Our room was a partial sea view and had a lovely sit out area.
Rooms were very neat and clean. Overall maintenance of the property was really good. All rooms had AC and Free Wi-Fi. They also offered discount at nearby restaurants as they did not offer food.
Property has a private beach which is slightly rocky however very relaxing. Property has maintained a little lawn space there with loungers etc. We could spend hours sitting there.
We had a lovely time during our anniversary stay and would surely recommend it as its value for money.
Why
Pros- Private beach, Solitude, Big Rooms, Sit out area, walking distance from Sai Kaew Beach.
Cons – No restaurant – no breakfast at hotel, no room service.

However I could not believe what a dreadful place Koh Samet has become, it has been completely destroyed by Chinese day trippers arriving via speed boat [from 8:30 in the morning to 17:00 there is a constant, and I mean constant stream of speed boats going past the resort]. When we walk round to Sai Kaew beach my heart sank, the beach was so busy you could only walk along the shore line in the sea, there were so many speed boats revving their engines dropping off day trippers it was awful. What used to be [less than 4 years ago] a stunning peaceful white sandy beach has become your worst nightmare and I for one will never go back.
Though it may seem to be located pretty far away from the main street, you could actually walk to the Sai Kaew beach within 3-min using shortcuts around the area. Please feel free ask the staff for direction if necessary!
If you would like to visit the main street, it will only be a very comfortable 5-10 minutes walk, or simply take a taxi from the nearby Sai Kaew Beach Resort and you will get there in under 2-min.
The rooms at Larissa Samed was clean and spacious, and with a decent patio which you could still chill with your friends/partner when it rains. If you walk towards the seaside, you can find tables/sunchairs for chilling and gathering. Feel free to mingle with the other guests if they are up for it.
Larissa Samed is an amazing spot where you can 100% get away from your busy life and stay relaxed for the entirety of the stay. It was so chill that we did not realize that we have not taken any pictures of the hotel...XD
***I would like to specially mention the Talay Bar restaurant right next to the hotel, which is located at the end of Sai Kaew Beach. The seafood dishes and Thai cuisine you could enjoy there are simply delicious, and with sandbags next to the sea for you to enjoy a few drinks. It was mesmerizing***
Very hospitable service, the only downside was that they didn't have a restaurant and couldn't offer breakfast, but it's only a short walk to find proper breakfast.
Especially the king size bed!!!!
I recomend this place. You can rent a s ooter just 20m from the resort.
Enjoy ko Samed.
The Larissa location is great because it is only a 2 minute walk to the main beach with all the restaurants, beaches and nightlife action, but they have their own beautiful private beach that is quiet and perfect for sunrises.
I have traveled extensively in ALL types of lodging and remote locations worldwide. One of the most refreshing things for me to see is when the staff treat the facility and guests, like they own the property. The service, friendly atmosphere and smiles present everywhere are a reflection of the Goi's great management of the resort. I truly hope the owners give her the support, time off and accolades her leadership deserves.
Highly recommend this property and Ko Samet.
