From the moment we arrived until we left, the welcome and service were first-class. Our room was spotless, the linen fresh and the beds unexpectedly comfortable! We felt breakfast was good value for money (selection of juices, teas or coffee, viennoiserie, cheeses, fruit, cereal and yoghurt). The safety standards relating to COVID were impeccable, plenty of gel dispensers and advice on social distancing, contact tracing etc. We particularly liked the proximity of the restaurant next door which had a reasonable, varied and delicious menu. We cannot recommend this Ibis more highly. We visited several times over a 14 day period during a house move, and hope to return under less stressful conditions!

This was a return visit to this hotel, chosen because of it's proximity to the autoroute as I was travelling through to Toulouse the next day. First of all, the reception was still open when I arrived at 21h30, and the welcome was friendly. The room, whilst small, was very clean, and quiet, and I did enjoy the duvet. Although I was alone, I had a double bed with a bunk bed above, which made access to the bed difficult. The shower was large, a welcome change from most hotels in this price range. Breakfast was OK although not great quality. Yes, I would return as the hotel was good value for money.

Excellent Hotel, very clean and brand new. You will appreciate it if you're a fan of coloured showers... Rooms are quite small, with futuristic design. It also has a large car park where you can leave you car for days if you come back.
Drawbacks: 3 km from centre of Castelnaudary, badly signaled and difficult to find. Breakfast unsatisfactory (fruit salad unedible).

I checked last night in Ibis budget at 6 PM and realized that the booking I did , was for two single bed. I am 1,81 cm high and 98 kg. The bed was as big as my luggage, I tried to change the room asking The front desk if I could get an other room with a larger bed as I was traveling solo and I was told I couldn’t. I would had to move to a different hotel and repay a hotel nite if I decided to change hotel with a bigger bed. The hotel is close to the main road (freeway )and quite noisy …you cannot sleep the window open ….I tried for two minutes and the neighbor next-door was smoking out the window and all the smoke was coming into my room.the single bed mattress was uneven and i fell twice out of the bed.i i did not sleep at all.The room was stuffy and the ventilation was not working …either i was sleeping window open end and with noise or window closed no noise but no ventilation…what a nite mare

Stay away…

New and very clean room, comfortable bed, efficient in every respect, ideal for two parents and a child, for only 43€ a night - can't complain. Very good breakfast for 5,50€. It is perfectly located for an overnight stop, just off the motorway. Obviously, one would only stay here for just one night.

It should be noted that the shower cubicle offers no intimacy so don't share a room if you want your privacy.

We have stayed in this hotel two years running en route to our holiday destination in Spain. The same very pleasant lady checked us in and was also there at breakfast the next morning. The hotel is spotless. Very clean rooms. We were surprised this one is cheaper to stay in than the Ibis budget in Calais. Breakfast is always good value for money. We will most definitely be back there next year.

Room Tip: We have stayed on different floors on both occasions and couldn't fault either room.

Selected ETAP, Castelnaudary for it's location almost midway, and the driver not wanting to do too much night driving.
We arrived in the dark having eaten in Toulouse and didn't find any helpful signs, as is usual in French towns and villages, not having GPS the co-ordinates given weren't helpful to us. Having found the hotel, thanks to some local youths, found the check-in welcoming and room more than adequate. Being winter the heating was on, when changed to fan to cool it down, it was a bit noisy, so we slept with the window open, which was fine, but would not have been possible later in the year.
The room was very clean and comfortable, if a bit clinical, but I knew it was going to be white. A splash of colour, throw or something similar, would have helped it to feel cosy. Heat does not equal cosy.
We planned to breakfast further along our route, so did not eat at the hotel, but the breakfast area looked welcoming.
We would certainly break our journey here on another occasion, and should find it more easily next time.

Very budget, no frills accommodation. Newly built, modern: everything is carfully designed on a budget way. If travelling with friends, be prepared to have a shower in your room with everybody having a glimpse of you behind the screen (tha shower cubicle is actually in the room!). The toilet room door doesn't have any device to lock it as it is considered unecessary. Good value for money if you know what to expect.
Be advised that address and GPS coordinates found on the ETAP and Accor website (july 2011) are wrong and will direct you to the completely wrong location. The hotel management is aware of the problem but seem disinterested to sort it out! The hotel is actually on your right hand side at he exit of the motorway and it is easy to find if you actually know where it is and you don't rely on your GPS navigator.

Great value for money for an overnight stop - a bed, en suite, warmth (January, -3C out) with a breakfast option.
You can even arrive and do all by card, including getting a code for your room if you wish.
As it happens, we were assisted by the receptionist arriving late at night.
Not where you'd go for a family holiday, but for breaking a journey, couldn't beat it

We booked a room at the Ibis because it was on our route and had high recommendations in TripAdvisor. The room was spacious but sparse, the only place for our suitcases was on the floor but the bed and the pillows were very comfortable....we had one of our best sleeps ever here. The location is very convenient, the beds are very comfortable, we highly recommend this hotel.
