We've just returned from having our daughter's wedding in Sa Bassa... absolutely wonderful venue. Traditional Spanish finca which was so relaxing from the moment you drive up the palm lined entrance road. Guests had various rooms, all of which were beautiful. Used pools and spa facilities... excellent. What actually made the wedding so perfect were the fantastic staff who were just so helpful and made us feel so special... I don't know all their names but a very special thank you to Raul, the manager...el mejor! Also Silvio and Alex. Everyone was just fantastic! We were treated like friends from the moment we arrived to when we left. Certainly intend to return.

The setting of this hotel is lovely , the staff, the grounds, pool and buildings are excellent. We knew the hotel was dog friendly but were surprised and disappointed at how many guests had dogs during our stay. The main issue for us with the dogs is that their owners had to bring them to dinner with them every evening and on one occasion a guest had the dog sitting on her whilst she fed it at the table from one of the restaurant plates, surely this should be unacceptable and be seen as a hygiene risk. Overall, the hotel was really nice and we enjoyed our stay but would think twice about a return simply because of the issue with dogs.

We thank you for your nice words for our Hotel Sa Bassa Rotja, staff and installations. We would like to inform you that we have rules in place for the proper behavior of pets and their interaction with other hotel guests. We understand and regret the discomfort you experienced regarding the incident you mentioned, as it is not allowed to use our tableware to feed the hotel's pets. We have taken note of this to prevent it from happening in the future. Once again, we thank you for choosing to stay at Sa Bassa Rotja, and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Visited with grown up Family, beautiful authentic rustic resort in a remote area of central SE of island, ideally located for explore many beautiful little towns and ports. The resort is a lovely place to relax and recover, very peaceful. Room was spacious, basic but comfortable, cool & had everything we needed. Spa & Pool areas are lovely and mostly blissfully quiet, perfect for chilling with a book(tho some children appeared on our last few days which changed the dynamic.) We we’re half board, a good variety at breakfast, with champagne on offer, dinner was a limited menu but very pleasing local dishes, and for the fussy diner they offered a pasta/chicken & fries type meal if nothing was suiting. Evening entertainment(pianist)was provided on a few evenings. We had an amazing holiday, there’s no glossy marble foyer or gilded bath tubs but the staff are 1st class, each & everyone exceptionally accommodating and helpful. Highly recommend.

We booked a suite for a family of 3 and there was plenty of room for us all. What a beautiful place to stay, it did not disappoint. All very clean, totally peaceful and fabulous service. A car I think is essential if you stay here for more than a few days as it allows you to get out and about easily and discover the beautiful countryside and villages/towns. The food is great, may get a little repetitive at lunchtime especially for young kids…that said the team at the hotel are very accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. Look forward to a return visit…didn’t really want to leave!

As our first solo holiday without kids , this hotel and all its facilities was just what we needed! The hotel and grounds are beautiful. We stayed in a room in the courtyard which was very peaceful but only a stones throw from the pool. The food was exceptional and the service from the staff was equally as good. In fact in was so good , we have booked again to come back next year! The Lovegroves July 23

An absolute calmness and tranquility luxury oasis on the island. The building dating back to the 12th century, is not only mind blowing but also unique. It’s a delicious setting between palm trees, olive trees and vine yards. All amenities are there, not only the pool, spa but also horses to ride, frequent piano or jazz nights by the little and cute piazza surrounded by limestone historical buildings. Highly recommendable if you’re seeking a charming hotel experience.

Very nice. The staff were 100% excellent, very attentive and helpful. The food was excellent - simple and very tasty. We had a pool-side suite which was great. The indoor pool / sauna area was pleasant and the gym well equipped. Nice location to explore the local towns and beaches. Only question - as an Eco business I did wonder why the external lights were on all night and the water sprinklers in action for most of the day.

We truly appreciate your positive feedback and the time you took to share your experience with us. It's wonderful to hear that our staff's attentiveness and helpfulness left a lasting impression on you. We're delighted that you enjoyed our excellent food offerings and found them both simple and flavorful. We understand your concern about our Eco practices and appreciate your observation regarding external lights and water sprinklers. On these points we want to inform you that the exterior of the hotel remains illuminated during the night, but these are scheduled according to the varying daylight hours in summer and winter to optimize their use to the fullest extent possible. Due to the high temperatures, it has been necessary to carry out more targeted irrigation in our gardens, always with personalized control and applied in different areas. We hope to have the pleasure of hosting you again in the future in Sa Bassa Rotja!

We visited in July during the European heatwave; family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 children (11&12). We chose Sa Bassa Rotja as we wanted a quieter break away from the typical Mallorcan all-inclusive type hotels. It is located in a truly rural setting, surrounded by vineyards and fields. The buildings/finca are 13th century and beautifully maintained. We stayed in a poolside suite which was perfect to access the pool (literally 10 steps away) and was a gorgeous temperature every day. In addition the Spa was very close by and a great space to retreat to during very hot spells. It includes a pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and plunge pool. We all used these facilities each day. We really enjoyed the massages by Anya during the wellness week. And the free bike hire to pedal around the perimeter. And the lovely hotel dog - Bella (and I’m not a dog person!). The restaurant is very closely located to the poolside suites and during our week all meals were offered outside (no indoor tables for a bit of air con!) There is no separate bar area, but there is a lovely courtyard space to sit and relax in with a drink and a book. The food is generally of a high standard (couple of mis-hits with the bbq night, and the squid) and a la carte. In addition, they do offer childrens meals (but they don’t specify this on a menu, so you need to ask). It really is a relaxing and quiet break and the residents were lovely company. Big thanks to all the staff, from reception and cleaning to restaurant. All work hard, offer brilliant customer service and enhanced our experience. The rooms have lots of wardrobe and drawer space. The beds are very comfortable. The fridge in the room is very useful. To improve the experience I would say the bathrooms are very ready for an upgrade. Plus they don’t offer free water. One bottle of water at dinner should be minimum standard. You can’t drink the tap water and have to buy bottled.

We have just returned from 5 lovely days of complete relaxation. We stayed in the poolside suites and the rooms are beautiful. Lovely big bathroom, big bedroom and separate lounge. The air-conditioning is very good and the beds are very comfortable with lovely cotton bedding and comfy pillows. The grounds are beautiful, green and well kept. The food was absolutely delicious and we ate at the restaurant every night. The staff at Sa Bassa are a delight and a credit to the Bou Ros group. They are all so friendly and professional and made our stay a delight. Thank you to you all. If you are looking for a break away from it all and want to hear birds singing all day, watch butterfly's and just relax, then Sa Bassa is the place for you.

My friend and I spent five nights at Sa Bassa Rotja as a belated birthday celebration. We chose the hotel because it looked beautiful and tranquil, and we certainly weren't disappointed! The building itself is oozing character and is beautifully maintained. Our room was situated in the courtyard area which was an idyllic place to enjoy a morning cuppa. The room was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed, robes and slippers were certainly a welcome addition. All staff were friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We were half-board and the menu, although not extensive, was generally really nice. The buffet style breakfast is very good and offers more fresh, local produce. A lunchtime snack menu is also available, and reasonably priced. Although the Majorcan weather wasn't quite as expected (some fierce but short-lived storms), the hotel spa provided a pleasant place to relax, swim and escape the rain. We thought it would be even lovelier if there was comfortable seating to relax with a drink inside the restaurant when the weather isn't great, and also for after evening meals rather than just retreating straight to our room. The pool area is truly lovely with comfortable and plentiful loungers. It was nice on occasions to hear (very low volume) music drifting from the restaurant while we relaxed by the pool - it was still tranquil but added a little atmosphere. We were well aware of the isolated location of the hotel when we booked, and for us this was only intended as a short 'relax and recharge' break. However, I completely agree with previous reviews that a car is essential if you are staying for longer or want to get out and about as there is nowhere within walking distance. The only slight downside to our stay was the fact that none of the advertised activities (wine tasting, herb collecting etc) were available during our stay as it was apparently low season (end of May/early June). Yoga was offered once weekly but unfortunately not on the days we were there which is obviously not the fault of the hotel! We thoroughly enjoyed our break and left feeling relaxed and refreshed. We would definitely recommend Sa Bassa Rotja and thank all staff for making our stay so enjoyable.
