I was very much looking forward to staying here but compared to the other hotel stays in Sicily we had this was not a good stay for many reasons. I would like to say that in line with other reviews Marisa was lovely and very helpful with advice on places to visit. The restoration outside including the pool area was a delight however the accommodation and finishing touches were not evident. During our 3 day stay not one of us slept well. The beds were very hard, the rooms were very hot ( the air con was broken) There were plastic protective sheets on all the beds and they smelt very damp. No where for you to put away clothes and very little in the way of effort had been put into these rooms.By far our biggest criticism was the bathroom. They were tiny and very hard to even get

One of the most romantic settings we've ever experienced. We stayed in a charming, spacious suite with a big outdoor patio, large sitting room and huge bedroom. I hate to be critical of such a lovely place, but we thought it fell short of its fantastic potential. Service was cordial but they seemed surprised when we asked them for something, such as purchasing a bottle of wine, help with arranging a vineyard tour, etc. There is very little in the Menfi area so you are sort of dependent on your hotel for guidance. Although it was beautiful, we wouldn't stay again.

A winding road from Menfi leads one to a serene spot in the country surrounded by olive trees and vineyards. The meal was magnificent and the wine wonderful... Both red and white. Marisa could not have been more charming. Flowers and quaint decor are everywhere.

When planning a trip to Sicily and renting a car, Hotel Baglio San Vincenzo is a fantastic 1700-century getaway just outside Menfi. One hour away from Palermo, situated in the beautiful Sicilian countryside, this wineyard has got a lot to offer. Sicilian hospitality as it's finest combined with perfect setting including the most beautiful countryside view by the pool in the back garden. Good food and wine, great company. Highly recommended.

BSV is a walled compound set on a hilltop amongst vineyards and olive groves 10 minutes outside of Menfi. It has the feel of a converted old monastery in many ways, and offers a beautiful and relaxing setting that immediately puts one at ease. It's a great place to get away from it all, and with only 13 rooms, will never be crowded. Surprisingly, the place is virtually empty during the week, but often caters to larger events on weekends. I was the only guest there during my midweek stay and absolutely loved the solitude and personal attention--this is a fabulous place to get a rustic, authentic Sicilian experience--yet only a 15 minute drive from the beach. The rooms are simple and very clean Sicilian country decor. Quite comfortable but not plush. Bathrooms could use larger

After a very full day of driving and touring Segesta, Selinunte and Erice we arrived much later in the evening than we had planned at the Hotel (we were to be the last guests of the season at this beautiful place before it closed for the winter, so we were the only couple staying there that night). The owner, Marissa, was incredibly gracious upon our late arrival, and asked if we had had our dinner yet. The answer we replied was "no", and that we added we had been hoping to have dinner at the Hotel that night, because we had known the kitchen was very good. Marissa called back her chef and a waitress, because they had already gone home, and soon we were served a sumptuous full course Sicilian dinner -which included amazing quality wines produced at Baglio San Vincenzo on it's

It's a truly special place! Located on top of the hill with outstanding views, surrounded by olive gardens and vineyards. Very quiet and peaceful. It's a historical property with a chapel inside which it makes it even more interesting. The rooms are very spacious with great views. They have a very nice pool area. The breakfast was served in a beautiful restaurant with a terrace but unfortunately there wasn't that much of a choice the coffee wasn't included (extra charge). They also make their own wine and olive oil which I would strongly recommend to try! Because of such special settings they host a lot of different venues (weddings, private parties... Etc) Whilst our visit there was one venue with traditional Sicilian vibe. It was really well organised! Such a beautiful party!

We spent one week in Sicily driving round the island and this two day stay was by far the best bit. The days were spent at the beach located about 10-15 mins by car then we would come back to this lovely vineyard tucked away up in the hills, chill by the pool, shower then drink fabulous Wine and eat wonderful homemade Sicilian food. Marrisa and her team made us feel right at home. If you want some authentic Sicily then this is your place. The Lanzara Syrah isn't too bad either.....

The baglio is a lovely oasis which is almost impossible to find but well worth the twists and turns. We found it by GPS sat nav and still doubted the directions being given to us. The pool is beautiful, it is cold in the morning but warms up in the afternoon. The wine is the finest in Italy, so smooth and easily drinkable. The room we had was alright, Not the best in Italy but it did remind me of a room from an old western and at night with the ceiling painted black it felt like we were sleeping under the stars. Breakfast was good , again typical Italian with bread, cheese, ham etc. the coffee was really good. Dinner is extra at 30 or 35 euros depending if you would like meat or fish. Both are good and the dinner which is typical Sicilian is cooked and designed by the chef so it

Ignore the negative reviews. This is more than a hotel. It is a working vineyard that produces its own wine, has a chapel for weddings on site, impeccable service provided by the owner Marissa and her staff, and is placed on the top of a hill far away enough from civilisation but close enough to get to the beach and shops within 10 minutes and is about 5 minutes from the main road that links Agrigento to Palermo. We received amazing service, and the rooms were clean and tidy, the food was amazing. We had REAL Sicilian food, aperitivos, wine, and a 5 course dinner for 30 euros each isn't too bad really. The local wine was amazing. Everything came with its own little bit of history. Breakfast was a good range of standard Italian breakfast (ham, fruits, fresh produce, pastries) but
