We stayed in this hotel last week. We made a last-minute reservation since my mom was in the hospital close by. I am myself General Manager in a hotel in The Netherlands, so I know everything about it. Mother and son Ben are running the hotel. They were so kind!! We are visiting Gera Lario already for 30 years, but were just eating in the restaurant, which is good!! as well. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the lake. Everything you need is in the room. We ordered some drinks to enjoy at our balcony which was all fine and drinks quick and easy prepared. There is so much attention to details in this hotel and everyone from the staff so kind. We will definately come back and recommend this hotel to everyone. True hospitality!!

Stayed for two nights, the staff is very friendly, both hotel and restaurant, the rooms are superclean and functional. It‘s very close to the lake, kite surf school etc. It‘s not exactly quiet because it‘s at the main road but there‘s not really a lot of traffic during night. So overall great value and will come back.

The hotel is nicely situated near the main road and offers parking spots. Beware though they are not reserved for the hotel but in general we didn't have any issue finding parking. Lake Como is literally 2 minutes away from the hotel. The room was simple but extremely clean and very spacious. White bed lining, the clean white. Slept really good there. Our room had a private terrace as well as a public one which was very spacious. The breakfast is very basic and not very tasty. The restaurant on the other hand offer high quality dishes. Had the beef loin which was perfectly cooked. Prices are on the medium - high range but it's expected for the quality. Their Inferno wine from Pietro Triacca is one of the best I had!

Gera Lario is not one of the nicest villages on the lake and there is a lot of traffic on the road through which systematically ignores the 50 km limit. The hotel suffers fro the road noise, though we had a room at the back which wasn't too bad. When we arrived it was all closed up (day off Wednesday). Fortunately someone arrived to open up as it was near the time we said we would arrive. We were the only guests for the night so had a choice of rooms. The one he gave us was not made up, fortunately I caught him before he disappeared home again. New room at the back better. Clean comfortable and modern with a small terrace looking out to the back. Bed was good but not the foam pillow, a bit thin. Nice bathroom. Breakfast average, a little limited, but good coffee. The restaurant was closed for the evening, but this turned out to be a good thing as we were advised to go to, and discovered the ristorante Spluga. So hotel comfortable but nothing special. Wifi a bit weak in our room, needed to be near the door. Good value for €65.

Good and fast service at the reception left a good impression. The room was clean and bright. It was nice that the hotel has an elevator. Street side rooms can disturb a bit of noise coming from the street. The hotel is very close to the lake. A pleasant place for recreation.
