I love this resort. It has a 80,s feel It's out and away from the gold coast city and it only 3 stories high and set amongst the palm trees which gives you that gold coast holiday feel It's very clean and they grounds are well keeped. The only down side is the restaurant bad service and food not great.i sent a message to the HM about his restaurant but he couldn't even bother to reply. We stayed a week here

This hotel is located on a golf course in a fairly quiet road in Carrara. I personally like the location away from the beach and the noise. I am scoring this as the Mercure Hotel- not Accor Vacation Club. We are a Accor Vacation Club member and stayed one night in a regular hotel room at the Mercure before moving into a Accor Vacation Club room the next night and where we stayed for the next 6 nights. The hotel room was in one block and the AVC room in another newly renovated block. We had come from the UAE where everything is impeccably clean and tidy and quite opulent and initially we were very disappointed with hotel room we had as it was quite dated and old. It was just a room that we couldn’t wait to get out of as paint missing, worn down, stained toilet floor, old bathroom. Actually nothing nice about it. Thank goodness, the beautifully renovated AVC room was lovely. Modern, new, clean with comfy furnishings. The bathroom was lovely and we really could not fault the room. Our outlook from our balcony was down the path as unfortunately we did not get the apartments with the ‘rural’ view. We ate in the restaurant twice and the food was very good. I was not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. Well priced, tasty and friendly staff. The parking was easy. Underground which is good with the heat. Nice to get into a coolish covered car. The pool that was near the block where we were (the smaller one) is not heated and very plain. Nothing enticing at all and a pool that I only had one quick swim in and would not bother swimming in again. The main pool is heated which was nice. But the area around the pool is tired. A couple of the umbrellas were very moldy with black patches all over them. There is a small shipping container they use as a bar? Right beside the pool. There appears to be no disguising it at all and it is quite ugly. There are tiles and grout missing from around the actual pool. There does not seem to be much effort to make this a nice, classy area which it could be quite easily. The entrance to the hotel also had dirty looking grout between the tiles. The entrance certainly needed a spruce up. I had had a friend who had stayed here from New Zealand. She told me what a great deal she got and the rooms and facilities were adequate for what they paid. When we were there, the specials were still to be had and I felt that the hotel was more like a ‘second cousin’. It was feeling a little like it needed some TLC especially if our initial hotel room was anything to go by. Our second Accor Vacation Club apartment was really lovely but I really do not think the public areas represent the Accor Vacation Clubs level of expectation at all.

This is our favourite accommodation on the Gold Coast. The attitude of all the staff here is fantastic, nothing is too much trouble, and everyone just wants to make sure the guests enjoy themselves. From checkin on arrival through to lunches at the bar area, to dinners in 'The Green' restaurant, through to checkout on leaving - everything is just about making sure the guest is happy. Highly recommended.

The Green Room . The food is good but in saying that my friends stake was NOT 200grams, I wish I had scale, his dish had 2 small cherry size tomatoes, and a small serving of chips. Not good enough for the $47 odd price. Will eat elsewhere in future, if we go back.

Booking for the Gold Coast Classics Baseball tournament through Booking.com turned into an unexpected adventure when the association altered the dates due to weather conditions. Despite the hiccup, Mark from reservations at the hotel proved to be a beacon of assistance. His amiable demeanor and dedication shone through, even within the constraints of third-party booking policies. Mark not only reassured a comfortable stay but also flexibly adjusted reservations to accommodate the shifted event dates. Admittedly, the limitation of changes through a third-party booking became apparent, prompting a downgrade on Booking.com for a smoother three-night stay. Upon arrival, Mark's understanding and patience resonated as he left a considerate note for the Guest Service Agent (GSA), urging an upgrade to our original booking if the desired room was available. The check-in experience with Sophie, who seamlessly executed Mark's instructions, deserves commendation. Having chosen this hotel for the same event in 2023, it has undoubtedly become a preferred sanctuary. The comfort of the beds, the delightful restaurant staff, and the ever-smiling Guest Service Agents contribute to the establishment feeling like a home away from home. Expressing gratitude for the positive experiences, there is anticipation for future stays, albeit with a resolution to book directly for greater flexibility. The hotel's consistent charm and the dedicated team, exemplified by Mark and Sophie, make it a compelling choice for our return.

Stayed here for 4 nights during the Christmas period. Overall satisfied but would expect more from Mercure. The room was spacious but decor was dated, in need of TLC. The safe in our room wasn't working, I called the reception to get it fixed but it did not work. Not sure if they ever came to the room to fix it but definitely not during our time in the room. The biggest disappoint was the main pool. The water was quite filthy being murky and your fingers would get tangle with hair in the water. My son got an ear infection after this trip. Plus there weren't any supervision over the pool, so lots of people were byo drinks and food at the pool area. Leaving the place quite messy. The location is about 20-30 mins drive to Surfers and the theme parks. Is not convenient if you don't have a car.

Overall a great place to stay with families, for a wonderful experience over the holiday period. Breakfast is good - with an array of fruits, hot food, crossaints, coffees and cereals. The bar food could be more generous. Our pizza for $30 was very small. But it was nice. We always enjoy staying here. Parking is a bonus. And easy compared to other places. We enjoy it. It’s also a central location for getting to and from Broadbeach and surrounds.

We stayed here for 4 nights, partly for a conference nearby. The location was great and quiet with nice parks nearby. Whilst the place is a little dated, the King bed was fantastic and pool view was nice. Only downside was that the pool was open till 10pm with kids running riot so that was an issue. Cocktails and snacks were great but food at the restaurant was average so suggest drive down to Broadbeach for a nice meal. The drive there is very direct. We will def come back as it was good value.
