The room was decent size, clean and with a magnificent view on the sea across the road (double room on the ground floor). Off season, the room was a little on the noisy side due to poor noise insulation w the window and door, which I can only imagine must be a nightmare during tourist season, not to mention the road is always full of cars during july and august. That said, for september, this is a nice overnight stop over and the staff are very polite and helpful, and as mentioned the room is totally decent. Breakfast buffet is nothing stellar but it does the job nicely and you can even eat it outside while gazing at the sea. Parking facilities were available either by the hotel or across the road by the wine tasting place. However, I suspect there are a lot less spots available during tourist season. Overall, this place is recommended for good quality/price!

We stayed one night whilst visiting the lovely Banyuls Sur Mer. It was clean comfortable and reasonably priced. Great location to the sea and village. Our room had a sea view which opened onto the balcony. Lovely.

We stayed here after completing GR10 the long distance walk from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean. It's situated a little out of town up a hill so it's a walk in and out of Banyuls itself. I felt the greeting could have been warmer a little more professional. The rooms are fine and are a reasonable size and I think all have a balcony and splendid sea view. The bathroom was really good after staying in some pretty basic accommodation on the walk, it really makes you appreciate a shower with good pressure and one that is fixed to the wall. On arrival and on the card given with the key a wine tasting is highlighted. I found this very confusing as it is held in the hotel but it is not part of the hotel so our decision to use it as a guide for our wine to have with dinner failed as the hotel did not stock the wine we liked. It also seemed impossible to have a separate pre dinner drink. We had booked half board and had invited some other walkers for dinner consequently we wanted to check the menu. We had a good discussion with the manager who could not have been more helpful. The food was very good starting with a particularly good amuse bouche followed by some excellent fish. We were there two nights and were happy to eat there again. Breakfast is a help yourself arrangement which felt like it had been set up to avoid any contact with the guests. There is a choice of foods with both hot and cold drinks. Two nights might be the optimum length of stay, it says it's an hotel but it does have some characteristics of apartments.

If you want panoramic views of the sea and the twinkling of lights at night from the houses scattered up the mountains then this is the place for you. This place is absolutely gorgeous! The hotel itself is situated at the top of hill so there is a climb up from the little village but it is worth the views. The hotel is nice but the 10 euro surcharge for breakfast per person is over the top. The staff were friendly and we were left alone to get on with it which I like. For a few relaxing days it is a paradise. I loved it!

With a bit more of a friendly welcome at reception and a better breakfast this hotel would have been excellent for me. The breakfast was poorly organised with a coffee machine that didn't work properly and looked awful when opened. The staff could have been a little more friendly, a smile goes a long way. However the room was excellent, the hotel facilities were good and I had a great night’s sleep..
