I spent 2 nights there on my way to visit friends in the South of France. It is a very basic hotel. It was clean, the double room was small. The breakfast that you pay extra was not good at all. There was nobody around, the coffee was really bad so I wouldn't recommend it. Next day I went to a place by the canal, I paid a third and it was great. The wifi doesn't work at all so I needed to do some work and chose the place on the basis to have wifi, not the case. It is a place when someone needs to stop and break a journey but not much more. If you are travelling on a low budget, it is perfect.

Very friendly staff found a table for us, a group of friends, on a very cold day in a busy restaurant. The food arrived quickly, the service was friendly and the food was generous and delicious. We would all be happy to return on our next trip to Carcasonne.

We stayed here because it was closest to the LeBoat base, and were really glad that it was only for one night. The rooms are tiny and we had booked a room for 3 (me, my husband and our son) and there was absolutely no way the 3 of us could fit in one room. Luckily we were able to get a second room. The bathroom was clean and seemed to be recently renovated so the shower was decent. Continental breakfast was included and was good...fresh croissant and baguette with jam and good coffee.

Check in advertised from 6pm. No staff arrived until 20 minutes later and guests left with cases outside hotel .. no apology.
Difficult stairs to the room. The room was extremely small, fairly grubby and in poor condition. The toilet was so small my husband couldn’t sit down on the loo with the door closed. The mould in the shower was off putting.
The room was exceptionally hot in mid summer with no fan available, we opened the window but the kitchen extraction unit was outside along with the staff break area so noisy and smelly.
Despite no sleep, we did not leave the hotel until 7am so not to disturb other guests and laughed when we met our neighbours in the street with their cases saying they couldn’t stand the heat anymore.
The restaurant below the hotel is great but avoid the hotel at all costs.

Our last evening in France after a week on the Canal du Midi, had a lovely meal there. Good choice of food with a varied selection. There were 14 in our party & service was efficient, although a bit slow with drinks order. Everyone enjoyed food they ordered & the evening as a whole

Maison du Cassoulet is centrally located downtown and was a convenient overnight stop on our canal bike trip. When we arrived the door was locked and we had to wait a few minutes for someone to arrive at the hotel/restaurant across the street. We were given our room keys and assistance with securing our bicycles in the basement. We were asked to come back a few hours later to officially check in. We interrupted the staff's dinner before the restaurant opened, but they were pleasant about it. We decided to eat dinner here too, and at the end of the meal settled our room and restaurant bill, which avoided potential confusion the next morning. The rooms were basic, but nicely furnished and clean. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. We had to ask twice for the WiFi code at the restaurant, but it worked fine. Except for the confusing check-in process and delay in obtaining the WiFi code, I have nothing to complain about and can confidently recommend this hotel.

We went to eat here for the famous cassoulet but received a cold welcome as I waited for my family to arrive some 5 minutes later

Once they arrived the manager was quite rude by telling us again we cannot sit outside even though we were told to do so by a lovely waiter

As we walked to the table the man told us that he was in charge and we cannot sit where the waiter allocated

We are very relaxed people but rudeness and coldness resulted in us simply walking away

What a shame for the chef as we were looking forward to the food but cannot write about it as we never got seated as we felt our manager would be even worse afterward

Try the food and let me know

We went to Maison du Cassoulet late on the last evening of the cassoulet festival. While the crowds were dying down it was clear the restaurant had experienced an extremely busy day. Dishes were piled high both in and outside of the kitchen, but the staff were still cheery and helpful.
The set menu gave four options and we all had the cassoulet with confit duck and pork, plus a green salad. It arrived within minutes. It came in individual dishes on a special board with a green side salad. It looked OK, although one was the borderline on being burnt. To be honest we were all disappointed. It was a hot mushy mess. The duck and sausage were good but the rest was just average. My salad leaves were not washed properly. The price also included dessert that was a commercial caramel ice cream in a little cardboard tub. Seriously!
Overall we thought that €136 for 5 cassoulet (that no one finished) and two bottles of wine was not particularly good value for money. This might have been better on a day why it was not so frantic, but overall we left with the impression we had been to a very average cafeteria.

We stayed overnight in this hotel and despite advertising that they accept dogs, the Reception person was very rude and aggressive about the fact we had our dog with us, saying that they only accept very small dogs we have a golden retriever and had informed of this in our confirmation email. If we had not prepaid we would have attempted to find some where else to stay so we insisted that they honour the booking. The room was small and clean except for the bathroom area where it was obvious that they never cleaned behind the shower door.

I thought the breakffast was also over priced at 6 euro for a single cup of coffee a glass of orange juice, a 1cm lump of baggette a small croissant plus butter and jam

Ate in this restaurant a couple of times and the food was good with some interesting items on the menu, some of the presentation was a little poor but it was tasty and well cooked.
The service was always friendly and helpful and I think the pricing was about par for the area.
Everywhere was clean and I have no complaints, hence the reason we ate there twice during our stay in the area.
