I really enjoyed my stay in Byzantion. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the room was fantastic value for money. The balcony in the room had a great view of the castle and mountains and I spend a long time looking at the views! It was soundproof to the outside noise and the bed was comfortable. The shower was a little bit small, but it served its purpose. Breakfast was nice and light with a coffee machine and a terrace. The hotel provided a perfect base for me to explore Mystra, Mount Taygetos and the surrounding villages. It is completely central to the area and is around a twenty minute walk to the entrance of Mystras' archeological site. Five minutes up the road is the start of Taygetos mountain walking routes and access to other villages. A very nice, reasonably priced hotel close to the landmarks of Mystra.

Really great hotel! Location can't be beat - right in the center of town. Good size rooms, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was really good and the staff was friendly and very accommodating. We would definitely come back to this hotel!

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night so we could visit Mystras in the morning. The hotel is located a 5 - 10 minute drive from the lower and upper town of Mystras archeological site. We arrived quite late in the evening, but we noticed the hotel and they waited for us to check in, but were not the friendliest. The room was clean, with a nice view on Mystras. The bathroom however was not the best since the shower didn’t work very well. The breakfast was nice and we could eat on the cozy terrace. The hotel also has a private parking and a swimming pool. We didn’t use the swimming pool but it looked really nice.

An older style hotel, probably one of the original classier hotels in the area. We had a large room on second floor with a balcony overlooking the street and orange orchards. There was off street parking which was handy as we had a hire car. There was a nice pool area in the garden out the back although we didn't use it. Breakfast was provided and although they were obviously trying hard to meet a demand it possibly could be a little better. We managed to survive but would recommend getting to the dining room early because things not really replenished if they run out. Mystras is a beautiful area with some unexpected historical sites to explore. Be careful choosing a restaurant in the town as the one with the 'best' reviews is not always the safe choice. It was the end of the tourist season but still plenty of people around so no need to' drop the ball' on service & quality!

Room is typical European size. It was clean. Can have breakfast for €5 per person but the selection is small and not hot, even when it should be. 4 stars for the location. Served its purpose but a bit spendy for what you get. Staff is mostly helpful.

This small hotal is a little gem in the village of Mystras. Very good location in the Central Place it has very nice views to the Castle rooms. The managers are attentive and helpful, cleaning is very good and the breakfast is quite enough for preaparing yoursekf to hicking in the mountains. A definite hotel to stay in when visiting this part of Greece.

We had booked three rooms: two connecting rooms on the rear side of the building facing the garden. However these rooms were miniscule: there was hardly room to move around the bed. The window was tiny, as was the bathroom. However another room was at the street side: reasonably large, with a great balcony overlooking old Mystras. As written by other travellers, rooms are indeed a little worn and tired. Breakfast is reasonable. Some basics, but nothing exceptional. No fresh coffee could be served though. Of course the pool is nice after a hike in Mystras, and kids will love it.

The hotel in located in the centre of the village of Mystras in a stately old building. Our room had a view of the village square and surrounding tavernas. The village is a great base for exploring the medieval site of Mystras up the mountain. The hotel is simply furnished but does have a pool for cooling off after a serious day of exploring the site. The breakfast was ample and the outdoor eating area was the perfect place to enjoy the food with the early morning sun.

We booked 2 nights here to look around Sparti and the surrounding areas. We hired a car from Athens Airport and drive the 2hrs 30mins to the hotel. Our room was facing the front with wonderful views of the mountains and the castle. The room was adequate for 2 days stay and it was nice and clean, bathroom was great with no problems with water pressure or temperature. Staff were very friendly and very quick check in. The only negative I would say is the breakfast. We felt that there want really enough variety and the milk tasted off when I had my cereal. I did bring it up with the staff. We ate an evening meal in the restaurant opposite and the food was tasty and the owner was friendly. I would definitely recommend staying here if you want to stop over before moving on.
