I've been reading many of the reviews and I'm surprised that some of them are quite poor. We had an amazing experience. We got to the hotel early and our room was ready. We were given a very large room with a big balcony facing the beach. This made for wonderful photo opportunities and sunsets. The room was very clean and the bed was quite large. The check in and out were seamless and they even let us leave our car parked out front while we checked into the room. The buffet breakfast was sensational with so many choices including a variety of meats and cheeses, eggs cooked in a variety of ways, cereals, breads, and pastries. They even had a dairy free and gluten intolerant section. The location was fantastic as it is right on the main street and close to all of the action. I couldn't have asked for a better stay!!!

Delighted to be back once again after 2 years and to find the hotel as good as ever.
Covid regulations are well-managed with one way systems in place in the foyer and dining rooms. Hand sanitisers are available at key points including entry to the lifts. The buffet breakfast has been reorganised with staff serving customers behind screens but the food is as extensive as ever which makes the experience very similar to before. There are 4 breakfast sittings daily, but we found it to be very quiet around 8.30am most days.
Turndown was provided nightly with towels changed twice a day.
A special thanks to Jessica and Pedro on reception for their warm and friendly service.
Looking forward to returning again next year.

Beautiful hotel in a great location on Praia Da Rocha. The rooms are very large and comfortable. However there were a couple of strange things such as no cork screw in the kitchenette in the room. When we asked to borrow one from the front desk they advised that’s not possible. You can either call room service to come up & open your bottle, or you can go down to the restaurant with your wine & they will open it for you there. Also, pool/beach towels require a 20 Euro cash deposit each. They can’t charge it to your room, or put it against your credit card. But, we enjoyed the hotel & would certainly stay here again.

We are disappointed with the standard of our room (staying in #208).
For over $300/night, we expect our accommodation to be comfortable, clean, and in working order.
The room I booked is supposed to accommodate 3 adults (myself, my husband, and my mum); however, the extra bed is barely a cot that might be appropriate for a child and not an adult. It’s under 70cm (or 27in) wide. The bathroom is in a poor state with dirty, mouldy tub and tiles, no tap to fill the bathtub, and no working ventilation. The room and bathroom amenities are very limited: no tea or coffee, no water (other than to purchase from the mini bar), only soap, lotion and shower cap in the bathroom. Certainly not up to standard of a 4* hotel.
Here’s a little tidbit about the neighbourhood (partying outside the hotel): The other night an egg was thrown and crashed on our balcony door, I notified the front office and the window was cleaned; however, some egg still remains on the wall.
On a positive note, our room has a fairly large balcony with a side view of the ocean and the beach (it has a table, but only 2 chairs). Location is good, across the street from the beach, on the promenade, close to many restaurants and shops, but being in the hotel zone, it’s a bit outside of town (a short taxi ride).

Excellent hotel situated close to the beach with stunning views. We had an ocean view suite on the top floor. It was amazing! Spotlessly clean and so spacious. A huge bed with both soft and firm pillows made for the most comfortable sleeps. Plenty of wardrobe space, lovely bathroom with quality toiletries, kitchen area with microwave and fridge, tea and coffee facilities. Large balcony with table and chairs. The room was cleaned to a high standard daily and fresh towels always available. Breakfast was buffet style and always fresh with lots of choice, we never had a problem finding a table and the waiting on staff were quick to clear tables and reset them. The swimming pool area was small but perfect for us, plenty of sun beds available, the pool bar served a good variety of drinks and a smaller selection of snacks, the bar staff were efficient and friendly. Pool towels could be hired from reception for a 10 euro refundable deposit and could be changed daily. This hotel is in a perfect position and close to bars and restaurants , just cross the road to get to the beach a short walk downhill. Can highly recommend staying here and we will certainly return.

The hotel is great. The unbeatable location right in front of Da Rocha beach and the PortimO nightlife area. It is not close to the Paseo Marítimo, this promenade along with its port is about 25 minutes walk away. You have a taxi rank right below the hotel. The only bad thing, to say the least, is the smell in the room that seems to be of tobacco but in reality it is like disinfectant or laundry detergent and it is very strong, it is so strong that it is better to leave the balcony door open so that it can cool down. air all day. Breakfast is great, it is served on the -1 floor from 7 to 10.30 and the truth is that you have everything, from hot dishes to all kinds of salads, vegetables, etc. There is an area only for people who like organic or detox, and something that has also caught my attention is that there is an exclusive toaster for gluten-free products. The staff is really educated and open to help with any question and query. I would say best Price/quality in Portimão. We will go again and Have fun on the beach in front of the hotel. The views are very romantic too, sea Size room is with a great sea view. There is an open pool inside the hotel. In the room you find a small kitchen with the plates, teapot, tea/cofee etc. Highly recommended

Stayed here for 4 nights during our trip to Portugal. We had a rental car and the hotel has underground parking. Navigating the garage may be a challenge for some but it is secure. We requested a ocean view and the hotel accommodated our request. Higher floors offer a terrific view. The rooms are spacious and clean. They offer a seating area, small fridge, plates, silverware etc... the balcony is also large. The bathrooms are clean and modern. Right across the street is the stop for hop on and hop off bus, do super convenient. The breakfast buffet is very good

We came to this hotel out of season for a surprise 40th birthday weekend. It was quiet, which was just right. The staff were very attentive and friendly, could not fault the hotel at all. They accommodated us well and were so kind. They provided 2 birthday cakes for those in our group who were celebrating, and even offered a complimentary drink.
We came half board and the food was well prepared. There was always something good to choose from. There isn't a drink with your meal (not even water) so that was the only downside as we were not aware. But everything else was fine.
The hotel rooms were very spacious and clean. Probably the biggest room I've stayed in. The beds were very comfortable and I had a good nights sleep. There is a small gym in the basement and the pool is there. We didn't go in as it is in the shade. We did go to the beach, which is of course lovely. If I were to return to this area, I wouldn't mind staying here again.

We had a fantastic experience in regards to our stay at this hotel. Prior to arriving, I reached out and requested a sea view if possible and we were pleasantly surprised when they were able to upgrade us. Our view was spectacular; the hotel is centrally located on the Pria Da Rocha side of Portimão. A very comprehensive and delicious breakfast was also included, which was appreciated as there wasn’t much available or open in the downtown area. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. They gave us tips on where to dine as well as some areas to explore. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Parking is available for a very reasonable rate; contact the hotel prior to arriving to ensure available space. We were also pleasantly surprised by a delivery of some bottled water and a fruit basket. Highly recommend this hotel.
