Hotel Lisboa is one of the oldest and most historic hotel in Macau. This is a MUST try if you can visit Macau not only one time. The room decoratin is old style but clean. Room size is large enough for me.My favorite thing is they provide the free drink in the mini freezer. It doesn't cost much but who don't like the small surprise, right? The room is not fashion one because the hotel age is elder than me(built in 1970's) The location of the hotel is the best , the center of Macau. Plenty of nice resturant nearby even there're several nice ones in the hotel. I had eaten twice in the hotel restrurant and the food and the treatment let your experience the Macau history. Also it's easy to everywhere you want to visit from the hotel. There're many public transport just under the hotel. And it's not far away to any place in Macau if you take the taxi. The best experience I had was bought by the hotel staff. They are still treating the customer like the old day. Everyone is kind and helpful. It seems all the staff want to keep the hotel trandition. The hotel itself is a small museum and you can see many collecting antiques and artwork which were collected by the ex hotel owner Mr. Stanley Ho and his family. It's worth to spend several days in Hotel Lisboa and experience the old time of Macau.

My visit with old lisboa started when i think of trying old hotels that is still open til this day. And since lisboa is known for their excellent guest service experience. Arriving at the old lisboa lets your really feel the history of Macau where once a colony of Portugal. You can see a lot of different displays which really differs from the other hotels; the Hotel Lisboa is more like museum rather than a hotel. When you check-in, the Hotel staff have different kind of badges of country flags. I believe that those badges are for the guest to recognize the hotel staff for which language they can speak fluently. Reception staff is very quick with the check-in, and recognized me with my name. She gave me a room right a way after confirming that there is only a smoking room available that time and that the non-smoking room isn't clean yet as i arrived early that day. At the first room, it has a small problem which the bellman solves quickly by calling his colleague to get a new room. A smoking room still. The 2nd room seems fine. but if you really are not a smoker, the cigarette smell inside the room is overwhelming. And when I am about to use the rest room, I get a little disappointed finding a dried out mans pee over the toilet bowl. Making me feel unease, since who wanted a room that is unclean right? Calling the reception for the findings, soon enough the room attendant arrives and made a quick decision for me to change the room once again. After an hour or less, they called me that the non-smoking is ready. (3rd room change) And I am happy to hear that, checked the room and the bathroom. Everything seems fine until i think of getting into the hot tub since the pool or even the gym room isn't open at that time. Unfortunately, another problem arises as the hot tub wont get flooded or even the jacuzzi wont work at all. They tried to fix it for around half an hour so, and was asked if they can stay to fix it for an another hour. So this time, i requested for a room change which at the very least i can use the hot tub to relax. After another half an hour of wait or less, they gave me an upgraded room which i forgot the name if it. This time they made sure that everything is clean and in working order. Well the jacuzzi is still not working, but i still got to relax over the hot tub. Its quite small compered with the Pousada de Coloane boutique hotel. They've given me late check-out til 3pm and a room upgrade for the hassle it brought to us, I think ill give them another chance by checking at the grand lisboa and lisboa palace next time. Overall, staying at the hotel Lisboa is fine. They did what they can do and probably its the effect of the pandemic at this time.

The service is wonderful in Hotel Lisboa. It was my 1st time to stay here with my wife. The whole staff from reception, bellboy and housekeeping staff are really well trained. Luckily I met housekeeping staff YAM. He have great customer service and introduced the hotel facilities and friendly. Minibar also free. I will definitely coming back again. Thank you HOTEL LISBOA for your memorial experience.

Arrived December 31 for the new year. Got 2 rooms for a family of 2. Hotel rate is steep given the holidays. Hotel Lisboa has its own grand aura but pales in comparison to the newer hotels in Macau. The rooms are wide and still functional but unfortunately we were placed in a smoking floor despite our prior request. No Hermes toiletries as reported but the toilet is exceptional. There is even a jacuzzi! Minibar is free and is replenished everyday! We were thankful for the free shuttle to and from the airport. There is the Grand Lisboa help desk in front of the arrival exit. The guy personally assisted us from the airport exit hall to the shuttle bus. He even made us go to the bus first despite the queue. Good job, man! The staff are responsive and very polite. Kudos to the admin and would stay again but maybe on the non-smoking floor.

This hotel is big with multiple entrance and 2 lobbies (East and West wing). Upon arrival, we ushered ourself to the reception counter. The front office lady in red uniform seems not really welcoming as she only entertained chinese speaker guest. When i asked her about taxi fare from lisboa hotel to cotai area, she gave unclear answer. The concierge guy, James interrupts us by saying its 100Mop and then give smirk face to the lady. Maybe they thought I was a newbie traveler and can easily be fooled. This somehow ruin my stay experience. The check in staff, Mr Darryl and Concierge, Mr Anil are the real gem of this hotel. They are really professional, with crystal clear explanation and genuine smile. They made my stay in here memorable. I would say this side of Macau is not for the kids. On the last day we were not able to go to Cotai area due to the taxis and buses were not enough due to the overcrowded people in Macau. If you travel with kids, I strongly suggest to stay in Cotai area as all the theme parks and kids attractions are over there.

This is one of the older 'grand' hotels in Macau. Opulently furnished until it looked cluttered and like a history museum. First impression was no good. We waited for the hotel shuttle bus at the airport but it didnt come. Waited more than an hour before it came. Other major hotels seem to have never ending stream of buses. Lisboa and Grand Lisboa, as far as shuttle buses are concerned, totally pathetic. Hotel has multiple lobbies. Once you located the right one, check in was brisk and hassle free. Hotel deco is certainly dated but kept clean and maintained. Rooms are ample sized and feels luxurious. The shower/bath area has very high tech system which I never got round to understand how it works. Breakfast was alright. Nothing fantastic but nothing to complain about. It gets crowded at times and food can finish very quickly but they do replenish at the regular rate. Casino looks small in comparison to the newer establishments. You can go over to the Grand Lisboa for a bigger and newer casino. Location wise it is good for exploring the non gambling part of Macau. You can walk to almost anywhere in the Macau peninsular. You can wander through the narrow streets and crowded high rise on the west side of the hotel. Shops and restaurants are plentiful within walking distance. Location 5 stars Service 4 stars Room 4 stars Breakfast 4 stars Shuttle bus 1 star Overall 3.5 stars

THE classic hotel in Macao, where it all began back in the 70s. Immaculate lobby with exquisite marble floors and finish work. We booked a standard room which is in the East wing but were upgraded at check in to the Lisboa Tower. Our room had a great view of the front (1st pic is view out our window) and neighboring sister property across the street, Grand Lisboa, a newer ‘Las Vegas’ style hotel. The bathroom was equipped with a shower/jacuzzi tub/steam room, enough controls to launch a rocket, Lol. Room #1345 was spacious, bed a little hard for my liking but still got a great night sleep. Within short walking distance to St. Paul’s Ruins and central shopping district.

There were 10 in our family and we stayed in different room types - Royal Tower Room, Family Suite and Kids Themed Room. We like that rooms were huge and facilities were excellent - love the toiletries, luxurious bedroom slippers, free mini bars and welcome amenities. Buffet breakfast was delicious with a good selection of local and continental breakfast items. We had dinner at Tim's Kitchen onsite and food was good albeit pricey. Location was perfect for our visit to Senado Square, Ruins of St Paul's and the Macau Tower - we were able to make use of public buses as there is a bus station right next to the hotel. It is a short taxi ride of about 15 mins to Cotai Strip. What we found slightly challenging was the fact that our rooms were in different wings and it took us a while to navigate as the hotel was a big maze with shops, eateries and casino within the same building. However service staff were all helpful and friendly so we were always able to ask for assistance and direction. Pillows were a little too hard for my liking but it didn't seem to bother the rest of my family. We were wondering if it would have been nicer to stay at its sister property the Grand Lisboa which looked much grander and newer (we got it mixed up and thought it was the older property), but were happy with our stay at the Hotel Lisboa.

They have great rooms! Well cleaned rooms. But they'll request you a check-in deposit which is refundable upon check-out. The location is just near Senado Square and other tourist spots/restaurant. Also near the bus station, just across the hotel. The only cons is that the location of their gym and pool is too far, though you can you use it for free, you have to walk long from the other side of the hotel (lower ground-west wing- i think).
