Stayed recently and we were really impressed by the customer service displayed by the staff …nothing was a problem. The receptionist with the blonde hair ( sorry I have forgotten your name) was so helpful and welcoming. Food really good especially the breakfasts. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and social distancing was adhered to everywhere in the hotel making us feel very safe. Highly recommend
We stayed here for two nights on our road trip staycation in Donegal. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean and on the small side of average sized but grand for just a couple of nights. The bathroom and shower were clean and good water pressure. As guests we could eat indoors which was great as one evening there was a sea fog down and outside would have been uncomfortable. Food was served in the bar and on the first evening was very good but on the second evening I had the Fish and Chips which was not good at all, the chips were soggy and the batter on the fish was one of the worst I have ever seen and tasted. It looked like it was deep fired in dirty old oil! And tasted like it looked… Breakfast was very good, though the continental was light on variety (possibly due to COVID like most hotels) but the cooked breakfast menu had plenty on it. WiFi did not barely extended to our bedroom, one spot on the bed got it. So only four stars for the WiFi and the horrible fish and chips. A pity for a very nice hotel with very good staff.…
Have just stayed for three nights here, wonderful staff who were so helpful, friendly & professional. Receptionists were top class with advice on where to visit etc. Food was super, we had dinner on the three nights at the hotel...breakfast was also very good. Staff made sure covid regulations were adhered to. Hotel could do with a little revamp but this did not stop us enjoying to the full our stay and would highly recommend.
Have called in before for the great Sunday Roast Dinner but now also experienced the delightful breakfast. Omelette and Salmon dishes were excellent. A charming, quaint, traditional hotel in a superb location. Professional, friendly service and lovely Guinness.
Hadn't been to McGrory's for over a year. Loved the new outdoor dining section. Late evening sun was an added bonus and we were in a lovely sheltered spot. Food as good as ever, and the Guinness was divine. Can't wait to be allowed into the bar again, and no I'm not barred, just visited on the wrong side of indoor dining!
