more like the genuine article sits on the table in the corner of the room, that is if you wish to pay for it on room service.

The hotel is claiming to be a 5* venue for ASQ, let me assure you it is not, more 3-4* if you happen to be lucky.
The ASQ video is actually no reflection on what you will be getting so be warned, it is not the cheapest by far so you would expect much better for what you are getting.
The staff are very friendly and helpful which is a bonus.
The bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the rooms have mosquitos hence being bitten on a daily basis.
The biggest problem is good hot meals being served regularly, weekends are a disaster.
I am glad to get my ASQ over and done with, I just wish how can this hotel get by with false advertising.
Biggest advise would be, spend a little more and get much better especially for ASQ.

We stayed here one night for a layover. The property is on a very busy street with no other food options around, the hotel does have a restaurant which was mediocre but very slow. Half the drink options weren’t available (juices/smoothies). The rooms are spacious but be careful there is a drop in floor height from the entrance to the bathroom. There is also a difference in floor height in the gym between the tiled walk way and the gym floor this is not visible and also not marked but the drop is roughly an inch easy to trip and fall. Pool is nice but no loungers in the shade. The whole floor we stayed on was reeking of fresh paint. Wifi was slow and whenever you move around in the hotel you lose it and have to connect to a different location. Breakfast option was there for a little over $10. Food was mediocre the bread was dried out and old. There was a nice selection of cheeses though and fresh fruit juices. The staff was very friendly and the free airport shuttle was a nice touch. Would probably not stay here again.

We chose this hotel as it was a good location for us to return our hire car and then travel to the airport to fly home.

Upon arrival we found the entrance a bit steep. Although a bit slow to see us, we were grateful of the assistance frrom thee doorman in bringing our luggage inside where we checked in effortlessly.

The room was quite dark when we entered, even with the lights on and after opening the curtains, we closed them again due to the lack of anything. There was plently of space available, with a TV (English language channels available), kettle for making hot beverages. an inferior brand of nesspresso pod coffee machine that I could not work out how to use with both free pods ending up inside the machine unused and a bonus insect that was hiding under the machine. One of the electrical outlett wwas setup in such a way that when you plugged something in, it would not sit correctly.

The bathroom was sufficeint in size with a shower over bath and one of those nylon shower curtains that like to stick to everything when wet, myself included.

During the evening after returning to the hotel, we both used the shower with me going second. Fortunatley I had just turned off the shower from the basic mixer tap and grabbed the towel when I was envloped in total darkness. After calling my wife to bring me my phone so that I could use its light after nearly slipping in the wet bath.

My wife spoke to someone from the hotel, possibly a duty manager as another room experianced the same issue just before us. The halway electrics and other room appeared unaffected. I then found him some time later after finding out that the emergency touch attached to the hotel wall did not work. He appeared to by quite non plussed about it and said he would call someone up to deal with it.

15 minutes later power was restored and another member of staff who spoke no English came to take the torch away to fix it or replace it. Whilst I am aware that issues beyond the control of anther can happen, at no point did we recieve an apology due to the inconveniance.

For breakfast theree was a large dining area and a large choice of the typical buffet breakfasts you find in Thailand with a few extras such as granola with yoghurt.

This is properly the worst 5 star hotel we have ever been to. We ordered room service an got 3 pizzas that looked and tasted like frozen pizza. One pizza for 300 baht and we waited 1,5 hours for the food. It was not because there was a full hotel, so it can’t be because they were busy. By the standards of a 5 star hotel. The food was so disappointing.. The hotel is very old and the suite we lived in was old and needed and update! AC was loud all night. We had to pay right away when we came, and they forgot to charge us for 300baht. This made them come to our room at 10 pm with a remote credit card machine to me us pay!

All in all a very bad experience that I would warn people about to stay at.

I have just completed my mandatory quarantine at Siam Mandarina Hotel.
A very positive experience from check in to check out.
Staff very responsive and friendly.
My room was spacious enough, clean and had all the necessary amenities. However I would recommend to try and get a room farther away from the road as it can get quite noisy at times. It didn't bother me but might be an issue for some.
The food was adequate in both quality and quantity. Only issue is that it was mostly cold or lukewarm when delivered. There is always a choice of 3 different options for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
As for the location it suited me perfectly. Near the airport and away from the city making it more convenient for my partner to pick me up without having to drive through Bangkok's horrendous traffic.
All in all a very positive experience, under the circumstances.
I would not hesitate to stay at the Siam Mandarina Hotel again.

Excellent hotel for overnight layover between flights. Room was huge, immaculate and very comfortable. Staff were excellent and helpful. Taxi from airport is just 10 mins (150 bhat) -- make sure take "short trip" line and not "regular taxi". Hotel has free shuttle back to airport. Buffet breakfast was very good with wide range of Chinese and Western choices. Restaurant downstairs is passable (try Thai green papaya salad) but very slow (waited 1 hour for dinner!). Note there's nothing around the hotel and 7/11 opposite requires crossing 8 lanes of busy traffic (no traffic lights so run!) so bring own snacks etc. Recommended for stopover convenience and comfort.

We arrived BKK in the middle of the night and stayed here for a longnlayover.

The hotel was very good in communicating instructions to find the free hotel shuttle. Every staff we encountered had great customer service. We were very appreciative of the driver and bellhop with helping our many pieces of luggage

Rooms were clean and adequate. Breakfast buffet was very delicious and had many options for various preferences.
