The hotel had great facilities, tennis courts, bikes, and activities in the hotel such as herb picking and archery. There is an indoor and outdoor pool, the outdoor one is always nice and the indoor one is a little cooler and quiet. There is also a plunge pool, saunas, a jacuzzi and a gym which are all great.
It's a really quiet location so feels like a proper getaway from the busy city and beaches yet still not too far from anywhere.
The rooms are comfortable & modern and the aircon is very good, however the wifi isn't so good in the evenings.
Spain still has some restrictions in place and these were implemented through the hotel, the environment felt very safe but still easy to relax with masks worn by all staff and by guests in the indoor areas, as well as tables spaced apart at the restaurant, the rooms were also cleaned every day and very well cleaned too.
One of the best parts about the hotel was the restaurant and food. Guests all had allocated tables which is good for Covid and is also just a nice thing to have. The lunches were really good, great pastas and Pa Amb Oli. The breakfast is usually a buffet, but due to Covid the waiters & waitresses brought out the food instead, they always brought out lots of food and drinks. Lots of things for breakfast like fruit, pastries, crepes, waffles, fry-ups, breads, and lots more! The dinners were very good, 3 course meals with bread & aioli at the start, the meals were always the perfect size, and all the food was perfect, there was almost always a vegetarian option if needed and a good variety of food over the 2 weeks. Nice salads, BBQs, paella, fusion nights where the food was a mix of two different styles which was good.
All the waiters/waitresses and all of the staff were all really kind and helpful.
Overall, an amazing hotel and holiday, thank you so much! :)
Now for our stay: the room was large and clean, so OK!
The breakfast selection is very limited, even for a country hotel. The service at breakfast was very rudimentary, plates were only cleared away at the very end. No personal approach, unfortunately too busy for that. Some of the seat cushions were dirty and soaked in the morning in October. The waitress preferred to play on their cell phones instead of wiping all the cushions dry!
At the weekend we were unlucky on Friday and Saturday that two major events took place in the complex. The thumping music didn't go on until late at night, but in such an environment I expect PEACE and not a party.
So: not again!

Here you can find a rather quiet and welcoming space, in the middle of the countryside, ideal for those looking to escape the confusion of the beach! And where harmony with nature reigns!
There are some services available to guests: outdoor pool, bar and restaurant (both with direct access to the outdoor pool), SPA and indoor pool, among others.
For those who like walking and / or running, there is a well-signed track that allows you to travel almost the entire border zone of the farm. Being a farm with a forest area, it is possible to see some animals, such as lobsters!
The space of the guest area is extremely well cared for and there is special attention to cleaning.
It is advisable to rent a car, given the distance to the nearest village (Porreres about 3.5 km).
The team of employees is fantastic, with a professionalism and sympathy of excellence!
Definitely, Sa Bassa Rotja is a highly recommended place!
Our only small criticism would be concerning our double room, which we knew in advance was a "basic" room with no patio or balcony. The room was a good size and spotlessly clean, but the wardrobe gave no deep hanging for dresses, and a chest of drawers would have been handy to keep bits and bobs in. The sliding wardrobe doors were so heavy they were difficult to move, so accessing T shirts and underwear etc would have been easier had there been a chest of drawers. The shower cubicle was small, with a shower curtain that clings to you, and we could have done with more hooks or towel rails in the shower room, as it was difficult to dry towels and swimwear with no patio or balcony.
This is a small design criticism of what is otherwise a wonderful hotel, and we would heartily recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable, peaceful, easy-going and tasteful place to stay.
The food is delicious and it is SO fresh and organic that you can feel it nourishing your body. Absolutely 5/5! Breakfast is an unlimited buffet which is 12 euros p/p and dinner is 33 euros for a 3 course meal (appetizer, main, dessert) which gets updated daily and published early - AGAIN, so DELICIOUS and the best food I had in Spain. And the drinks of course, amazing! The coffee as well.
They have a lot of amenities and activities like horse riding, bikes, spa, tennis and many others!! You get to learn a lot, and do ecological tourism.
The location is a dream for wedding destinations as well; so it’s on my list for the future!
Anywhere in Mallorca is better accesible by car so I recommend renting one! :))
Thank you Sa Bassa Rotja for such a lovely stay <3
There's plenty to do at Sa Bassa Rotja, they have a spa, sauna, steam room, gym, all free to use along with bicycles to get around the vast estate.
Rooms are quaint and full of character, not modern, but have everything you need and are spacious for a family of four. We stayed in a poolside suite.
Food and drink are close by and offer a good variety that changes each day. Evening entertainment was provided with an enjoyable piano recital.
One of our children has severe food allergies and the catering staff could not have done more to accommodate his needs. They even had a local bakery make bread specifically for him. The head waiter, Raoul, took time to discuss his needs and ensured that meals were discussed ahead of each day.
The food allergy has been an issue for us on other holidays but the staff here really took the problem away and gave us the confidence so we could fully relax. Thank you so much.
We would have no hesitation to book again and are looking forward to planning our next visit. Hope to see you all again soon.

Access to Spa facilities (indoor pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and loungers) was welcome but outdoor pool is amazing. Plenty of loungers and towels provided for pool use. We borrowed bikes and cycled around the estate, tennis rackets are available to use on the courts too.
Buffet breakfast on the terrace overlooking the pool with a three course evening meal (several choices for starter and main courses) and a good wine list. Restaurant staff were lovely, white tablecloths and napkins on the tables, perfect setting at the end of the day with twinkling lights as the sun sets.
You would need a car as the setting is quite remote although taxis are available. It is in a great location for easy access to beaches and towns around the island. Small supermarket in Porreres with larger supermarket in Felanitx.
We would happily recommend Sa Bassa and look forward to planning our return.
