We stayed as a couple 27 Oct- 3 Nov. From the minute we walked in we loved The Sabila !

We arrived late at night to a warm welcome from Carolina and a welcome drink, a light meal had been placed in our room as we missed dinner due to late arrival and a long shuttle bus transfer. Travelling with easyJet next time we will book a private transfer.
We had looked at Sabila for a long time, we finally took the plunge, and it was well worth it.
I will try to go over the main points if you are considering booking the hotel.

The hotel is Adults Only which we really enjoyed, it is a calm and tranquil oasis if you need a break and some relaxation.
We were on an all-inclusive basis, and we felt it was excellent value for money.

Rooms – Are bright and clean and the beds are so comfortable, the bathroom area is well appointed with a large shower and an array of toiletries. I think our only slight niggle would be the small amount of storage space in the wardrobe, but we always take too much.

We were in 203 at the back of the hotel, the room was quiet, and we weren’t overly bothered by noise from nearby hotels, it goes off at 11pm, we slept so well all week.

The Minibar for all-inclusive guests includes everything except the cava, wine, and nuts! You can also use the pod coffee machine. You can get chilled water and ice out in the hallway.

Food and Drink.

We’ve never had this at a hotel before but there are two sittings for breakfast 7.30-8.30am or 9.15-10.15am.

We opted for early so we could make the most of the day and the glorious weather.

Lunch is 1 until 2.30pm

Again, two sittings for dinner 6.30-7.30pm or 8 until 8.45pm, again we opted for late to enjoy the long day.

The food is excellent at every meal with so many choices, we were never stuck for a choice, but I will echo what other guests have said that food dishes could be hotter. We loved the food no complaints at all we enjoyed every meal .

We didn’t use the Gourmet Market restaurant even with the 50% offer. We felt this was an under-used area that could have offered a fine dining experience to change from the routine of the main buffet restaurant. We never saw many people in it during our stay so maybe it needs a re-think.

Drinks – Drinks were excellent from the wine with your lunch and dinner to the drinks at the bars and pool bar. The quality was excellent and and we had top brands, so I don’t see the difference for those on Star Prestige. The Bar Staff are amazing, we were spoilt rotten and really felt looked after.

We asked about Star Prestige, it was £95 Euro pppd for a Sea view room and special areas in the pool area and the dining room , the roof top pool looked crowded and we felt no point paying for a sea view when out by the pool all day , so we didn’t bother and can’t understand why other guests rave about it.

The Hotel was immaculately clean and has a wow factor, again yes some of the carpeted areas near rooms could do with a refresh but this is a busy hotel. We loved the boutiques near the Main restaurant and the different stalls that popped up each day selling all sorts of lovely items.

Entertainment. - Evening entertainment never bothers us but what we heard was great, particularly the Elton John Tribute. Day time activities were varied if you wanted to break from your sun lounger.

Pool Area is gorgeous, do people reserve sunbeds yes of course they do, it makes me laugh but there were spare sunbeds to be found.

Other reviewers didn’t like the aqua aerobics or loud music, but it was only for 45 minutes then you knew it was nearly time for lunch.

We enjoyed the afternoons around the pool on different days there was a Sax Player, Spanish guitar player, a duo and a DJ playing chilled tunes loved them all.

Pool Bar Staff Marina and Federico to name but two were just lovely and made fab cocktails and worked so hard with other team members to keep guests hydrated.
Another nice touch was when pool bar staff came round with ice-creams to treat the guests.

We didn’t use the Pool Bar restaurant as it was not part of the all-inclusive so can’t comment on what was on offer.

Finally, I must pay tribute to the Staff, they really are the Sabila’s greatest assets. Friendly, welcoming and cannot do enough for you; they look so smart and professional in pristine uniforms, and it was a joy to see the pride they have in their work.

This is just a lovely hotel in all respects, we had a wonderful time and came home relaxed and refreshed, we are already looking to go back next year!

We had a fabulous holiday from 20th - 27 th December - we will definitely recommend this hotel! We have stayed in many different hotels in this area for Christmas holidays, some of them are very grand and quite expensive. Hotel Sabila seemed good value for money but I was a little anxious booking as we usually stay nearer the Del Duque area. We booked Half board with the Star Prestige package, this was the best decision for us as Star Prestige made this holiday that extra bit special. It really was superb. We had room 613 , Double Room, on floor 6 , which is top floor. We liked this side of the hotel as when sat on balcony we looked over the top of the low rise hotel next door, had Sea Views to our left plus views across Adeje with mountain views to our right and all very quiet. In the evening our views were of all the twinkling lights from hotels and apartments and it was all very quiet. This room is on shaded side of hotel but we much preferred the views from this side . We had bottle Cava and some foodie treats in our room on arrival, free bottle water every day and fresh pool towels in our room every day . The Star Prestige facilities are also on floor 6 so it was just short walk from our room along carpeted corridor to the Star Prestige area which offers self service soft drinks , coffee etc mixers ,alcohol and good selection of sandwiches , wraps, salads and cakes : we loved this area and it provides direct access to the Star Prestige sun terrace and to the amazing Star Prestige rooftop infinity pool. We spent most days sunbathing by this pool, the panoramic views were stunning, sunsets superb and we were lucky to get sun beds there every day. You can see from the hotel photos Sabila has modern decor and is immaculate. Breakfast and evening buffet excellent, the Star Prestige dining area seemed quieter . We enjoyed one meal at the Gourmet Market and it was excellent. The hotel lifts are very quick and the wide spiral staircases are carpeted , there is a side gate near the main pool area which provides guest access down to the long promenade , to shops and bars etc you turn left to walk to Porto Colom beach area etc and you turn right to walk down to the Del Duque area which is lovely, and offers plenty places to sit and admire sea views, with a modern shopping centre with designer shops and few cafes. We have just had a fabulous relaxing holiday with great weather and we have to thank the Star Prestige Reception staff and the lady from Guest Services as they all made our week away so perfect. We have lovely memories. Star Prestige exceeded our expectations and we would love to return to do it all over again...Thankyou Iberostar Selection Sabila

When we arrived everything look good. Booked in offered a drink which was welcome. Formalities done went to our room closely followed by our cases. Staff were very good and nothing was too much trouble. We went to explore the hotel and loved the pool area. We then went back to our room to get changed for dinner shower was very good with decent products. On entering the restaurant was met with hand sanitiser which i think is a big plus, First thing for a 5 star there was no one to take you to a table or give you any direction round the buffet. Don't know if there was any signs i didn't see any if you have allergies if there is they need to be MORE prominent. Also not enough signs telling you what the food is. I have a shellfish allergy so there was quite a bit i couldn't eat because i didn't know what there was. Once again the staff were great. The following days as we walked around it became aware that although the hotel was refurbed i think 18 months ago as some one who has worked on big refurbs i don't think they got value for what must have been a considerable amount . I will give it another 5 years and it will really look its age. The entertainment although not to bad the area they perform is dreadful. We spoke to the entertainment team and they told us they tried in different areas but nothing works. i honestly feel for the acts there on to a loser before they start. The biggest problem for us was sitting in the lobby bar and seeing a giant screen showing other hotels going brighter and darker if anybody suffers from epilepsy this is certainly a NO NO. We went A/I the quality of food and drink was good. In finishing would we go again yes but half board theres plenty of restaurants outside from cheap to expensive. We spent in excess of £3000 did we get value hotel and accommodation were fine as i said the food and drink was okay but you can get better and cheaper outside. This is the reason i only gave 4 stars.

Booked hotel after reading reviews to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary and had been really looking forward to 5 star treatment. Arrived in the sand storm so not a good start. Had booked all inclusive Star Prestige seaview room. Was shown to a room where if you loooked over the balcony you could see the sea, told Prestige receptionist not happy and she said it was a seaview room not a side view but could show us a better one, which she did and we moved to 503 still not a perfect seaview but a lot better. The rooms do look very nice but on close inspection you can tell not the best quality, 3 hairline cracks in one washbsin, door to bathroom runner fell off. This was reported to main reception, nothing done, so reported again and they said had been a misunderstanding thought we had a problem with wardrope door. Someone did come to fix it while we were out but not fixed properly so had to leave door open as could not close it . Star Prestige Lounge on roof top very small more than two people trying to get drinks and it was difficult. Sunbeds very close together also the floor under sunbeds by door had holes in it another sign not top quality goods used. Food definitely not 5 star poor quality sausage and bacon for breakfast and quite often meat not cooked sufficiently (raw in parts) not much variety from day to day and cold plates so by the time you got to your table food was cold. Also the lack of information is very annoying, before flying we received an E Mail from Jet2 about the Star Prestige sunbathing area by the main pool would be closed for repair but we would be okay to use rooftop and spa area. Asked about this when we arrived and was told no everything fine. It was closed we could see the workmen there, asked about spa are reception didnt know anything about being able to use it. Luckily ladies in the spa area did and we managed to spend a few days there. On our last day went to spa area and were not there long before workmen came and started removing the bar to put back in the Star Prestige area, No notification that this was happening. As previously stated it was our golden wedding anniversary and my husband ordered flowers at reception. These were delivered to the room and I was really pleased with them but thought it would have been a nice gesture if management had left a note of congratulations. The only plus side of this hotel is the waiters, entertainment team who work extremely hard and the room cleaners.

The Iberostar Selection Sabila is a very clean modern comfortable hotel with friendly helpful staff and a vast choice of excellent food. At breakfast there is at least 7 choices of fruit juice or smoothies. The buffet has a selection of fresh fruits, yogurts , breads, cakes, cereal and a full English breakfast. Omelette’s , fried or poached eggs are cooked fresh to your liking. The evening buffet has a different daily made appetiser. Soup, multi choice salads , meats and cheeses. An Italian selection of Pasta’s, sauces and pizza’s. An Asian selection, a Sushi selection, a Spanish selection of three types of paella . A choice of freshly cooked fish, meat and all the side dishes of fries or vegetables . The desserts are so varied from fruit, cakes, tarts, various ice creams to a chocolate fountain. Something for everyone. The bedrooms are spacious, comfortable and have a safe, ironing board, iron, mini fridge, kettle, coffee making machine, daily bottled water, dressing gowns and slippers. There is an ice machine on every floor next to the lifts. The four lifts have a unique way of getting you to the level of choice without long delays. The surrounding pool area is well maintained with comfy padded loungers and parasols with free beach towels. They have daily activities on around the pool. They came around each day with a complementary drink. All the staff in the hotel were so helpful and friendly with great service. This is the best Spanish hotel we have stayed at and I would no reservations about coming back to stay again.

This hotel is beautiful and has been refurbished to an exceptional standard . We stayed in a basic double room , which had an amazingly comfortable bed . The room included use of safe and fridge . It also came with coffee machine and kettle . Each floor had ice machines on the corridor and an ice bucket was provided in your room. The rooms are beautifully decorated in neutral tones and there is adequate storage space . The breakfast buffet was great and evening meal was lovely always hot and plenty choice for all tastes . If you have a sweet tooth the desserts on offer were the best I’ve ever experienced in any hotel buffet . Most of the staff are very friendly and aim to please . The downside for me was the pool bar , the tables were left with ashtrays full of ash and cigarette butts . There was no waiter service which I would expect in a 5 star hotel . I had to queue up for a drink and then be given a plastic glass when sitting at a table . The staff had a poor attitude and seemed to give nuts and crisps to people when they could be bothered. This doesn’t happen at the other 5 star hotels I’ve stayed in or some 4 star . I’m aware you can upgrade for 35 euros per person for use of the roof top pool with drinks included but as we don’t really drink that much it wasn’t worth it , however I still expect better service than was on offer . We found going out the back gate turning left and at the end is a cocktail bar called fresh that serves amazing drinks super cold beer with great service and at a fraction of the cost . I think this area needs addressing as it is quite poor .

Check in was slow and drawn out it took over 20 minutes when i complained i was told it was due to covid which is understandable but they could have offered a cold drink or even a smile.

The room was quite small with the balcony facing a busy road but it did seem to be well insulated and we heard very little noise. The room had very little storage so we lived out of our cases. The wifi was ok but sometimes it did seem to be overloaded and you had to wait to log in. The air con was good as was the shower which had a very powerful rainfall action. There is a bluetooth speaker system built into the ceiling which was nice. For water in the room you can fill a carafe from a dispenser beside the lifts it certainly saves on the plastic bottles but how safe it is during a pandemic I am not so sure.

The food could not be faulted it was excellent throughout our stay as was the service which was very good. i found the wine with your meal was overpriced and strangely they charged for water. It was the first time i have seen a open buffet style since the beginning of the pandemic they do say that they change the serving tongs every 15 minutes but i would ensure that you sanitised your hands before eating.

The entertainment was very hit or miss and with the open plan lobby it was sometimes very hard to get a seat but i must mention the Elton John tribute show which was very good. The drinks were very overpriced considering what you could find within a short walking distance of the hotel.

For me the big drawback of the hotel was the pool with sunbeds packed tightly together if you wanted shade and to put a brolly up it would be your neighbours who ended up in the shade. To avoid this you could try to get a sunbed on the edge of the area but although empty many were covered in towels. the hotel has a 45 minute policy where towels should be removed but this was never enforced. I even witnessed one English gentleman putting towels out so early it was still dark! T

My sister and I (early 40s and early 50s) came away for a 4 night break to get some sunshine in the winter, and this hotel did not disappoint, after we got over the original hurdle of a bad check in experience. Due to the hotel being busy, they had closed the Star Presitge dedicated check in, and we joined the queue with everyone else ( and remained for about 30 mins), before we reached the front, and they then took us to the Star Presitge reception, where we were immediately given a glass of bubbles!

With Star Prestige you get access to the Star Prestige pool, which has great views, and open bar ( tea/coffee/beer/Softdrinks 24/7, Cava/Wine/spirits 12 - 6, snacks 10:30-6), and it generally felt much calmer. The sunbeds were also very comfortable, we found it value for money.

The rooms are spacious and it's great having a water bottle to refill from the filtered water machines in the corridor. BBC channels on the TV.

Breakfast choice is one of the best that I have had, and the restaurant is great, as is the evening buffet, if you choose to eat in. Drinks are also a reasonable price.

Location is great, access onto the beach walkway from the hotel, where there is a complete mix of restaurants price range, and you can get whatever you need. Supermarkets/shops also within a couple of mins walk.

One request I would have is that the pool for Star Prestige is opened before 9am. There was often a queue for it to open, and many of us would then be on the sunbeds from 9am, so a slightly earlier start would be great. Also its the old age problem of people reserving sunbeds, and then not using them.... something needs to be really be done about that... but again not the hotels fault as such, people just maybe need to learn manners!

Stayed here 22-29 December. We were all inclusive with star prestige and could not fault the holiday. We have been to Tenerife many times and done most tourist things and this was a week of pure indulgence. We had no plans to leave the hotel and didn’t all week. On one hand terrible but everything we needed was here. We didn’t use the top floor pool as too crowded and I don’t like being on top of people but the other prestige terrace was much more roomy. The hotel is very clean and like others say was the most welcoming staff I have seen in any hotel. Prestige gives you everything you need with all the water you need, very good wines, drinks choice, which were very generous in measure. We had a great sea view from our room and enjoyed sitting there when we came up from the pool or at the end of the evening. We occasionally went to the upper area for a tea or a snack but were very happy with the service provided at the terrace.

We would come back to this hotel and would also go to another Iberostar as they impressed us.

We travelled with Jet2 and were very happy with them and especially the resort check in for luggage on the last day

Just returned home after a fabulous week away at this hotel in Costa Adeje. The hotel looks as if it was only built yesterday. It is so very clean and tidy. The facilities are excellent. We didn’t bother with the Star Prestige offering but we did choose rooms with a sea view. The Star Prestige would have allowed access to a few small exclusive areas but we didn’t feel these were any better than the main facilities. The dining room is large and spacious and the food was excellent. We were there on a half board basis and the amount of choice and the quality of the food at both breakfast and dinner was superb. It was some of the best food we have ever experienced in a hotel even though it is buffet service. The staff throughout the hotel were extremely pleasant and friendly without being too intrusive. They were all practicing good hygiene due to the pandemic and we didn’t see any staff without their face masks. The main swimming pool is large with a variety of depths and some smaller side pools incorporated. There were always plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas. There is some good gentle pool based exercise and entertainment organised each day. We do not know how full the hotel was but it was certainly not crowded at any time during our stay (the week before most school’s half term). It is also very pleasant being an adults only hotel. The hotel is about a 200m walk to the main beachfront promenade which is lined with lots of cafes and shops. There are three or four good sandy (greyish) beaches within easy walking distance. The local public bus service is excellent and reaches all around the island. Car hire seemed expensive but we understood that car stock was limited as many firms had let cars go during the lock down for covid. The bedrooms have a kettle, coffee machine, hair dryer, ironing board and iron provided. There are the usual soaps and shampoos in dispensers in the bathroom. The TV provides the usual free to air channels (BBC1, BBC2 and BBC news). There is Netflix on the TV as well if you have an account. The Wi-Fi is fast and accessible from all the rooms and also outside around the pool. There is a small gym with a reasonable choice of equipment. If we were to visit Tenerife again then this is the hotel we would use.
