We were only here for one night, and booked beforehand for a very reasonable price. The room was spacious and the hote was right next to the beach, the communication beforehand was difficult but on arrival the staff were friendly. The beach is about ten steps from the rooms and there are lots of bars and restaurants to eat nearby.

We just came to Koh Samed, spontaneously decided to stay overnight. We compared to some places and this hotel was quite good. Room size was acceptable. They had glass wall to separate the sink and shower. Bed was so comfortable. There was a sofa bed, so it fitted for three of us. We paid THB 1,500 per night (which was acceptable in Koh Samed, I think). It was only 1 minute walking to Vong Duen Beach. Many option for dining around this hotel.

It was my second time in Samet and I give Blue Dolphin Resort "five" for service, for location and for prices. I arrived to Nuan Thip pier very late night and the lady from the hotel met me there with speed boat and bring me to the hotel. In the morning I realized that Ao Wong Duen, where hotel located, is the most peaceful beach and everything just very close. Perfect option for couples and for people who traveling alone.

Did really like the hotel room it got everything you need for a comfortable stay for a good price. Host lady is very friendly and the stay of 3 days was good. Ask for a room on the upper floor there you can sit on the balcony which is very nice. Totally recommend this hotel.

I stayed here in Dec. 2014. I found it to be a tiny closet of a room; it should have cost maybe $30USD instead of the $115USD that I paid. There was a terrible smell coming from the bathroom, and the sink was broken such that all the water drained directly onto the floor...toothpaste and all. I ended up having to brush my teeth in the shower. The receptionist attempted to fix the sink by jiggling it a couple of times (on multiple occasions since I requested maintenance every morning), but without parts, how could she really fix it? I was there for four nights, and they didn't even offer to move me to one of the other vacant rooms. There was good wifi in the room, and also a large screen tv, but no foreign channels, so the tv was really just for looks (and not that you spend time watching tv anyway, but it's nice at night to check out the news or fall asleep watching a movie). The place is just steps from the beach, which was great. The Black Marine right next door has good food. I would never stay at the Blue Dolphin again. Just thinking about that smell still makes me gag. If you want to stay on this bay, check out Tom's Pizza.

I visit Samet often and was pleased to have found this small hotel block when booking with friends. We stayed at Blue Dolphin for 2 nights and all enjoyed our short stay. The beds were comfortable and the decoration was clean and modern.

There seemed to be some minor electrical problems as when showering the water heater ticked on and off and lights dipped.
Wires hang low over the resort exit stairs and the outside street could be better taken care of better for a prettier view. It is rather expensive for the small resort that it is and some English speaking tv channels could be added to the many Thai channels available.
Free fast wifi is always a bonus.

Overall a comfortable break away on the beach in a nice location on Samet.
