We spent Christmas in the Riviera Maya at the Iberostar Paraíso Del Mar resort. Beautiful place & staff were absolutely wonderful from check in to check out. All staff made our holiday very memorable.
We have stayed at Iberostar in Cozumel (3x) and Iberostar Tucan/Quetzal (5x). We like the food, the style, the staff, the facilities. A few years ago while at Tucan, we got a day pass to Paraiso del Mar so we knew what to expect for the property. It's huge. Be prepared to get your steps in. Like Tucan/Quetzal, the property has a twin, Paraiso Beach. The biggest pool I have ever seen runs between them. The pool winds and curves through lush tropical emaculate landscaping. Iberostar Lindo is the next resort over. You can't eat there but no one turned us away from the wave pool. Iguanas and coati (racoon-looking animal) are abundant in the jungle areas. Good food variey and plenty of choices in places to eat. Every night is a different theme. We ate in the specialty seafood restaurant once (make your reservation when you check in). It was very formal, delicious and was nice for celebratory anniversary dinner. Unfortunately, there was a sargassum seaweed (brown and yucky) which inundated the beach while we were there. Not the reort's fault and they worked diligently with rakes and shovels and machine that looked like a Zamboni called a Sand Rake that drove up and down the beach. Seemed a futile effort as the seaweed just kept coming but I wonder how bad it would have been without doing anything. The pool made up for the lack of nice beach this trip. We spent our time sitting by in under different palapas every day, being IN it (moving around to different areas, hanging out in shallow or deep by fountains and bubbles and waterfalls), having drinks at 3 different in-pool bars. If you liked it more quiet, you could camp out at a palapa far away from music or noise. If you wanted activity, there was a place for you also. And everything in between. We'll be back!…
We (me, my wife and 18 year old daughter) spent New Years week 2019-2020 at Iberostar Paraiso Del Mar and LOVED it. We had been at Iberostar Cozumel 15 years ago and had a great stay and looked forward to Iberostar again. We stayed in a junior suite right on the beach---the beach was our front yard. Fantastic. The all-inclusive was fabulous: the food was uniformly delicious, loving prepared and served, plentiful and varied; the resort is large and shared with Iberostar Paraiso Beach which is nice since you have a wide variety of restaurant choices, very ample room to stroll and have a huge pool. It is a large property but not crowded and they left a lot of the natural jungle in place so walking trails are through trees, with lots of birds and multiple families of coatis and agoutis running around in the woods. We were allowed three reserve restaurant dinners but the concierge was so nice she gave us four and all were well worth it. The New Years show was actually very high quality and fun with a magician, as well as other very talented variety-show fare. We also really enjoyed having Dressel Divers at the resort and spent quite a bit of time SCUBA diving. One highlight we highly recommend for those more adventurous soles is a day trip to the Sian K'aan nature preserve (although note that with traffic through Tulum it is a THREE HOUR each way ordeal). The special New Year dinner was yummy as well. They kept the place, including our room extremely clean and well maintained and the service overall was fantastic: the staff is very plentiful, helpful and uniformly friendly. They go out of their way to help. We are already thinking about our next Iberostar vacation we enjoyed it so much.…
We went before Christmas. group of 9 including 81 years old "Grandma". I did extensive research before booking to make sure my mother in law with limited mobility will have access to amenities. We chose beachfront rooms, from map I downloaded it looks that behind our building there is a restaurant - perfect I tough. When we arrived we booked our a la card restaurants and we confirm the restaurant next to our building is open for breakfast and lunch. To our surprise it was not in the morning and for lunch too. We had to go to next section( the Beach) Not far but for person with limited mobility very inconvenient. Next supersize was the evening - main buffet in our section- closed for dinner- we were directed to the beach section. We complained but no changes for the whole week- we were told that services rotate - i strongly advise that that kind of supersizes should be listed on booking sides. So we named Iberostar Pariso Del Mar section- a ghost section.…
My wife, our 2 teenage girls and my wife's parents just returned from 5 nights at the Iberostar Paraiso Del Mar/Beach resorts. We had a great time and no complaints. Check in - fast and easy Our room was on the 3rd floor of buidling 30 (on the Beach resort side) The room was large and comfortable, the washroom is huge. The balcony looks right over the beach and ocean. The room was cleaned and restocked daily. The resort is huge and at first confusing, but I have found that elsewhere as well. After a day, you are well oriented. They have golf carts that will move you from the top of the resort (lobby) to the beach and there always seems to be a cart waiting for you so you really dont have to walk unless you want to. The grounds are outstanding, beautifully kept with wild animals and birds everywhere. The food was delicious everywhere, whether a'la carte or buffet. The best part of this resort is the staff! The staff here are second to none. The bartenders, servers, bellboys, room cleaners, gardeners etc........all top notch. I want to give a shout out to Jorge at the Del Mar lobby bar, Yuli the Delmar server, Joe the Bellboy and Ernesto the Concierge!! all amazing people who made our trip great. Thank to you all!…
