Attended a Jeep Event in the area. The staff from the first moment at check in, to the bar, and table for breakfast and dinner were extremely pleasant and helpful. Stayed in the "new" rooms. Impeccable cleanliness and comforts. Air conditioning, roller shutters for complete peace and quite for sleeping. Traditional German meals for dinner, white asparagus in season was delicious, tomato soup smacked of fresh tomato, home made bread basket with three "butters", complimentary starter salad selection. Breakfast good selection.
Hotel Reuner is situated in the town of Zossen- I use the word "town" lightly, there is nothing in close radius to the hotel worth visiting unless you have a car. There is some lovely countryside surrounding the place which they used to their advantage by creating a vegetable garden and greenhouses where fresh veg is available at a stones throw for their restaurant. It's such a shame, that 90% of the times I ate in the restaurant, frozen vegetables were served. I also found that being a vegetarian, my options were severely limited to tomato sauce and pasta. This was almost every day. Luckily the staff made up for the food, and were friendly and helpful most of the time. The rooms were to a basic standard but comfortable, and very clean, which is all I need from a hotel. Internet is also offered for a decent price. A shuttle service is available to pick you up from the local train station, but don't attempt to use it unless you have luggage as they don't really like this.…
