We were at Champagne Castle Hotel 44 years ago for our honeymoon. We have been back many times. It’s still a special hotel. No other, no better. Nestled at the foot of the mountain it offers superior walks and glorious views. Safe and well laid out trails for everyone, young snd old. The food has always been first class. 3 massive high quality buffets per day with tea and scones mid morning and afternoon. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Rooms are always being upgraded and good. Most important today is the excellent value for money. Well done to the management and staff who make this happen.

A restoring, healing three days in an excellent hotel with the most outstanding mountain views. Delicious and varied meals, attentive and very well trained staff and careful observance of Covid regulations. The gardens are very well maintained and throughout the buildings and on walks, there are handrails for the more mature. We were last there 53 years ago on honeymoon- thank you for more memories.

We had a wonderful time at Champagne Castle. The staff were friendly and very efficient. Mohamed, the chef, was amazing! The food was great. Two things I'd suggest is having a bar fridge and aircon in the rooms as this is expected from a 5 star hotel.

As mentioned the food was a highlight, the walks great and the room comfortable. The staff very friendly . It was cold at that time with snow, so the bar with fire and good wine and company special. There are beautiful hikes and lots of curio, coffee shops(not that one needs it) in the vicinity of the hotel. The Chocolate factory is up the road and is worth a visit. Overall the stay was comfortable and is a place of peace.

Thank you for taking the time to post your review, Eugene. The snow was a highlight for everyone. It's not often we have snow at the Hotel, and while it was short-lived it was a treat. You're quite right that there is so much to do in the Champagne Valley, should you feel like an adventure. We are fortunate to have so much to choose from, on our doorstep. Thank you staying at Champagne Castle Hotel. We look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit to this part of the Central Drakensberg
