Stayed on our first night of the Alps2Ocean and loved it. Well worth including on your itinerary for so many reasons; stunning location (even if it is cloudy and rains, you still get a sense of the amazing landscape around you), serenely peaceful (can't explain why, just is!), incredible home food (steaks, fresh new potatoes and then rhubarb crumble with ice cream!!) and great hosts. Julia looked after us really well and breakfast and pack lunches were better than the ones we had from the larger hotels in the area. Its also worth looking at the book they have there on high country stations, as it gives you a sense of history of the various stations and what people have put into it to achieve what you see today!

We were fortunate enough to spend 2 wonderful nights in the 'Middle Cottage' in June. The cottage was just beautiful. Everything we could want/need was there & more. The fire was lit when we arrived & the extra touches throughout were very much appreciated. The cottage itself is beautifuly furnished & very clean.
The views from the Middle Cottage were breathtaking. We were lucky enough to experience all different weather while there, sunshine, fog, rain, wind - but that made our stay even more beautiful.
This was one of the top highlights of our first NZ trip!
Thank you Julia for making our stay so wonderful & sharing your beautiful property with us. We hope to be back in the future!

Billion dollar view! The view doesn't get any better in New Zealand. Stayed at the beautiful Middle Cottage for 2 nights and felt like rock stars. The cottage is only 5 years old, beautifully, simply decorated, and so comfortable. Beds and shower were awesome! We had Lake Pukaki all to ourselves...we were the only ones on the beach. Kitchen has all the cooking supplies you need. There's a grill out back. Church of the Good Shepherd, restaurants and grocery store 30 minute drive away in Lake Tekapo. Coffee tea milk and sugar were supplied by our generous and friendly host Julie. Wifi and TV also provided. This cottage stay was the highlight of my 2 week vacation in New Zealand. Breathtaking view without any hike necessary. So many stars at night! Saw Venus and Mars. Would love to bring more of my family back.

As the first night on our 5 day trip, Julia and Hamish set a very high standard for the rest of the week. Our stay at Station Cottage was a highlight. From the clean, well laid out cottage, to the dinner which we could cook when ready, the views of Aoraki Mt Cook and the relaxing vibe that was Braemar Station, we loved it!
Definitely recommend.

Our group of 8 stayed one night at the station's Shearers Lodge - gosh we wished we were there for longer! An amazing property with the most incredible view (despite the few clouds). The accomodation itself was dreamy and catered perfectly to our group. Julia's communication and understanding during covid was delightful. We hope to be back soon!

What a treasure! Day one of A2O and rode up to Pine Cottage after a bumpy ride. The stunning view and cosy cottage was so welcoming. We loved the food, beds and wonderful service from Coco. Dinner and breakfast was exceptional and the packed lunch was just spot on. We are all thinking of another reason to revisit as we enjoyed the whole experience so much. Thank you.

We stayed in Braemar on the first night of our A2O ride. Fabulous location , couldn't take enough photos of the mountains and lake. Julia supplies a lovely meal with the best steaks plus salads and excellent apple crumble . All you need the following day for breakfast plus a nice packed lunch to take on our journey.
