Most the staff where lovely and the rooms and pool where good. Owner was funny about you using the all inclusive to its potential and threatened to charge extra. Food is bang average at best. Rooms aren’t bad but cleaners are funny about you being in there when they want to clean. Not far from the strip but a lot of other guests that where regulars where rude.

Our first impression about the hotel was okay. It is close to the beach and the center of Laganas. The food was good (soups were really tasty). We were a bit disappointed with the cleanliness of the rooms when we came (bathroom especially).
We were most dissapointed about some of the staff and their attitude. Some of them were really nice tho (the man working at the bar at the evening was friendly and gave us really useful informations and tips about travelling around Zakynthos).
But the older man (his brother?! not sure) was rude and unprofessional. He seems to find a problem for every situation. On our last day, he wouldn’t give us drinks at the bar (before lunch) because our all inclusive was supposed to be over already (??), despite the fact that we paid for that day as well (and still had lunch included!)
Some of the staff, including this man, need to fix their attitude to their guests. And that is the reason why we won’t go back to this hotel!

Beautiful clean family hotel, excellent food, helpful staff. The only small minus is the noise from the street in the few rooms facing that street. By morning, the balcony had to be closed. A beautiful long sandy beach, many refreshment options, transparent sea.

This hotel was a big disappointment. Even though it was billed as a four-star, it had many flaws that were hard to overlook. What frustrated us the most was the rudeness and arrogance of the owner, who did not hesitate to use vulgar gestures towards guests.

In terms of eating, the food was still the same and seemed to be a repeat of the previous days meals. The variability and freshness of the dishes was lacking. In addition, the all-inclusive drinks, whether alcoholic or non-alcoholic, were severely below average and did not bring any joy.

Another problem was the lack of maintenance of the rooms. Although we asked for clean towels, we received them only after the fifth day of our stay, which is still unacceptable and not up to the standards of a 4 star hotel. In addition, it was unacceptable that the food seemed as if they wanted to save as much as possible on it, cheap ingredients were used, which certainly did not meet the expectations of a four-star hotel.

The overall service and guest care was obviously below average and disappointed us. I do not recommend it and would look for other accommodation on my next visit.

Unpleasant! I do not recommend! Very rude owner!
The hotel is a cheap one (by no means 4 stars) where everything is patched up, half repaired. Everything seems to be falling apart: the electrical installation, the doors, the locks, not to mention the shower... Quite dirty room, the one that we had. No mosquito net – that may be a problem if you don’t want to sleep with the AC on all night. Very noisy mini fridge, we had to stop it.
One may overcome these shortcomings, it is a cheap hotel afterall, but the owner's attitude and behavior are horrible (rude, attentive to the customer's consumption at the bar even though it is all inclusive and the drinks are very cheap and bad).
The food is ok though. Good location, walking distance to the beach.

The actual hotel was nice, clean rooms however our air conditioner had a plank of wood across it so the room took ages to cool down. Food wasn’t great but had the occasional okay meal. Our group was the only English there, all the other guests seemed miserable. Most of the staff were very polite and nice apart from the actual manager himself who made rude comments constantly throughout our stay. He also tried to limit our all inclusive drinks on our second day, even though no where on the website or around the hotel did it say about a limit, and also threatened to charge us more for it even though many of the older guests drank wine and gin throughout the day and no comments made. Maybe the owner has a problem with English lads but what can you expect if you’re near the Laganas strip. Main positive was it was quite so you could gets some sleep but the owners attitude is a real issue. So if you’re either young or English I’d look literally anywhere else.

Not at all a 4 star as it claims to be. Poor breakfast, the owner promptly kicks everyone out of the restaurant at 10am without even letting breakfast finish, ditto for dinner, always the same things and even cooked badly. The owner is a rude boor who constantly checks and supervises what people drink. I advise you not to stay here, I wouldn't do it again

After reading the reviews here i was very worried what kind of a hotel did i actually book. I went there with my two kids and we loved it. Its maybe not what would you call 4* hotel like those in Egypt or Turkey but it is a good 4* hotel for Greek standards. Its a family ran hotel. The place was clean and the food great. Of course it repeated itself but what do you expect? That they cool every day something dofferent for the whole season? The food was fresh, tasty with plenty to choose from. I found the owners very pleasant. No one was shouting on anyone as it is often said here. They have a car renting place there so we got a quad bike for two days, we got a map and advice what and where to see. Its a quiet hotel so if you want to party until the wee hours, shout, get drunks and make mess, choose another hotel. The location is superb. 5 min walking to the beach, right ousite the busy street but far enough to sleep peacefully at night. So, as it was a great experice last year, i booked it even for this summer. I hope we will be happy with our choice again.

Just before we came on holiday our group had read the reviews on here and obviously were worried going off all the bad reviews. However, we are not a rowdy group in the slightest and thought the terrible reviews must be due to the staff not tolerating loud and antisocial drunken behaviour and people were saying bad things due to this... we were very wrong. Upon arrival the woman at reception was very miserable and made us hand over passports. The rooms aren’t too bad and were fairly clean when we arrived, we didn’t have a big light so the room got very dark and we couldn’t do our makeup, the bathroom is very small with nowhere to store any toiletries apart from the floor, the shower is ridiculously small and had hairs still in it. There were signs all over the room saying what you will get fined for eg dirty towels and bed sheets, you are also not allowed to drink your own alcohol in the room even though you are self catered? The pool area is fairly small but is clean and not very busy which was one of the only positives. The whole stay we did not have our towels or bedding changed nor did we have our room cleaned at all, the maid only came twice and just folded your old towel and bed sheet but did give toilet roll. On day 4 we ran out of toilet roll so went down and asked for some more and got told that we couldn’t have any as it was after 4 o’clock and must buy our own as we are self catered! On 2 nights we were just chatting getting ready in our room when security knocked on our door saying we must stop talking, we weren’t even playing music. In my opinion, the staff at the hotel do not want groups of young people who are coming to party to stay here. There were a couple of families here but I would not say it is a family hotel either (however they were certainly treated better than the groups). I think they are just using the young adults to make money and fine them for no reason. If the staff were more relaxed and a lot less unreasonable the hotel would be a perfect location to get to the strip, beach clubs and restaurants. I highly recommend zante for the nightlife but definitely NOT at this hotel.

Me and my friend both stayed at the Garden Palace hotel in August. The location of the hotel was ideal as it was only a 5 minute walk from the strip and local shops/restaurants. The hotel itself was clean and our room was of a good standard. We stayed in the superior suite which was on the top floor with a large balcony. There was good air con and the room was clean and nicely decorated. The pool area was good but the food wasn't the best. The majority of the staff was helpful and nice however some of the staff were extremely inappropriate! One guy called 'Pete' was the worst, he constantly made inappropriate remarks. He always asked us if we if we had engaged in any sexual activities every night we returned from the strip, he was also asking if people were 'good in bed'. One night my friend was really drunk and we needed to be let in our room as we left our key in there, so he came up with us to let us in and started to tell my friend he liked her and tried to kiss her. We also overheard him practically begging another guest
for sex which was highly unacceptable as it was obvious she felt uncomfortable as she repeatedly said no. We made friends on holiday who walked us home one night as my friend was very drunk and we was talking to them outside of the hotel shortly before they was about to leave and Pete came over and rudely questioned him and warned him off when he was only trying to help. Furthermore he told the guy he was too old to be talking to us when he was only 4 years older than us, yet Pete who was a lot older was constantly trying to flirt with us and was asking disgusting questions about having 'sexy time' with him. I don't know what made us more uncomfortable, his creepy disgusting persona or his wonky facial features which was a huge turn off. Fantastic holiday, the strip is great for young people, however stay away from Pete, you may verbally raped, or even worse. However we were not surprised he was gagging for it, don't think anyone would be so desperate to let themselves in for a bag of creepiness with a wonky nose :)
