Commandingly situated at the bottom of the red piste 23 in Sonnenalpe this smart hotel is only metres from the lifts, ski school office, and ski rental shop. Location, location, location….

The staff are delightfully helpful, and despite one slightly chaotic dinner the service couldn’t be faulted. The food was mostly fantastic, spectacular buffet breakfast, and quality dinners with a quite sophisticated menu, never grew tired of the salad option all week.
The rooms vary, some are recently refurbished with lovely bathrooms, check before you book. Bed was amazingly comfortable, and good Wi-Fi throughout. The only grumble about the facilities is that there are no kettles / coffee making facilities in the room, and some hair conditioner would have been nice (I guess that they expect people to bring their own preferred brand?). The hotel was spotlessly clean. Credit to the hardworking housekeepers.

The spa is delightful with all the usual options, and the ‘table service; in the outdoor Jacuzzi is the height of indulgence….

The ski boot room could perhaps do with a few more benches, but warmed / dried boots well overnight.

All in all, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. We had a lovely time.

As spoiled travellers, having stayed at top hotels around the world, we can only conclude, that the Wulfenia Hotel in Nassfeld is amongst the best that we stayed at. Great location, directly on the ski slopes, with its own outdoor and indoor apres ski bar, that closes well before you go to bed. In addition a great spa and fitness area, with indoor and outdoor facilities as well. The hotel underwent modernization recently and can boast a modern, yet warm and cosy atmosphere, including a very nice bar and lobby area immediately off the restaurant. Speaking of which: both the extensive breakfast buffet as well as the dinner choices are of high quality and offer something for everyone. But possibly the greatest gem of all, is the staff at the Wulfenia Hotel: very professional, but at the same time very attentive with a great personal touch and a kind smile for everyone. Hospitality at its best!

Perfectly equipped hotel located in a beautiful destination Nassfeld. The hotel has a very nice wellness: big swimming pool with bicycles in the water, Finnish sauna, steam room, outside whirpool, outside salt pool and also fitness centre. It is really an appropriate place for winter and summer holiday as well. Sufficient parking places. Absolutely delicious cuisine. However not all the restaurant staff can be called customer oriented. We experienced with two shifts of the staff. One was perfect, but the other one was not very interested in the clients.

We like this hotel as its location is beutiful and very comfortable, provides easy approach to the lifts and slopes. We also appreciate that it is the hotel for adults only. It has absolutely excellent and delicious cuisine, customer-oriented staff in all services. Perfectly equipped wellness/spa area which is a good option for physical and relaxing activities when the weather is not suitable for skiing.

Our stay at the hotel was truly memorable, with its luxurious spa offering the ultimate relaxation experience. The food, pleasantly surpassing our expectations, was a consistent treat, and the easy access to the slopes was a great plus. Above all, the warmth and friendliness of the staff added a personal touch to our visit.

Spent two nights in hotel, everything looks, but just looks ok! Experienced the real chasing through hotel premises by young waiter looking for the bill signature that had already been done before to the older waiter! No apology until next day and than only after complaint! Left two swimming suits and mobile charger in the room after checking out, called three hours after and got promises that stuff would be sent by mail on my account! Called hotel 16 days after: lady i spoke first time had been fired in the meantime and did not leave any information. The new one promised to solve the problem in few days. I called again in four days, "second" lady went on free days and did not inform anybody about my case, gentleman ("second in charge of the hotel") promised the solution, however four days after informed me that they could not find my staff! No real apology, no explanation, no nothing!!!!

Never in my life I've been treated the way the hotel manager Klaudia had treated us, a group of five women who hoped for a nice relaxing, stress-free get-together extended weekend. She openly told us she would always side with Austrians as she's a proud Austrian and not 'Your people" and called us eastern European cows. The heating in one of the rooms wasn't working and even though an engineer was sent in 4 times to fix it, he wasn't able to do it. A very nice and kind receptionist called Georgia, checked the radiators herself and confirmed the heating wasn't working, but the manager Klaudia, kept saying we lied about the heating as she went to the room herself and the room was warm. She actually went in without asking for a permission and according to one of the members of her staff, whom she regularly verbally abuses, she was deliberately stepping on our things and again reffered to us as 'Slavic cows'. We spoke to at least 10 people working there and they've all been fearful of her and they also confirmed what she openly told us, she treats better German speaking guests than other nationalities. We asked for an apology for the way she spoke to us in front of other guests in the spa area where she told me to be quiet while she was lecturing us about having soft drinks in the Spa area (she grabbed a bottle from my friend's hands while at the same time a group of German speaking guests were drinking alcohol in the hot tub). I started telling her this is not the way to speak to paying customers and she growled at me like some spinster headmistress in a Catholic school to be quiet while she talks. She refused to apologise for her discriminatory and despicable behaviour and threatened us with the police. She also said that 10 guys made a complaint about us about being too loud. I asked her would those be the guys who were diving in the pool and being overly loud and cheerful while drinking cocktails in the hot-tub. She obviously made that up. I have to say that all the staff are lovely, apart from her and the man and the woman who work there as massage therapists (David and Stanka) and are equally rude and appalling. All the waiters (especially Damir), barmen, engineers, cleaning ladies couldn't be more lovelier and helpful. If it wasn't for them I would never ever recommend this hotel. If there's any way you could avoid any contact with that reprehensible woman, I would recommend this otherwise lovely hotel; or else, if you're not German speaking, stay away from this hotel until they replace that horrible person. Someone like Georgia, who knows how to treat people with respect and dignity, especially people who spend there lots of money, would be nice to handle situations and manage the hotel.
