Beautiful hotel with comfortable rooms and tasty breakfast. We’ll be back in spring or summer to enjoy this lovely area. The dinner in the brewery was typical German dishes but good and big. The staff was very friendly and all places are really nice.
The location of the hotel is absolutely beautiful, but you do not feel welcome as a guest. The reception staff is unfriendly and not smiling at all. You do not get the feeling that you are welcome as a guest. The only friendly welcome you get are the emails, which do not reflect the experience in the hotel. Worst of all we did not sleep well due to noisy room. It was summer, the hotel room was hot, no aircon, we had to open our windows and could not sleep. The window of our room faced the patio, as well as the bar where two different stag nights were taking place. Loud disco music with open doors until 2 pm. The next day the stag parties were gone but there was a family party going on, noisy guests until well into the night!!! The second night with disturbed sleep. We wanted to stay in the area because of the beautiful and quiet nature, but this hotel was ruining our stay. Room quite small, but freshly renovated. Breakfast, you had to choose the time due to corona. Breakfast room was very busy, buffet style breakfast, nobody keeping the distance. We could only choose 10.00 am, as every other time was taken. We were told that breakfast runs until 10.30, yes, okay, but the buffet was not replenished and more and more dishes were just gone and not refilled. The personell started taking everything away before 10.30!!! I would not recommend this hotel.…
We enjoyed our stay here - it was quiet, despite some wedding taking place. The breakfast was very good, a lot of food to choose from. The hotel is nicely designed. Free parking. Nice personnel, especially the Polish waitress was extremely friendly.
Very nice hotel just along side the Spree river, 45min south of Berlin. Very friendly staff. The best family arrangements in Suite De Lux. With their own beer brewery and Biergarten the evening was a success and breakfast in the fine dining area this morning made the experience superb! We will for sure visit again !
It is tricky to give the SPREEWALDRESORT Seinerzeit a rating for the reasons I have provided below. First of all, a car is a MUST if you want to take advantage of the spa package. My girlfriend purchased the spa package for a weekend away in the belief that the spa facilities are on site or, at least, nearby; there is unfortunately no mention on the website that the spa resort is located some 25km from the hotel. We took the train from Berlin to Lübben train station, where we discovered that no public buses run to Schlepzig after 17:00. We waited an hour for the only taxi in town to collect us and take us the 15km to Schlepzig at a cost of 20 EUR. It may be worth the hotel providing a shuttle service to and from the station to Schlepzig (three times a day at 9:00, 12:00, 18:00 would certainly suffice). At the hotel, the receptionist looked at us in stunned disbelief when we said we didn't have a car and went on to inform us that the spa resort is a further 25km away. The hotel does not provide a shuttle service or hire cars to the spa resort, and there is no public transport to speak of. A shrug of the shoulders. Ho-hum. The solution: the following morning, the friendly daytime receptionist was more understanding of our predicament and refunded us the spa package in the form of vouchers that could be spent at the hotel. That is all well and good, but it is difficult to spend EUR 200+ in the hotel's restaurant and we were left with a considerable surplus. The food at the hotel was perfectly fine, but as there was a wedding party that evening regular hotel guests were demoted to secondary priority in terms of service. It took a good 15 minutes to be seated and orders were handled very slowly. I would recommend going to the brewery adjoining the hotel, which offers a good selection of beer and decent traditional German food. The room and modern bathroom were well furnished and stylish. The heated floors were much appreciated in the middle of October! The bed was extremely comfortable and there was no noise. In the abence of the spa package, we spent our time in Schlepzig and Lübben, which have little to offer visitors in the autumn and winter months. If it had been summer, we would have hired bikes to reach the spa resort. Oh well.…
We were there, with my boyfriend for a 'peaceful weekend' outside Berlin. The first thing you need to know is that EVERY WEEKEND there are weddings taking place there. We were first located in a room upstairs, with a window facing the inner patio. The music from the party was literally inside the room, it was impossible not hear it. We had to close the windows and suffer the heat inside. When we arrived, on a Friday evening, we saw there was construction taking place at the very entrance of the building but we were told it wouldn't take place on a weekend. Next morning at 7.30 we were woken up by a horribly loud drilling sound. We had not option but to get up. We complained, they offered a discount and to change us to another, bigger, quieter, room. We did. That same night THERE WAS ANOTHER WEDDING taking place. It's impossible to relax in this place, you hear people all day long, coming and going, arranging the place for the night, then partying. The room was better ( more like a little house with a nice big bed and a little outside area for us) but there was a NEW NOISE.. yes! amazing! This time there was some kind of stractor that they later explain us, they can do nothing about because it belongs to the Brewery just next to them. By the way, don't expect a SPA. THERE IS NO SPA in this hotel. The pictures they advertise on their site on the 'wellness' section are from another hotel, in another town. There is no pool or sauna. The staff is at least not helpful. The breakfast waiter looked pissed all the time. We had a dirty cup and we had to wait and wait to get another one. Things get empty, the milk, the juice, and nobody seems to realize or care. DON'T EXPECT ANYONE TO SPEAK ENGLISH! On the other hand, the surroundings are beautiful, the canals, kayaking, very nice little towns, lots of green. Just don't stay here!…
so nice area much green and relax staff are very friendly i lke it so much rooms are big and comfortable you can do much activite this hotel specialy you have to try beer from their own beer amazing taste
We spent a romantic weekend here and had a beautiful superior suite with a nice bath and ethanol fire place. Nice nature around to have nice walks or boat and canoe trips in Spreewald, in case of suitable weather conditions, which we did not have. Food in restaurant is alright but not as nice as we had hoped from what rest of location was like in quality. Service was great though.
Pros: lovely location, excellent rooms, great breakfast buffet, romantic setting and you really have the feeling of being "away". Cons: service in the restaurant (we had dinner) is not good, and the dining room could do with a modern face lift. The rooms and the dining area do not match whatsoever. The rooms have the perfect blend of old & new, the dining area is simply stuffy. No phone/ internet reception in the room (this can also be a plus, depending on what you're looking for!). Hotel is very difficult to reach with public transport, you will need to invest in a taxi ride (20 EUR each way).
We took a family appartment with Sauna and it is very very nice. Very autenthic, spacious and very comfortable. Beautiful ""beer" garden and sorroundings outside.... you could spend a whole day there,,,,,,, for breakfast, try homemade marmelade, mjami.
