First trip to genting and the experience is so nice, warm welcoming at the lobby, and also thanks for providing birthday surprise my dad and aunt, espcially christy, neelca, chee soon, lichen and yike
The room and and staff are superb. The view from hotel room is spectacular. Worth the money. The car park is quite confusing. The brakfast is highly disappointing. Sausage and hashbrown are cold and tasteless. Ham is cold and hard. The dimsum set is not less disappointing. Complimentary muffin put on the table is also hard. Seems like it’s been there for few days. This breakfast does not fit 5 star hotel at all. Could only consume the english breakfast set less than quarter of the portion. Need serious improvement on this area
We had a fantastic experience from the moment we arrived till the moment we checked out. The butler service was superb. Thank you to Ms Kha Kha and her professional team. The junior suite we had was big, well designed, well equipped and super clean. The encounter was beyond our expectations.
Everything was good and room very clean THE BAD THING is I was requested late check out 2pm and the staff alrdy committed but at around 1230pm the duty manager come and knock my room without any permission go strictly to my room. Because I thought the knocking sound was the connecting door so I juz Ignore the sound. When I check out ,I was asking the staff can the duty manager directly enter the guest's room like this? The staff explain to me they will call the guest to double check whether the guest is checkout now , extend stay or late check out . The staff told me that they alrdy call but not answer. But I didn’t receive any call or the room call from the hotel very outrageous. Impressive hotel design and facilities, complete with good hardware but software lacking. Arrival experience was marred by no staff at main entrance, no valet, no doorman, no concierge. I had to leave our car randomly at main drop off and walk all the way into reception check in counter to seek help. Staff were generally exceedingly lovely which made up to the gross shortage of service staff expected. Pre check in was done and luggage handled with early check in thoughtfully arranged for our baby's convenience. Upon collecting room key post pre check in again there was NO STAFF. Only 1 staff attended another person and walked away with the customer leaving me standing there while there are a few staff walking past with greeting. I was wet from the skyworld trip and exhausted and annoyed. Whats the point of greeting with no real service rendered? I made known that i was displeased not to be attended to again and only then was immediately serviced. Is Crockford only going to attend bloggers and celebrities or panels of judge from Forbes? Im surprised at this level of service. No turn down service, steam in the bath was not functioning. Room was lovely. There was tiniest of macaroon treat. Room service was prompt. NO in room dining menu i wonder if its available. Most inconvenient. No on ground restaurant that actually operates past breakfast. Club restaurant not open unless on fridays saturdays. When i ask for dining recommendation i was referred to something akin to fast food with baby in tow ouch! THIS is not CURATED level of service expected of Crockfords. On the day of checkout some nice staff gave the kids some teddy bears and on this day some management staff here, I had a total of more than 6 person assisting me. Lovely. But more consistent level of service would be great. However what totally put me off was the worst big breakfast ive seen in my life! check out the photo attached they put the poach egg in a rice bowl in the middle of the plate! Absolutely disgraceful! It is not acceptable. Totally looked and tasted like somehting crockfords scooped off a line of 2 star buffet from fellow genting hotels? French fries in big breakfast? Dont get me started on the lack of green and sauce expected with poached egg like bernaise would be nice. You got to be kidding me to be on Forbes list. I had a slightly more decent choice of lobster nasi lemak, albeit tiny morsel of it but good. Totally do not see past the 4 options of breakfast in the menu and no low gluten or any other options Crockfords professed to be tailoring to. Not to mention any option available for in room breakfast too. No attention to detail, i requested for Cot but no one bothered during booking. Ive been to many hotels across the world which will not overlook such important request. I was so tired i cramped the baby into our bed and needless to say didnt have such a good night. And even that i read somewhere even a cot is chargeable? Parking in Genting has always been most put off and not the most sanitary. While not all of us are very eager to let valet drive our car amidst a plethora of diseases Crockford would do well to zone off a section of parking for self park guest. Do you value only valet paying guest ? Im booked to stay again in October and i hope to see some improvement.…
