I booked Ikos Olivia as a special holiday for my husband and I. It was our first time at an Ikos resort and I have to say, they surpassed all of our expectations and more. The glass of Prosecco on arrival set us up for a fabulous stay. We have felt truly spoilt! The grounds are immaculate and the food is good at all the restaurants. The Flavours Restaurant had an amazing variety but we did like the opportunity to dine in the other a-la-carte restaurants. We went to Provence for breakfast one morning - the food was good but they brought it all out at once, which we didn’t expect. We remembered this when we had breakfast at Ouzo! We had a lovely meal in the Anaya restaurant, which was Asian cuisine. It’s a little detached from the rest of the hotel so you felt like you were dining out. The pool areas were clean and calm but we found the beach the most relaxing. The service was remarkable. We even had food delivered to our sun loungers! Our club sandwich and hot dog were enjoyed more as we sat and watched the sea. There was also someone who came round to clean your glasses for you! Every need was catered for. We used the spa and had a couple of treatments, which was fantastic. They are a little on the expensive side, but it’s worth the treat, as they do have offers on. I cannot praise the staff enough - they are warm and friendly and their hospitality is the best. Maria, Matilda and Elena who worked on the beach and the Helios Bar were so friendly and helpful. And Tomas and Dimitrius were generous at suggesting the wines and making sure our glasses were topped up! The WhatsApp service they provide (where you can ask questions and get an immediate response) was useful. We had a meal booked at Fresco for our last night. I had spotted bean bag chairs and tables on the beach so I requested one of the tables for our last night. I was told that they were for the Delux residents, however they later came back to me and said that we could have a table as a complimentary gift as it was our last night! We were speechless. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t play ball so we had to sit inside, but the offer that had been made still made it special. We went for 5 nights and it wasn’t enough! Feeling very sad to leave! Things we wished we’d tried - the MINI experience and the water skiing. If we’d had more time, we would’ve liked to have adventured outside the resort too!

We waited two years for this holiday, first booked in 2019 to go in May 2020, then postponed to 2021, then we finally got there in 2022. It was well worth the wait! From arriving, where our luggage was whisked away while we sat down with a member of the Guest Relations team and a glass of Champagne, to our departure when we were waved off, this holiday exceeded all expectations. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, the staff were friendly, helpful and always had time for a chat, the food was delicious in each of the five restaurants and beautifully served and what a well-kept secret the Greek wine turned out to be! We had 10 wonderful days at Ikos Olivia, so good that the day after we returned home I booked again for 2023. Special thanks to Eirini, Elena on Guest Relations, George at Ouzo , Thomas in Flavors, and Thomas the Chief Executive Sous Chef (he knows why) and we look forward to seeing you all next year.

Just got back from our stay at the Ikos Olivia, after visiting the Ikos Andalusia last year. The restaurants, service and people are absolutely second to none, cannot recommend enough visiting the Ikos Olivia and other hotels in the brand too, the experience across the whole group of hotels is consistently flawless.

We visited Olivia over Easter after having booked Oceania originally. Oceania was not due to open until a bit later in the year so we were moved to Olivia, which is about 30 minutes further up the coast. . Rooms: Compared to Oceania, where there are several blocks that have uninterrupted sea views, Olivia is quite flat so more of the sea view rooms are looking at the sea over the top of, or through gaps between buildings I think. If the sea view is very important to you I'd suggest getting beach front accommodation. . We had a one bedroom sea view apartment which overlooked the beach pool, Ouzo restaurant at the front and the sea beyond. Some other members of our family also stayed at the same time as us, in a panoramic room in the main building and the views here were really lovely, even though the building is quite a way back from the beach. To be honest, the communal / public areas all around are so nice, we didn't spend that much time in our rooms anyway! . Mini bar and toiletries were restocked regularly and the room was cleaned every day, morning and night. . Weather/pool: In April when we visited, the weather was ok; we had a couple of really nice sunny days but mostly it was pleasant although a bit windy. Most days I was glad to have my hoody in my bag to put on every now and again. . The swimming pools, although heated, were absolutely freezing - some kids had wetsuits on which is a really good idea, I wish I'd thought of that!!! If you're going this early in the year, you definitely need a coat or jumper at night because it did get chilly. The sun loungers around the deluxe pool were incredible! It was like laying on an actual bed and the mattresses were at least 6" thick! Pool buddies are always on hand to fetch a towel or bring an additional sunbed to you. We always found somewhere to sit by the pool and there were very few people who reserved beds early in the morning so there was no need to worry about whether we would get a bed for the day or not. . Lounge areas: The one downside we found to Olivia is that there wasn't enough indoor seating / lounge areas in the evening for when it's not warm enough to sit outside. The lobby is quite small for the number of guests and a couple of evenings we couldn't get a seat. . Food and drink: There are four a la carte restaurants to choose from (plus the buffet). When we visited, it was at the beginning of the season so I think quite a few of the staff were new and still finding their feet, so service was a bit slow to start with, but this quickly picked up. . The food is exceptional, with a great selection and it's lovely to go all inclusive and enjoy a la carte restaurants and waiter service rather than buffet. . What was a really lovely surprise for me was that there's a really nice selection of non-alcoholic drinks and cocktails on the drinks menus. We had Seedlip which is a gin made from peas which was really nice and Nozecco (no alcohol prosecco) as well as several other non-alcoholic cocktails which felt really grown up, rather than kids style juice based mocktails. We've just returned from Dassia and they didn't have such a good non-alcoholic selection so I thought this was a really nice touch at Olivia. . Service: Service is brilliant at all Ikos's and Olivia is no exception. From the beach / pool buddies who bring you a towel and clean your sunglasses (yes they did!), the pool staff who bring drinks and snacks to your lounger (special mention to Olga who was very sweet and always very attentive). The gardening staff and cleaning staff working away quietly in the background, but always with a smile and a kalimera, make the communal areas and gardens an absolute delight. I particularly love the herb garden and seeing kitchen staff out there collecting snippings for the meals and drinks! . I mentioned to concierge that we had experienced some slow service in one of the restaurants, and they then put us in touch with Veroni in Guest Relations who she was wonderful! She amended some of our restaurant reservations and came to find us a few times during our stay to see how we were getting on. We really felt looked after and I think it's this kind of service that really makes Ikos stand out from other hotel brands. The staff really do care about guests and want to do everything possible to make sure we have an amazing holiday. Veroni has even been back in touch with us since we've been home to check that we were happy with everything. You don't get this kind of service anywhere else in the world! . Summary: Even with slow service one day, views not as good as Oceania and not enough seating in the lobby, it's impossible not to give this resort 5 stars. The facilities are great, cleanliness is exceptional (everywhere smells AMAZING), the food is top notch and the staff are warm, welcoming and accommodating. Just brilliant from the moment we're collected from the airport to the moment we're dropped back off. I can't image ever going non-Ikos ever again!

Great hotel and totally all inclusive. Not like some others where this is included oh but not this bit. Great food and amenities. I hate all inclusives but this one where I would gladly go again and again if this one is anything to go by then I will go to all of them based on this one. The food in the buffet is warm and fresh not like a secondary thought compared to other hotels. The junior suite are small if you have big teens so something to think about when booking.
