At Iberostar Selection Lanzarote Park the construction of our hotel was overseen by César Manrique. The renowned artist advocated environmental values, very fitting considering Iberostar Hotels´ leadership in responsible tourism. Located five minutes walking distance from Playa Flamingo, situated on a spectacular promenade you can find the ferry terminal and various shopping areas nearby. This picturesque ocean-facing resort, offers our well known Star Prestige option for adults only luxury, a complete Spa area with a range of massages and relaxing treatments and Star Camp for the little ones, making it the perfect destination for all ages. With a relaxed atmosphere, the resort has generously sized rooms, all with their own balconies made for enjoying the sunset and spectacular views of the Atlantic. Choose a holiday with 5-star gastronomy and premium touches or a fun-filled family adventure – the choice is yours at this exceptional resort.

The Iberostar Selection Lanzarote Park hotel garners high marks for its spotless rooms and facilities, while the service receives accolades for the staff's exceptional friendliness and professionalism. Nestled in a prime location, the hotel offers guests easy beach access and vibrant local attractions. While the Star Prestige upgrade is deemed good value by many, some guests suggest there's room to enhance the experience.
The amenities, including diverse pools and services for all ages, are a hit, although opinions on the hotel's atmosphere and noise levels vary, with some finding the entertainment too loud. Rooms are praised for their cleanliness and space but occasionally criticized for outdated decor.

Detailed Reviews
Hotel's Favourite
It’s the anniversary of my first visit to this hotel which was a game changer for me so I thought I would post my review of my fourth stay today. I was a solo traveller staying in Star Prestige and I upgrade to a priority location roomi n the Star Prestige Tower on the top floor.
I came to this hotel the first time because of its proximity to a beach (3 minutes to the beautiful and quiet Playa Flamingo.) I return every year because of the staff. I speak Spanish and come to practice. I always feel like I am coming home. A huge thank you to everyone on Reception - Fernando, Marek, Moises and Leo (the names I know) and especially to Steffi who patiently answered all my questions (before and during my stay) and came out to talk to me when I asked for her. I really appreciated that.
My room was as clean, spacious and luxurious as always. The view out to sea is outstanding. On a clear day you can see the hotels on the beach in the Parque Natural on Fuerteventura. There was a heatwave during my stay and the temperature didn’t go below 25C for the majority of my stay even at night. The Spanish government have set a law in place that aircon in hotels can only operate between a specific range of temperatures so you aren’t going to have air con below 18C. Its important to note that before you come, to manage your expectations. Whilst you could change it in your room it is centrally controlled and I noticed each night between 4 – 6 am the room would be too hot even though the air con was showing as on and you could hear air coming into the room. Then around 7 am it suddenly started producing lovely cool air again without me touching the control panel. I had to use a personal fan at times in order to get back to sleep as I am going through the menopause. This part of the early morning was trying but I appreciate that those heatwaves aren’t the norm and its normally fine in October. You couldn’t open the door to the balcony as the air outside was too hot. The air con was sufficient to keep the room cool during the day if you kept the blackout blinds across. If you open the door to the balcony the aircon pauses so that is another thing to remember. I loved the addition of an exercise mat in the room. A great idea Iberostar.
The room was beautifully quiet, another reason I return to this hotel and this part of it. I heard neighbours on one side just once and even though it was close to the lift didn’t hear the ping often and it didn’t disturb me. A big thank you to Jenny who looked after me so well, kept it spotlessly clean and gave me loads more coat hangers!
A big thank you as always to Jan and his team at the Star Prestige Pool Bar. To Jan, Chari, Ainoa, Raul and Brahim. Thank you for making my stay so special and personal. Los extraño a todos. ❤️ Hasta la proxima! We miss you Charaf!
The Star Prestige pool area was wonderful as usual. I love the peace and quiet and the amazing views out to sea and across to Fuerteventura. Because the air temperature was so hot for once the pool was perfect and I stayed in a long time. The temperature of the jacuzzi was too hot and I couldn’t go in. I mentioned it in passing to a maintenance guy and I noticed he turned the temperature down after that. I hope he has turned it back up again now! There was less of a problem than usual getting a sun bed. This year I didn’t go down earlier than I wanted to once and was able to find the spot I wanted. There is a notice in the Star Prestige lift now about not reserving sunbeds but I don’t see the rule enforced. I do think either you enforce the notice or don’t put it up.
They have finally mended the gates that separate the Star Prestige area from the rest of the hotel and from the promenade outside. I was told that the reason for the delay is that it is quite difficult to get replacement parts to the Canaries.
Massive thanks in both restaurants and the main bar to Irene, Jessica, Muñoz, Pablo and all the other lovely waitresses, waiters and chefs whose names I don’t know. They made me feel welcome and special. I was pleased to see toasting machines were working again.
As is often mentioned the choice of food is spectacular especially little dishes of starters and I completely adore the selections of cheeses, salamis and olives. I love the freshly squeezed orange juice and the breads all made on the premises. There is always a demonstration of what the evening’s meal choices look like if you wished to assemble them that way but I think this sadly goes unnoticed.
In previous years the entertainment on offer has been a little strange but as last year it is getting better and better. The acts that come in from outside were excellent including acrobats and an excellent magic show.
Big thanks to the entertainments team. I don’t know them all but to Juan who introduced me to Pilates, to Triana who remembered me from previous years (wondering what I did that I stood out!) and who was very knowledgeable, friendly and showed me how to make soap and was happy to talk to me at any time and last but not least to Sergio, what a guy. (Soy Alegria)
He is so good at his job, he can talk to anyone, he loves what he does and can conduct a bingo session in multiple languages. Mamma mia! Professionale!
The entertainments team did an outstanding job on the nights they were performing shows. I couldn’t believe how they could do all the activities they did during the day and then expend so much energy and emotion for the evening shows. I saw two shows they did, one was The Greatest Show which I have seen before and the other was a show where they changed what they were doing and wearing every 30 seconds, amazing. I will never forget their rendition of Dirty Dancing and I literally cried laughing. Thank you!
And the negatives.
The hotel is relentlessly pursuing going paperless which is a frustration to the guests. They no longer permit holiday companies to publish details of return flight information in the usual place which is unsettling and guests have to go to reception for this. I find the lack of any information on paper a real irritation. Not everyone wants to carry a mobile phone with them all the time or have to consult an app to decide what wine to order.
The flies in the restaurants have pretty much gone. Thank you Iberostar. The plates and bowls are still not as clean as they used to be but this is getting better. I had to put one or two aside during my stay. I think there were complaints that the food isn’t properly labelled so this has been rectified by (you guessed it) paperless labels which can be individually programmed. Unfortunately because this means black letters on a grey background it is quite hard to read what is on the label and I gave up.
As has been previously mentioned there is quite a lot of recycling of food going on now. I saw an Apple tart recycled into different sweets on the two days following it first being presented whole. The salads and vegetables are quite heavily recycled too. I know Iberostar is all about recycle and reuse but I am not sure about this!
The chairs on all balconies are still rocking chairs which I still find a strange choice. They aren’t comfortable to relax in and can only be made so by taking a pillow from the bed.
The gates that separate Star Prestige bedrooms from the rest of the hotel are still broken. They always have been. I guess they aren’t so important as you can’t really go anywhere without your card or band in that area of the hotel.
I was pleased to see that everything is now back as it was pre-COVID with the exception of alcoholic drinks in the Star Prestige Lounge in the evening. I was told that the management don’t think guests want to have a drink in the lounge at night but think they are quite wrong about this. Other guests have said the same. Not everyone wants to go outside to watch the entertainment every night, especially if it was a cool night during the winter and this is the place I would go to after dinner. The lounge was well used during my stay and it was so very hot all the windows were open.
And there is still no a la carte in the Star Prestige Restaurant in the evening and I did raise this once again with the management but he said there is no expectation for this to return. I am an unpaid carer taking a break from care and I want someone to look after me on my break which is why I particularly like a la carte. I wish they would put it back. The Barcelo chain provide a la carte and we all know a new one is about to open up the road! I ordered agua con gas every night but was always brought Iberostar’s own version which didn’t have gas in it.
I did notice that the toilet roll paper and the tissues in the vanity unit in the bathroom were thinner than last year (not what you expect if you have booked luxury) and also the towel service and turn down service in the evening have been merged into one. If you are in the room you are handed fresh towels and chocolates and if you aren’t they come in and do a turn down service (but you don’t get more towels). Having said that the maids are all absolutely lovely and any time you ask them for anything they will always get it for you.
As always the kids are the ones that have the best time at this hotel. There is always something for them to do or learn and the water carpet is a favourite. As I have said in other reviews I don’t think this hotel is value for money unless you are a family with small children and the focus is on the kids having a good time or unless you are looking for an adults only luxury experience. The main pool area is cramped, there aren’t enough parasols, the loungers are too close together, the main dining room can be unbearable in terms of noise, heat and constant overcrowding and there is continuous noise by the main pool outside until midnight.
However, always going Star Prestige I love this place, as I come on my own and I feel safe, I completely relax, I can pretty much do what I want when I want: If you want to walk on the beach in the early morning in your bathrobe you can do that, if you want a table by the window with a view of the sea they will make sure they lay one up for you, if you want chicken at dinner and they aren’t serving it they’ll prepare it for you. If you want more towels or more tissues or even a second carafe they will bring them for you. You can't ask for better than that. Whilst I agree this is not a five star hotel I certainly get the five star treatment! Thank you! Los extraño a todos. See you in 2024 Iberostar Selection Lanzarote Park. ❤️

Wow !
What a Hotel , from the moment you check in till you check out you will enjoy everything this stunning hotel has to offer .
The location is absolutely stunning I would probably say most rooms have a sea view ( ours was awesome sunsets to die for)
The Service 100% fantastic from the front desk , waiters, bar staff and house keepers everyone welcomes you with a smile .
The room as I said above the views are outstanding, we were offered a free upgrade to a junior suite but this had a pool view and we really wanted a sea view no problem whatsoever this was arranged at the reception.
We booked the Star Prestige all Inclusive package and it was worth every penny .
The food on offer in the Star Prestige can only be described as unbelievable, you would pay top dollar in any top end restaurant in the UK for this fine fare .
The Star Prestige is Adults only and therefore very peaceful and relaxing during the day at the beautiful pool jacuzzi area.
The sun loungers are extremely comfortable , the only time you will be disturbed is when the bar staff come round with complementary drinks or treats .
There are daily tasting sessions also.
My wife and I stayed for 9 nights in January and we are already looking forward to returning next January.
Special mention to Christina,Jan,Charraf , Pilar who made us feel very special indeed.
Not forgetting all other staff members too numerous to name check .
Thank you all for a truly wonderful time .

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday at the Iberostar Lanzarote Park. We were greeted on arrival in reception with a welcome drink whilst our room was prepared, the view from reception is beautiful so you immediately get a feel for the hotel.
We stayed in a family room with sea view and the view was idyllic. Our room was cleaned daily and fresh bed sheets/towels provided as required. They also provide beach and pool towels. The room is fully equipped with all that we needed and if there was anything additional we required, the hotel app kept us in touch with reception 24/7.
For meal times we were allocated a time slot to attend (approximately 45min window, but if we didn’t make it or needed to change the slot it was no issue)- likely due to covid to reduce crowds. It worked perfectly for us and they considered us being a family when they allocated us the earlier time slots. The hotel or restaurants never felt crowded which was lovely.
The food choice was brilliant. There was plenty to choose from but also different foods every day. Lots of the food could be cooked in front of you too. We didn’t really use the snack bars other than for drinks during the day because we were full from the meals most times.
The location of the hotel is right on the sea front, you do need to walk less than 5 minutes up to get to the sandy beach though. We didn’t venture far into the town so can’t comments as there was plenty to do at the hotel.
Each evening there was usually live music on the terrace as well as some kind of show or entertainment indoors. It was really family friendly but also entertaining for adults. (Except an act called Juke box which we found really odd and immature but perhaps others enjoyed it.)
The children had their own pool areas with 2 heated pools with a couple of slides and a smaller splash area. They also had daily entertainment- usually some pool games or a show followed by a pool disco. It was nice as our child was too young for a kids club but really enjoyed the poolside entertainment.
One tip is that when we went in October 21 they enforced face coverings around the hotel in all communal areas including the restaurant so make sure you pack a couple of masks. We didn’t expect it with less being used in the U.K.
Overall we’d definitely return, we had a wonderful time with really attentive staff!

I spent four days in the Lanzarote Park recently with my daughter. It was our second visit and, as previously, there were many positives but some issues. It was lovely to escape some of the chaos at home and I did think the hotel staff were generally doing their best to respond to Covid measures. The public areas were very clean, there was hand sanitiser widely available and everyone was wearing masks.
We were greeted by Steffi (with whom I had prior communication), who was welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. I paid to upgrade to Star Prestige to ensure we had a room in the Adults only area but many of the additional services e.g. lounge and waiter service in the restaurant, were not available. It was good to have the use of the SP pool area, which was very quiet, and we could order a limited range of drinks at the pool bar.
There were very few hotels, bars, restaurants or shops open in Playa Blanca, therefore the Lanzarote Park was surprisingly busy. This was most obvious at dinner. Although time slots were allocated the buffet was very busy, with some guests completely ignoring social distancing. There were perspex screens in place but guests had to serve themselves. I would have been much happier to have had the separate service in the Star Prestige restaurant, even with a limited menu. Having visited twice, I do believe the buffet at this 5* hotel lets it down. The cold dishes available at breakfast and dinner provide a good variety, with lots of fresh fruit and salads. However I found the hot choices much less appetising - prepared hot dishes were often dried up or congealing, even freshly cooked meat and fish seemed to be poor quality. Some dishes were lukewarm and the churros at breakfast were so hard they were inedible. On this occasion we didn't have the choice of a menu in Star Prestige so we were again disappointed by the Lanzarote Park's food.
Staff at the hotel were working very hard and the waiting staff in the bars and restaurant were very helpful and friendly. Although the bedrooms are not large, ours was clean, comfortable and well laid out - it was definitely worth having a sea view. The Spa is also lovely for a visit.
Although we really enjoyed our stay, I'm not sure we would return unless there were better dining options available.

This is the kind of effortless hotel which makes a family holiday. Everything is SO easy and relaxed.
Rooms are lovely, modern, clean and fresh.
Food is good and there is something for everyone - a real cut above your usual hotel buffet food,
Staff are fabulous, they all seem really happy and friendly.
Pools are almost all heated and are a decent temperature (though 1 or 2 more degrees and it would have been perfect).
If you are a family, try for a ground floor room in building 2 - the one to the right of the main building if looking from the sea. Try for the far right hand side as this gets the sun from about 11am onwards whereas the other side gets the early morning but then the shade all afternoon. This building has the kids pool in it which is heated and was fine in December for us.
If you don't have children, go for a higher up room on the same side in one of the 3 buildings as you'll get a sea view and the breeze. Views are better the higher up you go.
The beach near the hotel is divine! Crystal clear water, soft sand and some great fishing just off the breakwater.
Town is a 10 minute walk in the other direction - there are some great restaurants and the vibe is low key and relaxed.
We were a family of 11 people split between 4 rooms and we really did have a ball. We all came home relaxed and tanned and planning our next trip! thanks Iberostar :)

Second time at this lovely hotel with our 2yo, unfortunately the trip was cut short because of Coronavirus but we will definetly return.
Fantastic selections at each meal and al inc worked well for us. Children’s pools were much warmer than on our last visit 2 years ago which was welcomed! Extra touches like evening turndown service gave the feeling of luxury. Staff friendly and welcoming.
Couple of things meant as constructive feedback (couldn’t give any on check out), recently stayed at a Zafiro hotel where there was children’s cutlery and reusable plastic beakers/plates in the restaurant which we feel would be welcomed here.
Bedrooms are lovely and spacious but starting to look slightly tatty with chipped woodwork on furniture and loose fixtures in bathroom, need to keep on top of this. Other issue-bedroom door has no additional locking mechanism, so our tall 2yo could get the door open. Extra safety chain or similar would increase security/parents relaxation!

Stayed at Iberostar just before Christmas, helped by great weather the Hotel is ideally licated to walk the promenades into Pkaya Blanca and beyond. Hotel very clean and staff exceptionally helpful. Restaurant offers excellent choices both breakfast and Dinner. Sweets are much the same but that is true of most hotels. Freshly cooked main courses available only criticism would be a choice of vegetables but that is being picky. As returning clients we were showered with free water, a borttle of Rioja Fresh Melon during our stay. Rooms had tea and coffee making facilities and free safe depisit. Best of all so many sunbeds you didnt need to be up withnthe lark to reseve them Well done Iberostar we will be back for the sun !

Just got home yesterday, due to the Canaries coming off the UK quarantine list we booked a last minute 4 night trip, got cheap flights and used a refund credit note from a cancelled holiday earlier this year through Alpha rooms, so got a great deal.
We have stayed in Playa Blanca many times over the last 12 years sometimes more than once a year, we have tried the H10 Lanzarote princess, Hisperia, Flamingo beach whish are 4*, plus we have stayed in 5 star hotels across Europe. The Iberostar is definitely on another level to any European 5* we have stayed in.
Food was the best AI buffet food we have ever had in Europe, just amazing, so much choice and even in these restricted times there was no scrimping on the quality.
Drinks superb, top shelf branded drinks all included, cocktails were fab, absolutely no complaints.
Room - we were lucky enough to be upgraded to a room in the star prestige section, rooms were beautiful and modern with a full sea view, not sure what the rooms are like in the normal section, but from the outside they looked all sea view.
Cleanliness was outstanding, our rooms were cleaned intensely, the hotel was very clean, employees were constantly disinfecting sunbeds and tables etc.
I am so happy we got to go away in these uncertain times, but we felt much safer in Lanzarote than we do at home, the restrictions are a lot more stringent and we didn't mind wearing masks all the time, you get used to it after a day or so.
The staff at the hotel were very nice and the lady on reception was super nice and very helpful.
All in all a fabulous stay and what hopefully will be our new Go To hotel next time we are in Playa Blanca, we wouldn't want to downgrade from here.
Thank you to Iberostar Selection LP for a fabulous time.

After all the will we won’t we get to go , Covid tests etc we were rewarded with a fantastic holiday .
Playa Blanca itself was very very quiet with only a small fraction of hotels open , luckily for us our choice of the Lanzarote Park was open . After looking at all the big hotels in Playa Blanca we picked this one as we thought the amenities for our 5 year old Granddaughter looked the best , we were proved correct as she has had a super time , the children’s pool , play area and Star club were all fantastic . The adults are well catered for with a full program of activities too .
The hotel was well decorated for Christmas and there were quite a few special activities to suit the festive season .
The rooms are spacious , bright and airy with a decent balcony , every amenity you could require including iron and ironing board .
We were all inclusive and the food was excellent , plenty of of variety and choice , the buffet style of dining was still operational , you sanitised your hands before every visit to the buffet and the serving tongs were changed every 15 minutes , dining times were staggered , you had to wear a face mask at all times unless you were seated to dine or drink , everything was well organised and we felt perfectly safe at all times .
The drinks were varied and good quality , it was waiter service and the waiters along with everyone else in the hotel were friendly and helpful .
We have stayed in a number of hotels in Playa Blanca and it’s easy to see why this one is rated #1 , we’ve already booked to go again .

Had a fantastic stay here with elderly parents and young children 1 and 4.
The staff are amazing- nothing is too much trouble and the place is kept immaculate- they work around the clock and it shows in how clean and tidy it is.
Food was superb (we went all inc)
We swam in all the pools (except the non heated one) children loved the slides!
The rooms were tidied to a high standard daily, showers were hot and powerful... it’s from our room 311 had 180degree views of the sea as well as the pools on the grounds.
Loved this place- fully deserve the reviews and stars. We would definitely go back. It catered for all on our trip and to a high standard.

Branded drinks are included in the AI, but if you download the Iberostar app for the Lanzarote Park you can navigate the available drinks/spirits in each bar. I don’t think Smirnoff is included but they have some great Gins etc Enjoy
Shorts are fine. Flip flops were worn by some as well. Very casual I would say.
No, short sleeves are ok. Not very strict at all. Smart casual is good
We were in prestige 30 July for 12 nights, no problem getting sunbeds. Highly recommend going prestige _ pool bar is lovely for drink & snacks, staff are wonderful.
Not really, just bits and pieces and great salads.
