3 of us friends went in July of 2018. It was not a fancy place but it was worth the budget price we paid. The food was not the best but it was okay. There were locks of rocks and seaweed. We had unlimited drinks and used that to our advantage. Don't go looking for a high class place just a budget friendly alcohol infused good time.

Great hotel . Very good facilities. Room are good but some are older than other I changed room from an older one to a newer one and it looked and felt a lot better. Lots of great staff always willing to help and entertain and serve you. 5 restaurants all fantastic about 10 shops from food and drinks to paintings, clothing. And souvenirs. Night time entertainment team was fantastic and the shows was to some silly fun and game to fun on dancing and singing. Beach is beautiful with the sea crystal clear. Beach with white sand . plenty of day trips to do from underwater walking to an adventure park to Island trips.

Such a great place to unwind. Food was exceptionally good and the staff are lovely. Beach is beautiful and right on your doorstep. We had a really nice room near to the beach. Had a foam party on the beach and also daily aerobics. Special thank you to Luis Dela Rosa, Joseph, Patricia our lovely maid.

The hotel fits the tropical surroundings. Set in beautifully kept gardens. Trees, shrubs, the softest grass areas. Thatch, wood, stone, tile. The outdoors indoors. Red paved pathways throughout. All roads leading to well laid out pouts, particularly the beautiful beach, the well kept VIP area (make an appointment to have a tour inside. It costs nothing but time. I was impressed. An exceptionally beautiful and exclusive area of the hotel. Amir was my guide. Great approach, attitude and understanding of the guest's needs. Overall, the Be Live Collection Hotel Canoa is well done. Yes, it has a lived in feeling and like our own homes there's always going to be something which needs updating. But, on the whole, I felt more relaxed because of this. An open and expansive foyer. Intesting, traditional and modern all at once. The staff I came into contact with worked tirelessly to help the guests have a restful experience (big shout out to Mr Smith, Face Baby, Sonrita, Francesca, DJ Mario, Francoise, Cappuccino, Antonio, Frank, the most accommodating Housekeeper of room 1044 whose name I don't know and the polite young man who took my single case from my room on checkout on a traditional polished brass hotel trolley). Roles easily identifiable by uniforms. Knowledgeable, confident in their skills, respectful, friendly, busy - all in the most beautiful hot sunshine (and occasional short showers - for which each guest has a large white umbrella in the room. So thoughtful). My double room was spacious, clean and peaceful, over looking one of the many gardens around the resort. Woodpeckers, peacocks, ducks, turkeys! 😁 and black, three toed, red headed birds. Small birds, taking their chances, by darting into the large bright open aired buffet dining area. The food was creatively and well done. I was definitely spoiled for choice. No issues with seating, even at the busiest times. I sat in the staff dining area by mistake once and was made to feel welcome. Thanks guys! hasta la próxima vez ☺…

Poor quality room, no seating area, had to bring outdoor table and chairs inside to have a place to sit. Food boring and the same everyday and not very good. Only one place to eat from. The beach, the grounds and the staff were the only nice things here. This was my 3rd time to Dominican Republic, and have stayed at 2 other resorts, both much better. I will not go back to this one, it was not what I expected.
