Detailed Reviews
The hotel had an excellent position, right opposite the tele cabin. You just have to cross the road and climb the steps. You have your own ski locker.
The rooms are really quite small and a bit basic. I asked if we could have a bigger room but the price was quite prohibitive.
The bathroom was modern and pleasant.
There is a swimming pool but it was a bit chilly. I enjoyed the jacuzzi.
The lounge is large and peaceful and has a lovely log fire.
The breakfast buffet was excellent. You could get omelettes cooked to order and there was plenty of other choice.
We preferred the evening meals when a buffet was available as there was lots of choice. We didn’t enjoy the nights with the fixed menu (with two or three choices) as you couldn’t be sure what you were getting and the chef was certainly quite imaginative!
The staff were all very friendly.
There is a bar which does get very busy. There is also a pub but we never found it open.
They offer ski guiding.

We spent a week at the Tuc Blanc with extended family for a ski trip after 3 years away from the slopes !
The hotel is directly opposite the main ski lifts upto the mountain, has ground floor lockers and a ski hire facility and a shop in the lobby. A friendly bar with a nice sun terrace, small swimming pool and large restaurant .
The rooms were very comfortable and our ‘superior’ room had a large modern bathroom.
The thing that did it for us though was the efficiency of the staff , from the room cleaning, the restaurant staff, the chirpy bar staff and the efficient managers keeping everything on track.
If you fancy hiring a car from Toulouse rather than getting a transfer, the drive is easy and the hotel has a car park.
We loved skiing in Spain and the hotel Tuc Blanc is a very reasonably priced and excellently run hotel, we’d definitely consider returning !

We are a family of 4, and spent a week over Feb half term skiing in Baqueira, staying at Tuc Blanc. We had two interconnecting rooms which worked well (over 12s can’t stay in the duplex option). We found it very quiet at night, no issues at all, couldn’t hear other rooms. We were half board and the buffet breakfast and supper was very good indeed, loads of choice and great quality. There is a lovely big lounge full of sofas (and with a fire) next to reception, as well as a cafe/bar, outside terrace (fantastic when it’s sunny), and decent pool/hot tub area (indoors but with windows so nice and light). I think it’s an amazing 3 star, very good value, and offers a lot. Probably needs a refresh, but then the price would go up! The staff were friendly and helpful, even gave us takeaway lunches when we had to leave super early on our last morning. We flew into Toulouse, about a 2 1/2 hour drive. We did the tapas bus to Vielha one evening (without children) which was great, a gorgeous old town area, really fun visiting some of the tapas bars. The gondola is just across the street, so a bit of walking up stairs to get there but totally doable. We booked everything through Ski Inspired (including my and children group morning ski lessons which were excellent), I very much recommend them as a company, they organised everything,
Baqueira is a great resort, loads of good skiing and options. We had mixed weather (whiteout) at the start of the week but then it cleared up. They could use more (and better) on piste restaurants.
But all in all a great family skiing holiday, and much less busy than Feb half term in French resorts (though still fairly busy). Hardly ever any lift queues. Recommended!

Stayed here during February half term ski season with a family of 5 (and 2 rooms). First time skiing in Spain and Baqueria.
The hotel is pretty much what you would expect from a 3star ski hotel in Europe. The rooms were basic, quite small and roughly decorated. Although there was plenty of wear on the fittings it was clean enough and the shower etc worked well.
What was good was the location, a 5 minute walk to the main lifts, the bar was fun and large and the boot room spacious. Some of the staff were very helpful. When we checked into our non smoking room it smelt like an ashtray and we when we complained the staff were extremely helpful in offering a replacement room and immediately cleaning our room. It was a great response.
What was poor was the main restaurant, reception staff were occasionally rude (clicking their fingers and shouting at us across the foyer to put a mask on) and housekeeping seemed almost non existent on occasion (dirty cup in our room for 3 days until we moved it into the corridor).
The buffet in the restaurant was something we really didn’t like - the quality of the food was often bad and the room itself had all the charm of a sports hall .Brightly lit and not particularly clean. We chose to eat out a few nights and were very glad we did.
I understand the hotel used to have table service and this has been done to save cost. Very dirty toilets by the restaurant too. I expect it has been tough in Covid for ski hotels.
It was also clearly hotel policy not to give you toilet rolls when they ran out (2 supplied). To get new ones you had to ask reception for 2 more. I just don’t understand why housekeeping didn’t replace them every day rather than ask guests to ask reception for more. Pretty demeaning and pointless.
Overall this is a 3star hotel that occasionally dips below standard and the restaurant is especially disappointing. We liked Baqueria a lot and will likely be back but we will almost certainly seek out another hotel in the resort.

We have been staying at Tuc Blanc for the last 13 years with my extended family during Christmas Holidays. The hotel is extraordinary in so many levels. The staff is attentive and caring all the time and feels as if it were a big family. The rooms are all well equipped and with the right balance of luxury and comfort. The location is simply unbeatable, five minutes walking distance to the ski lift and renting shops. It also has a parking garage in case you travel by car and wants to enjoy the fabulous culinary offer that the Val d’aran has to offer. If you want to spend a few days in possibly the best ski resort in Spain at an affordable price with all the comfort, locations and amenities you may need, Hotel Tucson Blanc is your place

We stayed 4 times in this hotel in the last 10 years. We liked this hotel for the location and because of the food (breakfast and dinner). This year we found a dinner buffet (used to be a la carte with delicious and different dishes everyday). We think the food lost some quality and perhaps if we return to this hotel it will be only for the location.

Well, 2nd time, still fantastic all staff amazing, food excellent with more choice than you can imagine.
Merina and Louis in the restaurant are the best ever (Super Stars, made our holiday even better)!!!!
Alison and Yokasta in the bar looked after Tony Macaroni and Mick plus the family all week with a constant smile and fabulous service.
All on reception very very helpful and freindly at all times.
Cross the road to the base lifts chair or gondola and ski back over the road snow permitting.
We have been on nearly 50 ski holidays so you know when you find a gem.
I could go on and on.
Only very small gripe make the pool and hot tub a little warmer.
Hope to see you all next year.

+1
The staff is friendly and courteous. We really feel at home here. My husband and I really appreciate the PR representative who gives a very personal and attentive service. From ski guiding to discovering the local surrounding villages, amenities and restaurants. We always come to Tuc Blanc because the customer service is excellent.

Although we did not stay in the hotel, we used the Hotel Tuc Blanc every evening for our apres-ski drinks and/or snacks. The staff were brilliant and the bar area was cosy and welcoming. It was one of the only bars in the town that was actually open when patrons wanted to use it! We have only good things to say about the hotel and would definitely visit again if we were ever in Baqueira.

I liked the Tuc Blanc. I stayed room and breakfast. My solo room was comfortable and the warm air heating was effective. The breakfast buffet was impressive. Staff were all helpful and friendly. The ski locker room is very convenient - directly off the reception area. The ski lift area is just over the road. The Tuc Blanc also offer a ski-guiding service in the mornings.

If you want we can organice a transfer for you fro, Lleida, Barcelona or Toulouse
This is a good question since there's not much to do in Baqueira. While I do not know the answer to this question, it's worth a call to the hotel to inquire. I found that most people behind the desk were helpful. Be sure to ski with Denis one day (works at the hotel). He is an AMAZING skier and fun guy to ski with. It is NOT the ordinary skiing-with-mountain-guide experience.

They have both rooms (twin and doble bed). You should tell the hotel when you do the reservation.
