Room was clean and cozy. Room comes with 2 super single bed, coffee and tea maker. Not the most TV channel you can get but the available available selection are good enough. Like the shower pressure. Ideal location for a weekend out of the busy city.

We booked suite room during raya holiday,all the facilities are great,furniture and all are like new,amenities are great,cant ask for more, but it seems they are short of people as the queue in the reception are long and it took some time when u call room service In terms of location,u need to walk about 10-15min to go to sky casino/sky ave complex

After nearly 3 years and decided to stay at Highlands Hotel since there was discounted price for RWS member. But, what it got me really is disappointing. Maybe that’s the biases side as discounted price was for deluxe & premier room and hence no effort is done to maintain the room at all. Super run down and no hygiene in place at all. These are what I found though out my stay there. 1. Check in through self-help kiosk. First of a kind given it’s a 5 star hotel. Unsure why they do not want to provide front desk services. Maybe it was due to the fact that those under deluxe and premier rooms are allocated for RWS members who can redeem the room through the RWS point system or paid at a discounted price. Hence, it’s call what you pay for is what you get. No dedicated service is required except when you want to make changes to the room beds (e.g. from king to single bed and vice versa). However, if you have booked a suite room, you do have a dedicated counter for you to use and be checked in by the hotel staffs themselves personally. 2. Dirty bathroom. I had first checked in and was given a room with dirty bathtub and shower area. The capsules of facial foam was left behind by the previous guest or maybe before that in the shower area. No effort in clearing it or thoroughly cleaning them up. The bathtub, it’s by far the dirtiest that I have ever seen. Marks of dirty stains are left in the bathtub. I had to perform housekeeping by myself to remove whatever is in the toilet and did a round of cleaning up for the shower area, bathtub and toilet bowl at the end. Really disgusting to the max. and given the condition of the covid virus existence, no extra effort was given to make sure the hygiene standard is there. 3. Usage of the shampoo, shower and hand wash really was a painful experience. I wondered whether did the bathroom facility team in charge ever personally used the bottles. One person has to use up all the strength to squeeze out minimal portion of the liquid. My hand hurts as I’m typing this review out right now. I really don’t understand where is the logic in using those kind of bottles at all. 4. Room floor was not vacuumed and cleaned at all. Strands of hair can be seen on the floor and when I stepped on the non-carpenter floor, it’s as if my shoes are stuck to the floor. Yes, it’s that sticky. Horrendous!! I did saw the cleaning staffs pulling the vacuum along but was it even being used? 5. For the beds, they seems fine since I just keep an eye close as the rooms were fully booked and no chance in having the room changed for the night. Overall experience, horrendous and super nasty experience. Would I recommend or consider staying in this hotel again? NO! Not a chance! To be honest, this hotel should not even be qualified for a 5 star rating. It’s deceiving the hotel stayer. This hotel really requires a full overhaul of the hotel rooms with renovation.

Front Staff service and attitude is very bad. Escalation to their manager is required. Been told to wait for messages to come back to front desk for room key. But no messages received after waited 3 hours.

We stayed in one of the executive suites, self-paying. Our stay coincided with a long weekend, so the hotel was full. However I do not think this is an excuse for having rude/ nonchalant staffs: 1. Only 3 counters were open. We were told that our room was not ready despite us checking in at 3.45pm; 2. No further information given, eg where we can wait or what time it will be ready (there were many like us, just sitting at wherever they can eg on window ledges and on the minimum chairs they have set up. There is limited waiting area in the Lobby). When we asked if they can contact us when the room is ready "oh, you want us to call you?"; 3. They allowed us to use the lounge during the wait, but offered no explanation on where it is. We brought our luggage up to Level 18 where we met other employees who are not interested in helping us to locate the lounge (just pointed finger lazily without a word. Wayfinding signages is poor too); 4. Thank God there is a young chinese lady at the lounge whom is very friendly and helpful. It made our day (you really need more employees like this); 5. Check out offers similar experience. 4 personnel at the 3 counters, all busy looking at monitors or phone or discussing among themselves (I was the only one in front of the counter). None looked up to acknowledge me until I made a remark about how long I have been waiting); 6. Questions about your stay will likely be unanswered as the system is fully automated. None of the contact numbers worked, or they will be directing you to their website/ chatbots. The hotel is nicely decorated. Room is quiet, amenities are acceptable and of good quality, the beddings are comfortable. The hotel is connected to the main malls conveniently via internal walkways. Some human touch will make the experience a much better one.

Check in was okay around 11am. Was assigned to deluxe twin room even though request for king sized. It is okay since receptionist said it is "quite full". The room look old and realised the bath tub drain stopper was stuck. Happened housekeeping was outside so asked then to take a look. After checking, he said will ask maintenance dept to come take a look. Waited for 20mins no one came. Called reception desk, she mentioned no one reported. OMG!!! Finally a maintenance guy came and said cannot be fixed so asked us to request change room. Which we did and was told no room to change at this moment as guests check out 12noon so most probably 1pm will have room. How can a big hotel no room to change? But nevermind we waited in the room till 2pm. Called reception desk, no one picked up for 5mins. Pissed we packed all our belongings and went straight to reception desk. They are issuing rooms to other people instead. The receptionist never apologise for the inconvenience caused. Jus straight away assigned a new room immediately. What kind of attitude is this? We been waiting from 11am till 3pm for nothing. No upgrade of room given. If we do not go down then imagine how long we still need to wait. Wasted my half day. Pls do not stay in this hotel. Not worth at all with this room charge I will rather stay in other hotels.

Rooms are excellent! Nothing to say, just excellent! Hotel staffs are helpful. Housekeepers are so good! I put a note to say thanks n tip them, they replied! 🤣 I have some dolls that I got from Dolls Catcher, They set it up on purpose! I like their effort to do that! Keep up! I have a good experience on breakfast. I stay for 4 Nights and I ate breakfast for 3 days. I just need more menu and more option for buffett please, Fruit Platters would be nice. The staffs are actually pretty helpful. Badrul, Alex, and Fitri are really helpfull! They remember what I want.

Stayed here from 21-23 Oct in room 16320. It’s been years since I came to Genting. With a toddler around, we looked for a bigger room to stay. Thus booking the executive king. Which is one of the best decisions we made. Room were very clean and comfortable. Came with a nice view of the cable car and mountains. The executive king comes with a bathtub which is so good for family with children. Because they do enjoy the warm soak in the cold weather. Bellboy was very welcoming when we arrived and helped us with our luggage to the room. Front desk were very nice and welcoming as well. I mean I don’t really set my expectations high because I checked in at 2.30am lol. But they were really accommodating and happy to help us. The only downfall was the breakfast. As our toddler was 18months old, they charge 70rm for another portion of food. Which I think can be looked into kids/child meal(like crocksford) where children below 5 have a small portion of chicken/plain porridge given. That will be best. I mean it’s not about the money, but it’s about charging a full portion and have to waste the whole remaining porridge for the little portion I take from it to feed my child. Or they could perhaps start a kids meal that we can pay for. Other than that, all is good. We stayed both crocksford and highlands this October Deepavali holiday. I will choose highland hotel at any day in terms of service and the mere size of the room for the family. We will be staying again in December holidays and we can’t wait!

Newly renovated and clean room. However, for those who are light sleepers, do note that the sound proofing is poor in the room due to thin walls (not concrete) and connecting doors. Especially if the room next door is noisy. No breakfast available.
